"Wow," Kylie said, as the car drove up to the pile of rocks on the beach, the dark holes of caves gaping out in the moonlit night, "What is this place called? I've never been here!"
Xander parks the car inbetween two large rocks and gets out without answering Kylie, he opens her car door and helps her out. Xander watches her face intently, blue eyes blazing, this is his place. He's never taken anyone here. His hands grip her upper arms gently, "This is mine" is all he says, because thats all there is to say.
"Wow, you're rich," she replied, barely glancing at him as she walked towards the rocks, her shirt rippling around her in the sea breeze, her hair a wild tangle around her face as she turned back to look at him with a small smile, "It's beautiful."
Xander watches her carefully, she's beautiful and so is this place, they suit he thinks. Xander comes closer to her and starts to lead her up a small cliff, he looks at her his dirty blond hair blowing in the wind, "I came here when i was younger and never stopped, it ws the only place that felt...right", it's hard to explan.
Xander threads his fingers through hers and holds on tight, "You like it....i never brought anyone here" he says.
Kylie looked up at him in surprise at that. Never brought anyone before? Then why her? He'd barely known her for an hour."Ok," was all she said though.
Xander laughs lightly, he knows she must be confused by that confession, he squeezes her hand and says "I have no idea why you princess. Sometimes there isn't a reason, sometimes it's just life".
"Yeah," Kylie said, "Life can throw you loops that have you thinking what the hell at first, and then later leave you wondering how on earth you could have missed that until now."Somehow, being with him out here in the open hair, with the thundering roar of the sea on the surf, made him seem more vulnerable in a lot of ways...but stronger in others.
Xander's face sofens at her words but he doesn't loo back at her. Xander spent his whole life trying to show no weakness, he'd had to otherwise he would have been destroyed, "This is the one place where i can breath, the only place" he says.
"Besides breathing in the rest of the world," Kylie laughed lightly, but then the sound felt awkward to her, and she added quieter, "I know what you mean. For me it's my roof. When my parents, I mean I love my parents, but when they get just a little over-bearing on me, trying to push me into the family business and all, that's where I can just get away from it all."
Xander comes to stop at the top of the hill, a cave opening is there. Xander lets out a breath before pulling Kylie inside with him. Xander leads her to thorugh it for about ten minutes until they comes out through the other side where nothing but the ocean stretching out can be seen, waves crashing against the side.
Kylie didn't say anything for a few moments, just watching the sea crashing against the rocks."It's just like you," she said finally, glancing over her shoulder at him, "You're like this cave. Rough on the outside, but...beautiful inside." She shrugged slightly, wondering where her words suddenly came from, "If you get what I mean."
Xander turns suddenly, his eyes blazing that weird shade of blue, his eyes search out hers. Xander takes her other hand and says "How about you princess. You are DEFINITELY beautiful on the outside, but you already know that. What about the inside, are you as impossibly innocent and kind as you seem?", it's not really a question, he already knows the answer.
"Um," Kylie stammers, taken aback slightly by his sudden fierceness, his eyes boring at her with a strange light, "I would guess...I don't know. I'm just...me."(I gtg. Be back Mon XD)
Xander nods, not letting go of her hands as he leads her to a rock. He lays down on his and pulls Kylie over so she does too. Xander looks over at her and says "For the record, I like just you", he turns away again.
Kylie didn't reply immediately as she lay down on her stomach next to him on the rock, propping her chin on her hands as she looked out at the ocean."Thanks," she finally said, glancing over at him, "I've really never had anyone say that to me. Most of my friends...they just like my money and status more than me."
Xander frowns for a moment, then turns so he is facing Kylie, his blue flame eyes flash with something he cannot name, "Well you are the princess. Aren't all girls jealous of the princess?" he says genuinely. He watches her completely.
"I don't know," Kylie said with a small shrug, brushing some hair out of her eyes, "But I don't try to act like a princess, or be like the typical "rich" girl...but sometimes it's so hard when everyone expects that of me, to be someone I'm not."
"I stopped caring about what other people wanted me to be a long time ago. I had to. If you let that rule your life then you're fucked, because nobody can pretend forever" says Xander slowly, the story of his life, being the wrong kind of person. "Nothing wrong with being a princess. Princesses are beautiful, kind and clever." Xander smiles strangely at Kylie, for real this time, in the only place he can be vunerable.
"Well," Kylie smiled softly at him, her whole sweet side showing through at the pain she could see in this boy, "Now someone likes you for who you are, not what you should or shouldn't be," she looked him up and down quickly, "And for the record, you seem a prince to me."
Xander laughs at that, but there is no humour in it, only long held back pain, "Not me princess. My brothers always been the prince, if anything i'm the knight, and not the noble kind either. The knight never gets the happy ending, or the girl." he says. Xander turns to look up at the sky, it's grey but Xander says "I always liked the sky better when it's grey. Most people like it clear blue, but the grey is so much more true to life, mixed with bits of white and black, i like painting the grey sky more too. It's like the sky is trying to keep secrets, everyone and everything has secrets, even the sky".
"Huh, seems you got the girl with you now," Kylie chuckled softly, and then looked up the sky with him. "So instead of writing like your brother, you paint." she said, "Paintings are like words come to life...and yes, of all of us, I think the sky has the most secrets, because it's seen them all."
Xander turns to look at Kylie again, fixing her with his pure blue eyes, "I paint and draw, coal is my favourite, the shadowing it creates is brilliant. Plus it's what got me started on it all. I'd probably be dead right now if it weren't for my art. Got me out of a bad place. And the sky hasn't seen it all, because every thought we have is hidden, that must be why it rains, because the sky is so frustrated when we don't tell it all our secrets. Or maybe because we pray and the sky knows it can do nothing to help us" he says.
"Wow," Kylie breathed, looking up at him as he said all that, transfixed by his words. What was it with him and his brother, the way they could just capture you with their eyes and hold you there?
Xander knows he is staring but he can't really help it, he knows he'll have to draw this girl a million times later, his hand already aches to do it. "But i don't really know anything for certain. Thats why i'm an artist, i don't have to, as long as i can create something out of the confusion" he says, still piercing her his gaze.
"Isn't that what everyone tries to do, in their own ways?" Kylie said, "Trying to create their own peace of of confusion, even if they do it in a twisted, evil way. To them, that's the only way they see. Like Voldemort," she smiled a little at the children's book reference, "He just wanted a better way of life."
"Ah a bad boy sympathiser are we princess" teases Xander lightly, for the first time in ages Xander feels completely at peace with himself. Which is quite a feat as he usually has to be alone or doing his art for that to happen. "That could end dangerously".
"Not just a bad boy sympathizer," Kylie rolled her eyes, "A people sympathizer. But," she grinned teasingly, "Deep down inside aren't we just a little bad?"
Xander leans closer to Kylie and pushes a lock of her hair behind her ear gently, the back of his hand brushig her cheek, "Some of us more than others Princess. Some people are just born to be bad, and i wouldn't want it any other way".
Xander smirks at that, but not unkindly, just knowingly, "Nothing wrong with accepting who and what you are princess. It's like me not bein able to see you as anything but the type of girl i'd never have as mine. Just like i'm the kind of boy your parents always warned you about" he says, watching her eyes closely.
Kylie snorted at that, a dark look coming to her face. "Yeah, if they talked to me at all," she muttered, glancing away.
Xander tilts his head to the side, he takes Kylies chin in his hand and forces her to look back at him, his blue eyes searching hers "Parents are shit, it's a fact of life. Doesn't mean you have to be" he says gently.
"Not all parents are," Kylie said, jumping quickly to the defense of all parents in general, as was her way. She didn't like blaming people for anything really. And then she smirked slightly, "Did you just tell me not to be a shit?" she asked.
"Yes" he says simply "And you're wrong all parents are shit, it's mandated by the general rules of the human race. We are a bit shit, therefore parents will be a bit shit. Defending the shitness of parents is like defending a lion for attacking a zebra, it's just the way things are, it doesn't need or want defending" he says truthfully. "But you are not shit princess, you wouldn't be here if i ever thought for a moment that you were" he says, his gaze still latched onto hers fiercly, he strokes a thumb over her jaw and then moves his hand away.
"Don't stop," Kylie suddenly said as he moved his hand away, her words surprising her, but she didn't want to take them back.
Xander doesn't look away from her, his eyes brigten like a blue flame at her words. Xander reaches up to cup her face in his strong hands, "Princess..." he murmers "Thats very much the problem. I don't want to stop, and if i started then i never would".
Xander groans quietly in the back of his throat, he smoothes her cheeks with his thumbs, he brings his face closer to hers so they are only inches apart, "Now, maybe not. If i want you now, and you let me have you now, just now....then things might be alright" Xander knows thats a load of bullshit. Wanting a girl like Kylie is always something he faught against.
((Crap. I gtg))"Go on," Kylie said, reaching up one hand to cover one of his, her voice soft, "I'm not some porcelain doll you can't touch."
Xander shivers slightly and not from the cold, he smirks against her lips, "No, you're the incredibly beautiful princess in the tallest tower of the tallest castle and i'm not the handsome prince who came to rescue you. I'm more the thief who fell in by accident." Xander pauses for a long moment, thinking of how screwed he'll be if he does this. Eventually he comes to the only conclusion that makes sense but instead of going with that conclusion he says "Fuck it" and slams his lips down over hers, hard and purposeful, like it is the most important thing he has ever done, or will ever do in his entire life. Maybe it is.
Theif or not, he was still a prince to Kylie, no matter what he said. The way he had hesitated at her wish, that proved to her that despite his looks, he had the heart of a prince. So when he pressed his mouth against hers, she returned his kiss with a part of her soul interwoven into, her hand that was already on his face sliding up into his hair, holding him against her.
Xander moves to pull Kylie roughly close to him, one hand on her back, holding her firmly against him, the other hand on her waist sliding up and down. Xander kisses her with everthing he has within him, his tongue intertwines with hers and he bites lightly on her bottom lip. Kylie is not the sort of girl Xander could ever call his. In the real world things just don't work that way, and he knows he will curse himself for giving into this feeling but right now e can't imagine anything better.
Kylie moved her other hand to cup his jaw as he pulled her against him, his hand a firm fixture on her back, the heat of his palm burning through her shirt like he was touching her bare skin and a little sound of pleasure escaping her as he bit down on her lip. She didn't want this feeling running through her veins to ever leave; just stay here in this cave with him forever like this. She'd been kissed before...but never like this, this raw emotion.
Xander pull Kylie so that he is sitting and she is practically in his lap, most of her body covering his. Xander groans quietly at the feel of her against him. He kisses her deeper, not wanting to come out of it even to breath. Xander moves to cup the back of her neck so he can kiss her a bit more harshly, part of him knows he is being too rough. Princess isn't used to it, he can feel she isn't, so radiculously innocent just like he expected. Part of him knows he should feel guilty for taking that away from her, but Xander was never the selfless one, the good one. A bd boy doesn't become bad by accident.
Kylie didn't care when he moved her to sit in his lap, tucking her feet up against her as she moved both her hands and laced them behind his head, but then when he started kissing her harder, like he wanted something more, she began to draw back slowly, not wanting to completely end it, but to draw a line that she didn't want to cross just yet.
Xander can feel it hit him then, the gravity of this decision, he could kiss this girl, all his life and never want to do anything else. But she isn't a girl, Kylie is a princess. Would always be. Not his, never someone for him, never the would he be the prince she deserved. Xander kisses her for a long moment befre pulling back abruptly, he stands picking her up with him. Xander, once standing and holding her puts Kylie down, back onto the rock. Xander walks back and all but recoils from her touch. Xander turns away from her, the horror too late to hide.
