Jacqueline Garlick | 1 comments So, the big buzz at the Bologna Book Fair this year is that editors are looking for good solid Contemp tales again...what does everyone think about this pendulum swing?

Amy (amyfellnerdominy) | 2 comments LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Curious to see if it will really come to pass.

Cynthia (cynthiattoney) When mining (blush) for new Goodreads friends through current friends, I look for those who read contemporary fiction. I still find more who read speculative/sci-fi/fantasy/dystopian combinations. Or strictly romance, which is contemporary, but wouldn't one tire of reading only romance? I'm open to friend requests from anyone in our group. :-)

I'll send you a friend request. I'm on the hunt for more contemp/realistic writers, too. I don't mind a good fantasy, but I can't take a steady diet of it. Romance kind of bores me, so I'm not much use to romance writers.

C.I. DeMann | 10 comments Have you read anything by Rainbow Rowell? I'm not sure if her books qualify as romance, since they don't have shirtless men on the cover, but they're still absolutely wonderful. "Eleanor and Park" is YA, and "Attachments" is general fiction, and I would HIGHLY recommend both.
