Edmund didn't bother to knock as he opened the front door. Edmund made his way up the stairs, taking off his red sox baseball cap. He was also wearing a base ball camp sweatshirt, shorts and sneakers. His usual daily attire. He walked in as if he lived in the place. Well actually he practically did. No, that was not right either. The Kepling house was not practically home for Edmund, it was his home. Just as much as the Erikson household was Lexi's home. Hell, he even called her parents mom and dad at times and no one cared to say otherwise, because they practically were his parents as well. Edmund opened the door of Lexi's room. She wasn't there yet so he flopped down onto her bed waiting for her to return.

From outside, Ari pushed open the house door, head phones in her ears and her classic snapback pulled over her golden locks. The tattoo marring her left shoulder blade was in full view thanks to her tank top, black inking clashing against her tan skin slick with a light sheen of sweat. Setting her baseball bat down beside the door, she headed toward the kitchen to grab an apple from the island. "So if you hear me out of breath, I'm singing: Go to hell! If you're reading this, then I'm not here." Belting out the lyrics while bobbing her head in time with the song, she took a bite from the apple, grin in place as she spun around to head toward the stairs.
"And let me make this crystal clear that I don't need your help and I'm okay by myself." Tossing her half-eaten apple up in the air, she pushed open her door. The baseball hat pulled over her honey-colored braid made her, no doubt, look like the classic baseball chick. Seeing Eddie on her bed, she beamed from behind him. "Guess who?" Which was ridiculous because he knew her voice better than anyone else on the planet, whether she was singing a song or trying not to cry. Flopping down on her back beside him, she turned her head to look over at him. "You ready for the game this Saturday?" She arched an eyebrow in his direction, taking another chomp of her apple before offering him a bite. Ever since they were kids, they had shared everything- Germs be damned.
(I kinda love them already xD)

(Gosh, I can feel the click already <3 )Edmund was able to tell that it was Lexi coming to the room long before she even came in. For one thing he heard her singing Go to Hell by Go Radio downstairs. And then her foot steps. Yeah, Edmund and Lexi knew each other so well they could tell who it was just by the sound of their foot steps. Lexi's foot steps had an irregular beat where they went more like 1 2 3 while others had more of a 1 2 beat. The first two steps were a bit soft but after that there was a slight stomp as if she was jumping or skipping or something like that. It was hard to describe her footsteps like her personality and looks were one of a kind.
Edmund felt a slight pang in his heart as she laid down next to him. He was so tempted to just turn over on his side and kiss her. Those were most of his fantasies now a days. But he pushed the feeling back. Lexi was his best friend and he loved her enough that he wouldn't ruin what was between them by kissing her and making everything awkward. "Are you kidding? Old Lyme is going to lose so bad. They're pitcher is terrible." He said, taking the apple from her hand and taking a bite before handing it back.

(They're kinda adorable <33)
Almost as if to make her presence even more known, Ari grinned from her point walking up the stairs. "So we put our hands up, like the ceiling can't hold us." Eddie knew practically every song on her Ipod, so he'd have no trouble at all being able to tell which song she was singing now, humming to the upbeat tune. By the time she made it to her room, she was practically dancing before plopping down beside him. It was almost as fun as their routines: Every time they went grocery shopping together, Eddie knew to be ready for her to start dancing down the isles. And though he wasn't much for being a freak like she was in public, she'd occasionally convince him to dance with her in between tossing bread in the carts. It made the time pass faster while shopping.
At his words, her lips tilted up as she tossed her hat off, beginning to undo her braid. "Not to mention Jason has a killer arm." She had once tried to convince their pitcher to teach her how he managed to chuck the ball that hard and that fast. Yeah, it had only ended with her very nearly throwing her arm out of place. Shaking out her honey locks, she raked a hand through it before grabbing the apple and taking another bite. "I heard Old Lyme's coach makes the worst calls, too." Bouncing off the bed, she headed toward her dresser to grab a change of clothes. Clothes that weren't sweaty and gross. Her tattoo flashed under the Christmas lights as she pulled a drawer open.

"True. They used to be a fun team last year and then they're good players left. Kinda feel bad for them a little. I don't think they haven't won a game for over two years." He said with a shrug, and then grinned. As he watched her dance around the room and then pull out her clothes, his eyes lingering on her tattoo for a moment before glancing away. He really needed to get over this stupid phase thing. It had already been four months since it started. And she was a year older, she'd probably want guys her age as a boyfriend. And they practically were a couple. Only it was a lot more one sided if it was being looked at like that. "Hey, do you have any homework? I was thinking we could watch a movie or something? I snagged a copy of Silver Linings Playbook." He said with a grin, holding out the movie which starred Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrance. Other wise known as one of her favorite actors and his favorite actress. Not to mention Robert Di Nero was in it. And it seemed hilarious. They both had been dying to see it, but hadn't had the time to watch it in theaters.

Ari nodded in ageement, shuffling through all her clothes in the different drawers. She was looking for her favorite pair of sweats, the ones with Baseball stamped across the butt in fancy lettering. Eddie and her had always found those types of pants hilarious- They'd always said it was just an excuse to have people stare at you. But seeing her sweats at the store? Yeah, their softness had won her over. Not to mention it was baseball they had mentioned. Most pants like that were nearly always talking about softball, like girls weren't permitted to play baseball. "Yeah, their star pitcher was Jason something, right? But he graduated a few years back." Like she would be after next year. Just the thought of being away from Eddie for that long, not having anyone to be completely balls-to-the-walls crazy with? Not to mention just not having him around.
The thought itself was devestating.
Finally finding her pants, she grinned in truimph, pulling out another tank top. Hearing his words, she whirled around. She had been waiting to see that movie since forever and Eddie, because he was the best person in the world, knew it. All but tackling him in a hug, she pulled away -because ewwie, she was sweaty and gross- after a moment. "You, Elvis, are a God-sent." Shooting him a bright smile, she grabbed her clothes and bounced back off the bed. No doubt looking like the Energiser bunny. "Let me just take a quick shower because I no doubt smell like I don't even know and you can set up the DVD player." He'd done it countless of times, enough to definitely know how.
