If you want to post your book in the Dystopian Books section that's fine, but do not add anything about how awesome a writer you are or why everyone should read it. If you wish to talk about that please place it Advertise Yourself.

Instead when adding a book to Dystopian Books just add the books title, if it's in a series (and if so what number), and the author name.

Hey Caitlin. I just joined Goodreads yesterday afternoon. I'm still learning my way around here. How do I get to the "Advertise Yourself" section?(Thanks!)

It you go to the main page of the group and click on the folder name "Advertise Yourself" it will take you there and at the top to the right there is a button that says new topic, click on it and it will let you post a topic that will go into that folder.

Another newbie here - thanks for the guidance!

Based on advice from a Goodreads Author email, I added my book to the group bookshelf and filled out the "why" because, well, I tend to be a rule follower and it seemed to want that. If I did wrong, let me know and I'll fix it.
