Rumor was on a run out on the trails that ran through out Immortal beach. Her waist length hair was pulled back into a ponytail and her shirt was sticking to her chest from sweating from the heat. She bet she looked super attractive right now (Sarcasm)Rumor ran to relieve the stress and anxiety she kept bottled up inside. She also ran so she wouldn't have the need to cut herself again. her inner thighs and wrists were marred with scars. Normally she kept them hidden with bracelets, but she hadn't worn any today.

Sebastian looked around the trails as he stepped out of his car. As a model he needed to keep himself in shape. The trail looked like something out of a story book, all that was missing was a beautiful yet dangerous witch. He laughed at his thoughts, and began warming up for his run. He planned to run 2 miles in at least, strange there weren't more people here. But that's why he chose Immortal Beach, to get away from fans and paparazzi. He needed a break from his crazy life.
Rumor was coming up on her third mile and started to push her body even harder. She took off sprinting, her music from her ipod pumping in her ears. She looked at the ground under her feet as she ran. She looked up just in time to see a guy coming her away. She quickly jumped out of the way so she wouldn't be trampled. Rumor was small, standing at barely five feet and only about 100 lbs.
Sebastian bobbed as the girl weaved and they barely missed each other. He stopped and turned around to make she was okay. She was much shorter than him, about a full foot. He looked down, "Are you okay?" He frowned when she didn't reply, until he noticed her headphones.
Rumor said, "Huh?" A little louder than she should of, she realized her headphone were in and she quickly yanked them out, cutting off the Alternative rock music she was listening to, "I'm sorry, What?"
Sebastian chuckled softly to himself, rubbing his ears as if she hurt his eardrums. He smiled nicely and repeated himself, "I asked if you were okay, we had a close call there, Speed-racer. Ah, an alternative rock fan? How do you feel about My Chemical Romance breaking up?"
Rumor blushed and mumbled an apology. A small smile covered her face when he started talking about Music, "I was never a big fan of them. I like imagine dragons or Awolnation more."
Sebastian was impressed he wasn't really a My Chemical Romance fan either, he didn't really care that they had broken up. Awolnation on the other hand he liked. "I really like their song Sail, it has a great beat. But I haven't heard anything from Imagine Dragons yet, I'll have to check them out." he gave her his famous flashy smile.
"Yeah both of those bands are great in concert." Rumor said as she tried to nonchalantly wipe some of the sweat off her forehead. She remembered she didn't have her bracelets on her wrist to cover her scars so she quickly put her hands behind her back. "I'm Rumor by the way." She introduced herself in her normal awkward state.
"I've never had the pleasure of going to a concert of theirs." Sebastian haven't been to any concert for that matter. He had to give up a lot for his career, sometimes he hated that. Sebastian fought a frown when he seen her scars. He had a friend who used to cut himself, luckly he stopped before it got really bad. He couldn't imagine a grief so intense it made someone do that. He felt bad for the girl, Rumor she said her name was, her grief must be terrible. "I'm Sebastian, it's nice to meet you Rumor." Sebastian was nervous to tell her his name. People usually treated him differently when they found out who he was.
Thw guy standing in front of her seemed really familiar, but she could place where she had seen him. She bit her bottom lip and tried to think of why he was so familiar, "So, what brings you to Immortal beach, Sebastian?"
"Well I just needed a break from my life...I figured Immortal Beach would be a good place to try. How about you, Rumor, what brings you to Immortal Beach?" Sebastian was pleased that she didn't seem to know who he was. That's all he wanted, to be normal for once even if it was just for a few months.
"I needed to get away from New York for a while, too many bad memories." Rumor rocked back on her heels, "So I guess for the same reason as you. Just needed a break."
"You're from New York? I've been there a few times, I'm actually moving there after I leave here..." Sebastian couldn't help the slight depressive tone that entered his voice.
"Yeah I'll have to go back eventually. I'm only here for the summer." Rumor told this complete stranger for reasons she didn't know.
"That's when I move there too...maybe we could road trip together." Sebastian mentally kicked himself. "Maybe we could road trip together? She probably thinks you're a serial killer or something now!" Sebastian partially was wondering if there was a cliff nearby...
Rumor snorted a laugh, "Yeah, I'm going to get in the car with a complete stranger for eight hours."
"Are you sure? That's too bad, I've got candy and everything." Sebastian winked at her, attempting to laugh off his blunder.
"Oh you've got candy? Why didn't you start with that!" Rumor joked. She had a bit of a candy problem and may need rehab for her addiction in the future.
Sebastian laughed at her sudden "change of heart", "Well I'm a little rusty on my kidnapping 101. But I promise to do better next time." Sebastian found himself hoping there was a next time.
"Yeah you could use some work." Rumor agreed
"Oh my ego thanks you, here I thought I was a pro...I guess not. Now all my hopes for the future are gone...what will I do now?" Sebastian chuckled as he touched his finger to his chin as if he was deep in thought over his future.
"Obviously you need a new day job." Rumor smirked up at him. She had to tilt her head way back to meet his eye. Even in Six inch heals, her head wouldn't even meet his shoulder.
"Ehh, my day job...if only that was an option. I'm actually taking a break from it..." Sebastian trailed off, he was trying to get away from his career. Not bring it up to the first person he's meet since he got to Immortal Beach.
"Oooh you have a secret career?" Rumor pursed her lips and thought for a second, "Are you a CIA agent? Part of the FBI? A celebrity? No no no! I Know what you are! You're a body guard for the president!" She said totally joking
The color in Sebastian's face drained when she said celebrity. He didn't know whether he should tell the truth or lie to her. Sebastian smiled slightly, "You caught me..."
"I'm really good at this guessing game." Rumor joked and rubbed her hands together, keeping her scars from his view for the most part. "So, I need to finish my run, I bet I can beat you to the Bonfire pit on the beach.' The current trail they were on lead to the fire pit.
"Hmm...I doubt it short-stuff, I've got a longer stride than you do. But if you want to try and beat me, I won't stop you." Sebastian cockily joked with her, and smiled brightly.
Rumor shrugged, She knew the odds weren't in her favor, but she had an advantage. She had gone exploring the day before and found a short-cut to the bonfire. "On the count of three?"
"Alright. What's the stakes?" Sebastian looked down at her. She seemed confident, he wondered why...not that it mattered he would still smoke her.
"The party tonight, the looser has to ask the winner." Rumor decided.
"Deal. I enjoy girls asking me out," Sebastian smiled at her, it wasn't exactly true though. Sebastian was old fashioned, he liked asking girls out, not that he asked very many out.
"Ok, one...two...Three!" Rumor started running down the path at a slower pace than she normally went, she wanted him to get in front so he wouldn't see her take another path to the bonfire.
Sebastian ran as fast as he could, he wasn't quite sure where he was going but it seemed like a straight shot. Rumor was trailing behind him, he smiled, he just had longer legs. He turned, but he couldn't see her anymore...she wasn't that slow was she?
Rumor cut through the secret trail and made it to the bonfire pit in a matter of two minutes. She curled her small frame into one of the chairs that sat around the pit and waited.
Sebastian turned around and checked the trail behind him to check on her. She was no where to be found! She didn't pass him, so what happened to her? He followed the trail to the bonfire pit, and she was just sitting there. Sebastian couldn't believe his eyes, how the hell did she get there?
"I believe you have something to ask me." Rumor gave him a bright smile and looked up at him from her spot in the chair.
"How did you get here?" Sebastian's face was full of disbelief, "But you're right I do have something to ask you. Would you go to some random party that I have no idea where it is with me?"
Rumor shook her head, "No I will not Sebastian Buchanan AKA world wide male model." Rumor gave him a pointed look.
Sebastian's jaw dropped...how did she find out? Did she know this whole time? "How did you find out?" he asked in a quiet voice, "And more more importantly, why won't you go with me?"
"Oh please, your pretty face is plastered on every magazine in New York. I thought you would tell me but when you didn't I decided I would have to take matters into my own hands." She smirked at him, "And I wont go with you because you didn't ever plan on telling me who you were."
"I didn't tell you because...because that's the reason I moved here. I wanted to get away from all that for a little while...I wanted to be normal. I'm sorry..." Sebastian didn't know what else to say, he just silently pleaded with her to forgive him.
"You'd thought I would call the press and give away where you were hiding? You know they are looking for you right? The gossip magazines and shows are trying to find where you disappeared too." Rumor said. She shifted in her chair a big and her shirt came up a bit. The hint of a tattoo showing. It was a memorial tattoo for her brother who had died in 9/11(view spoiler)
"Actually I didn't know that...I've been in hiding. No cell phone, no magazines, no TV, no contact with the outside world. And I don't think your the type of person to run to the press about my location. I didn't tell you because, normally when people find out who I am they treat me differently. I just wanted to be normal for a little while...wait did you say I had a pretty face? How kind..." Sebastian stopped joking with her when he seen her tattoo, he wondered if that was the grief she was going through.
Rumor noticed that he saw her tattoo and she stood up in her chair and pulled her work out shirt up, showing him the tattoo that sat on he upper ribs "It's for my brother and best friend Jackson. He died in 9/11." Her voice caught when she said his name. She normally avoided saying his name.
"I'm so sorry to hear that, your brother was a true hero. You two were pretty close huh? I'm sorry I shouldn't of asked that," Sebastian began pacing, running his hand through his hair. Him and his sister Emilia used to be really close, before she graduated early. She went to college at 16, Sebastian hadn't spoken to her since. It was like Emmy had fallen off the face of the Earth.
"No it's fine...and yeah we were." Rumor clenched her jaw together to keep back the tears that were threatening to pool in her eyes. It may of been over ten years ago, but Rumor thought about her brother everyday. He was the one that raised her when her parents were too busy at work. He read her bedtime stories and was the one that stayed home so she could have someone to come home to after school. He taught her how to ride a bike and helped her lose her first tooth. He as everything her dad should of been.
Sebastian walked over and sat beside her. He awkwardly put his arm around her, he felt she needed comfort. He just sat there, waiting for her to cry or not. Crying was good sometimes it let you feel better for a while afterwards. "I've never lost anyone before, so I can't say I know how you feel or what you're dealing with. All I can say is that, even though you don't actually know me very well, I'm here for you..." Sebastian said in a calm, comforting tone.
Rumor silently wiped a tear that fell down her cheek off, "Sorry, I don't normally break down like this.'
