Dark Lycan discussion

so if Fenris is Dimitri's brother, why is this book called Dark Lycan, since they are/were full blooded Carpathians.

I was wondering that I thought from the title that she was a lifemate to a lycan which i wasnt sure about either because he wont no the ritual but just thought they must have their own mating.. how do you know that he is dimitris brother? i dont remember readin that dimitri had a brother

Fen is Dimitri's brother. The books never really talked too much about Dimitri in the past.

The book is called Dark Lycan becouse Fenris is half lycan (view spoiler)[(he shared blood with a lycan so he became carpathian/lycan, and the lycan became lycan/carpathian too).The lycan was killed by other lycans when they found out what he became,Fenris pretends to be lycan to protect other Carpathians... Fenris started out Carpathian but after ingesting enough lycan blood, he became lycan as well. Dimitri is his half brother and he is also Skylar's mate. Finally, after ten years, we get Skylar and Dimitri's story in January!

Mrs Feehan has spoken of the Lycans before because one of the Cruz brothers is married to one. I think it was Manilito. I remember her because she is the only Brown skinned person in the series. Anyway they went into hiding long ago and I recall she did not know she was a lycan.
Fenris develops the gene from ingesting lycan blood from a lycan he use to fight with. They were hunting comrades.

Dimitri has been mentioned prior in Dark Demon when he found out Skyler was his mate and again in the Christmas book. He also is becoming a lycan from ingesting Fenris blood.

Anyway CF is doing a trilogy on the lycans now to tell their story. I hope this helps a little.

Her name was Mary Ann, I believe she was a social worker. CF did tell us in several sections that these two were brothers. Remember these women all have some psychic ability and continue to come from different backgrounds. Leopards, Lycans, Dragons, OH MY!

The mix of lycan (or any other shapeshifter) blood with Carpathian blood is a huge issue in this trio of books. Dark Lycan (Fenris), Dark Wolf (Dimitri), and the third is about the elite lycan fighter who has ingested so much Carpathian blood that he has become one of them, Dark Blood. The issue of the blood mix causing them to be nearly unstoppable fighters means that if they have no mate and go vampire, they're the equivalent of a nuclear weapon (per the prince) The lycan council believes all "mixed bloods" should be killed on sight while the Carpathians believe them to be "superprotectors" and it's an issue that has the two communities bordering on civil war, when they have previously been allies.
Mary Ann is still a lycan and a turned Carpathian mate and there is no way Manolito de la Cruz (or Zacharias) would allow any harm to come to her. There aren't even any lycan communities in S. America because they're all afraid of those guys. : )

I assumed that the Lycan part of Dark Lycan was because Fenris, while originally Carpathian, has lived a large portion of his life as a lycan. He's hidden his duel nature so the lycans don't find out he's mixed blood.
