"I wanna go!" Grace yelled, even going so far as to stamp her feet. Daniel shook his head, "c'mon Gracie. You're too young and girls aren't supposed to go anyway. Just stay home." Grace glared at him, "I'm 14! You can't keep telling me what to do!"Daniel rolled his eyes, "Gracie we're going hunting, not shopping. It's too dangerous for you to go." She made a hmph noise and crossed her arms, "fine." She said with narrow eyes. "But I'm pouring glitter in your shampoo bottle. You'll walk around looking like Edward Cullen for weeks."
"So, this is where I live." Daniel said nervously, suddenly wondering if it had been such a good idea to bring a girl he had just met to his house. Especially considering how they had met. But she needed clothes and he didn't trust the others not to just dump her on the side of the road somewhere. She nodded and gripped her elbows, he noticed she did that a lot when she was uncomfortable.Saff slipped out of the truck when it came to a stop and tried to avoid sharp rocks which would make her feet bleed. She squeaked again when Daniel picked her up and deposited her on the door step. "You can just walk in, my little sister will probably be in her room so she shouldn't bother you. I've got to move some of the gear into the garage." He said after opening the door for her. She nodded and walked in, looking around with wide eyes.
Daniel watched her walk in and hoped Grace wouldn't bother her. Saff obviously didn't feel comfortable around other people and Grace could take some getting used to. He sighed and went to the truck and grabbed his gear from under the tarp in the bed.
Saff looked around the house and sat on a stool in the kitchen, tugging the jacket down so that it covered her butt. She looked around, wondering what she was doing. She was far from the pride, any other draki's, and staying in the house of a hunter. Her draki self was already feeling weak and she missed her sapphire.A gasp made her jump and Saff's head whipped around. She saw a girl who was only a few years younger than she was. "Who the hell are you?" The girl demanded, putting her hands on her hips. Saff opened her mouth to answer but the girl cut her off, "what are you wearing?! Put some pants on!" Saff shrugged and said softly, "in order? I'm Saff, your brother's jacket, and don't have any."
The girl grabbed Saff's arm, "come on!" The girl said and started pulling her towards a hallway. She pulled Saff into a room and appraised her. "You look like you're about my size." She said, "though a little too big in the chest department if you ask me." Saff blinked and looked at her boobs with a frown.
"I'm Grace by the way." The girl said and Saff nodded, "I figured." She said quietly. Grace raised a brow then started digging around in her closet. She pulled out an outfit and thrust it at Saff. "Here put this on." Saff nodded, unzipped the jacket and started dressing.
Grace left the room and walked into the kitchen just as Daniel walked in the front door. He looked around before frowning, "where's Saff?" Grace sat on the couch and kicked up her feet, "oh she's changing."
Saff walked into the room, tugging her skirt down. "Um Grace? Isn't this a little skimpy?" She asked quietly. She was wearing a denim skirt which was shorter than the jacket had been, a tight tank top, and a bra which was a cup size too small. Saff looked up and saw Daniel staring at her, his mouth hanging open. His head snapped to Grace, "why they hell do you even own those?!" Grace shrugged, "what? It's not like I bought them for myself. Some of the girls gave them to me as birthday presents. Besides I think they look hot on her. Don't you think she looks hot?" He stammered and Saff looked away, feeling her face warm.
(Sorry it's kind of a long post ^_^)
Kambern leads Glenda, Thundra, and Caleb to a house with yellow walls and a blue ruff."where are we?" Glenda asked.
Kambern looked over at his sister and smiled, "home."
Glenda explored the inside of the house, "this place is amazing!" she twirled in circles.Caleb smiled softly at her, and Kambern shot him an angry glare.
Thundra ran around the living room and made race car noises then bumped into Kambern, "ops!"
Kambern smiled, "pet stop! then eat," he said heading over to the kitchen.
Caleb felt very out of place here, he knew Kambern didn't like him much, and he wasn't sure why he was still here.Caleb glanced over to Glenda and slightly blushed when she saw him looking at him and smiled.
Glenda walked over to Caleb, "you don't have to stay.. I know you probably feel uncomfortable."
Caleb shook his head, "It's fine, I should probably wait until you and your brother head back," he paused, "just to make sure you make it back in time."
Glenda nodded, she didn't have the heart to tell him that she might not be going back.
Kambern Came out of the kitchen an set the table, "food," he announced as he sat down.Caleb, Glenda and Thundra all sat at the table with Kambern and ate.
Thundra yawned, it was getting late and he had a rather long day, "I think you should get some sleep after we eat," Glenda told Thundra.
He nodded, to tired to respond.
"I think I'm going to go out for a walk after dinner," Glenda informed Caleb and Kambern.
Kambern nodded, "just don't be out all night," he ordered.
Caleb didn't know what to say, so he sat in silence.
After dinner Glenda put Thundra to bed then headed out.
Daniel pulled up to his house with Saff asleep on his shoulder. He tried to wake her but to no avail. He opened his door and pulled her out, gathering the sleeping girl into his arms. She was breathing gently and murmuring so softly he couldn't make out her words.Saff felt safe and warm and.... Cared for. She hadn't felt that way in such a long time and it felt so nice. She sighed in her sleep and clutched at the thing surrounding her and making her feel so good.
Daniel startled a little when she grabbed his shirt and clutched at his chest. He kicked the door of his truck closed and walked with her into his house. He somehow managed to open the door and kick it closed as well without hitting Saff's head or feet. She was so small though that it was easy. He carried her into the guest bedroom and lay her down on the bed, wavering for a moment before kissing her forehead and tucking her in.
The next morning Saff woke up in a bed she didn't remember falling asleep in. She sat up and pushed the covers off then swung her legs out of bed. She looked around then stood. She crept out of the bedroom and looked up and down the hallway, wondering if anyone else was awake. Just as she stepped out of the bedroom and shut the door another door opened and Daniel walked out. In only a towel. She stiffened and squeaked in surprise, her eyes traveling down involuntarily. She blushed and backed into the door, banging her head.Daniel had been taking a shower early because he knew Gracie would be wanting one before school too. He hadn't expected anyone to be up so early so he hadn't bothered to bring his clothes into the bathroom with him. Which explained why he only had a towel wrapped around his hips loosely. When Saff walked out and squeaked his mouth dropped open to explain himself but he shut it with a snap when her eyes wandered. He felt blood rush to his face especially when she stumbled back into the door. "Uh, sorry I didn't know you would be up." He stammered, her eyes were glued to the V his stomach and hips created.
Saff shook her head silently and tore her eyes away from his hips then ducked around him into the kitchen, her eyes glued to the floor. Her face was burning and with her pale skin she knew she looked blotchy. She went to the sink and splashed her face with some cold water. The image of his hips kept flashing in her mind and she started blushing all over again. She tried to calm down as she sat in the kitchen, wondering if they would be okay with her searing for something to eat.
Daniel stared after Saff as she fled then turned and hurried into his room. He quickly dressed and ran a hand through his messy hair but only succeeded in making it stand up all over the place. He walked out into the kitchen and started making breakfast without a word to Saff. He couldn't quite look her in the eye after their encounter and wasn't sure what to say in any case. He set a plate of eggs and a small stack of pancakes in front of her before making a plate for himself and Grace who would be up any minute. He stabbed his food and popped it in his mouth, looking over Saff's shoulder.
Saff blushed when Daniel came into the kitchen but he wasn't looking at her so he didn't notice which was good. When he put a plate of food in front of her she blinked in surprise. She hadn't had anyone feed her breakfast since her guardian had died. She wasn't sure what to make of the gesture. "T-thanks." She said softly, ducking her head and stuffing her face full of egg.
Daniel nodded and swallowed his food. "It's no problem, I do this all the time for my sister. She's a terrible cook." He joked. When she just murmured 'hmmm' he swallowed again for an entirely different reason. "Ah, look about earlier... I didn't know you were going to wake up so early." He said, trying to explain himself though he hadn't done anything wrong. She blushed. "Um no, it's your house you can do what you want. I shouldn't have overreacted." She murmured then started eating her breakfast again.
Once Saff finished her food she took her plate to the sink and started rinsing it. Daniel caught her wrist gently, "you don't have to do that." He said. Her eyes traveled up his arm to his face and she was sure she looked similar to a deer in the headlights. His eyes widened slightly though she wasn't sure why. Usually she would look away but his green eyes captivated her and she couldn't bring herself to. He leaned closer, his face coming closer and closer but she didn't move.
Daniel didn't know what he was doing, well he did. He was going to kiss Saff, he just wasn't sure why. He hadn't known her for very long and the first time they had met she had been... well, indecent. But she was sweet and seemed unused to kindness which made him want to pummel anyone who had ever been unkind to her. All he could think about at the moment though was that her lips looked so soft and she was an amazing girl. He gently brushed a lock of her hair out of her face and smiled slightly when she inhaled sharply. He moved closer and brushed his lips against hers. When she hesitantly kissed him back he became more bold and stroked her cheekbone.
Saff had never kissed anyone before but somehow her body knew what to do. Her arms slipped around his neck and he made an approving noise in the back of his throat. His arms moved around her slim waist and lifted her off her feet. Her heart was beating rapidly and her draki was threatening to surface but she pushed it off. She knew she needed to pull away soon though or risk exposing herself. When they broke apart, flushed and bright eyed she smiled at him shyly. He grinned back at her, "I've been wanting to do that for a while." He admitted. "Really?" She asked, looking up at him through her lashes. He nodded and her smile widened just the tiniest bit.
Kambern and Caleb ended up staying up all night waiting for Glenda to come home. But she didn't."maybe she left..." Caleb muttered.
"she didn't!" Kambern bit out at him, still feeling her threw there bond, "she's still here."
Caleb looked at him with disgust, "you know she can never bond with anyone else now, right?"
Kambern looked over at him, unamused, "It wasn't my idea, our parents planed it when we were younger."
Caleb rolled his eyes, "I know, you've told me five times already." He sat there for a moment longer, then got up and headed towards the door.
Kambern watched him open the door, "she'll hate you if you go looking for her."
Caleb paused for a moment, "then I'm getting food," he looked back at Kambern and left, slamming the door behind him.
Daniel decided to skip school that day so he could keep Saff company though he still dropped Grace off. They decided to go to the mall.

Kambern sat impatiently in the living room waiting for Caleb and Glenda to both return. He had felt anger and panic from his sister not long ago, but she seamed to handle it.
Caleb walked into the house and saw Kambern sitting on the couch. He set the food on the table and looked at Kambern, "she's not back yet?" He asked noticing the draki's frustration and anger.Kambern shook his head, "I don't know if she's going to at all.."
Before Caleb could say anything, Thundra ran down the stairs and dug into the food. He looked at his older brother then Caleb, "where's Glenda?" He asked feeling slightly out of place without her.
"She's gone," Caleb muttered.Kambern shot him a glare, "she's still deciding!" he yelled.
Thundra looked at the two boys, tears filling his eyes, "she left me?" he thought of all the years it was just the two of them, Glenda was the only family he really knew. He only wanted to find Kambern because he new about there bond. "she left me.. alone..?" he asked looking at Caleb.
"you still have me," Kambern smiled softly.
Thundra glared at him with his young eyes, "I hardly know you! As far as I'm concerned, you're not my brother!" tears fell down his face.
Kambern flinched at the water draki's words, "and you think I want anything to do with you? you're just a twerp that Glenda could get ride of! She only loved you because you look like dad and I!" he yelled, his voice booming threw the house.
Caleb stood back and watched as the young water draki stood his ground against the Onyx Draki.
Thundra new they looked alike, and he knew that Kambern could rip him apart within seconds, "and what about you!? you lest her right after bonding! you weren't even there when our parents died! and don't tell me you couldn't feel her pain, because she could feel you no problem!" his voice was high pitched, but had a slight hit of terrier in it.
Kambern watched his brother cry.
Thundra wouldn't stand for his brother's silence, "why aren't you after her now? hu? we came all this way to find you!"
Kambern shook his head, "she needs a place to come back to," he tried explaining, "for when she realizes she has left the only ones who will ever love her for who she is, not what she is," his voice was harsh.
Thundra shook his head with disgust, then ran upstairs.
Kambern lounged on the couch his arms crossed over his chest.Caleb came over and sat on the brown lazy boy, "what's she feeling now?" he asked quietly so Thundra wouldn't hear him, "is she still in the town?"
Kambern looked over at him, his eyes glowing slightly, "she's happy... this is the happiest I've ever felt her," his voice sounded bitter.
"Isn't that a good thing?" Caleb asked, slightly confused by Kambern's attitude.
Kambern shook his head, "you don't get it, if he hurts her, she'll explode and do something she'll regret," his eyes softened.
Caleb raised an eyebrow, "how do you know this?"
Kambern looked at him, "before she manifested she liked a boy we went to school with in our pride.. he didn't feel the same way and she managed to put him in the hospital. We don't know how she did it.. But three days latter she manifested.."
Caleb examined Kambern's face, not believing him, "she doesn't seam like that kind of person to me."
Kambern rolled his eyes, "believe what you want," he got up off the couch and went upstairs to his room to be alone.
((P.S. Kambern put him in the hospital to avenge his sister's broken heart))
Thundra sat on his bed crying, "Glenda," he sobbed, "where are you?"Kembern drifted in and out of sleep. Anger rushed over him every time he awoke.
Caleb got bored of sitting around and resided to go back to the restaurant to eat something.
Kambern felt Glenda slip out of his reach. He knew she had ether gone very far away or was in a very hidden pride. He could still feel her emotions, but faintly. He felt her joy, worry, and a pinch of regret. He suspected the regret was for leaving without saying goodbye.
He could hear Thundra sneaking down the hall, but said nothing. Kambern just rolled over in his bed and drifted back to sleep.
Thundra tip towed down the hall past Kambern's room, he missed Glenda and couldn't sleep without hearing one of her storied or a soft song. He wasn't sure how he was going to find her, but he had to try.
He had gathered all his things and headed for the outside world, alone. He had noticed that he didn't have his gem, which meant it was still with Glenda. He hoped that part of him would call out to his draki and lead him to her.
Thundra felt his gem calling out to him, he quickly ran out the door and fallowed it.Kambern felt a strong feeling of attraction coming from his sister, jealousy fell over him. He knew she could never be happy, even if she found a mate, because of there bond, but just the thought of his sister liking another made his blood boil.
Later Saff slept fitfully, going through withdrawls. Her body missed the sapphire she usually had and her draki wasn't happy about being locked inside her human body. She tossed and turned, sweating and panting as she struggled to keep a lid on herself. She woke up with a gasp and started glowing. She was breathing heavily but it felt as though the oxygen wasn't reaching her lungs. She scampered off the bed and stumbled outside, still glowing. She could feel her skin tightening and shuddered. She sprinted into nearby bushes as she manifested, shucking her clothes hurriedly. Even so her tank top was shredded as her wings formed. She lay on the ground in the bushes, panting. She called mist immediately, knowing she couldn't afford for anyone to happen upon her like this. Especially not the hunters. Especially not Daniel.
When there was sufficient mist cover she crept out from behind the bushes and shook out her wings which were on pins and needles. She didn't know what had happened. Was it because she hadn't manifested? In that case though her draki should have been getting weaker.... Not that she wanted that. She was so confused and she missed her gem. Once the blood was flowing she leapt into the sky and started flying in a random direction. All she knew was that it was away from her pride. And away from Daniel.
((Sunny and Moke' s house
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_4qGUpcHDq1g...
http://www.from-kochi.jp/about_japan/... ))They had to a ways to get to her and Moke's house.
Sunny let go of their hand and pointed at the very Asian house saying, "That's it."
Moke then walked up to the door and unlocked it saying, "Take off your shoes."
Caleb nodded and took off his shoes, leaving them where Moke and Sunny had left theirs. He looked around the inside in amazement, "it's amazing," he said in awe as he took Sunny's hand again.
Sunny blushed when he took her hand.Moke noticed he took her hand in his and said a little angry, "Sunny you know you should make dinner." He then sat down at the table and drank his tea he had left there.
Sunny then said, "Right, um, Caleb you should hang out with Moke until dinner is finished." She gave him a smile and walked over to the kitchen and began to cook.
Moke just watched Caleb and said, "Sit down."
Caleb nodded at tried sitting as far from Moke as he could, but didn't take the head of the table since that would be rude. He sat in silence and tried not to make eye contact so Mokee wouldn't get more angry with him.
Moke watched him and asked serious, "So you really do like Sunny?" He wasn't trying to scare him more like he need to see if he's good enough for Sunny.
Moke then nodded and said quietly not wanting Sunny to hear, "Well, Caleb I don't think you will get my sister pregnant, but if you do before you to her get married. I won't forgive you and will find you for that and I will cut it off."
Caleb's eyes widened, "I-I wouldn't put your sister threw that," he stated shaking his head, "and if that did happen, I would support them both.." He continued, knowing it was true.
Moke then smiled, "Right answer, but still don't get her pregnant." He then sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. He then looked at Caleb with a small smile, "I trust you. You seem fine."
Caleb nodded and relaxed slightly, "thanks," he kept his voice low so Moke would feel he was being dominated.
Moke then asked, "So your a Draki right?" He watched Caleb and then added, "why do you like my sister?"
He nodded at the first question, "earth.." When Moke asked the second question he knew he would have to word it right, "she seams like a very lively person, she's helpful, and she makes me smile," he thought about when he was upset and how she made him feel better, "and she has an adorable laugh," he added with a small smile.
Moke nodded and said, "Okay well your welcome to stay the night except, not in a bed with my sister."
Caleb nodded, "thanks, and that's understood," he felt a bit awkward, was Mole obsessed with the thought of his sister being taken advantage of? I guess he's just being over protective bit broker' he assumed. He looked towards the kitchen and wondered when Summer would be back.
