This book is a must read classic!

I have a hard cover of this one. So many books were based on this one and the Will Smith film doesn't do it justice. However, the Vincent Price film of the book was great. I thought the whole hybrid story line was very unique.

I liked the movie "The Omega Man", it truly bore no resemblance to this book although it was supose to be based on it.

I've only watched the Will Smith one,i wasn't too impressed.I also liked the hybrid story line,very clever and original and Imo,the books ending must go down as one of the best ever.Loved it.

I haven't seen the omega man but I have the other 2 mentioned. I prefer the Vincent price one.

I've seen all three and if you don't just Omega Man and the Will Smith version as adaptations, they are all good. Only the Vincent Price is true to Richard Matheson's book, though.

Yes, it's strange, isn't it? The Omega Man is a good movie, and definitely the best of the covers, and yet it bears little resemblance to the book.

I remember watching the film and someone ruined the ending for me
