Does an editor count as author in a book of short stories?
The second question I'm guessing is a no, but I'll ask anyway. Would Stephens count as a name because the word "Stephen" appears in it in exactly the way you had it? The only reason I asked is because all the derivations examples you had had the words altered so that the actual word didn't appear at all.
Thanks

No, I didn't.

Not for me.
It was hard to read because the writting is strange like ,"Dewey Dell said we will get some bananas. The train is behind the glass, red on the track. When it runs the track shines on and off. Pa said flour and sugar andcoffee costs so much. Because I am a country boy because boys in town. Bicycles. Why do flour and sugar and coffee cost so much when he is a country boy."
I got used to it but it killed all enjoyment.
I'll give Faulkner second try, I want to read his The Sound and the Fury

Janice, I got from the scoring criteria that you were trying to encourage folks to read Stephen King books for this challenge. ;) I only looked at books in my TBR list - other than Mr. King, and the lowest point book I could find is 3, which Anna already reported, and which I had considered. However, I was not looking for low points, only those I wanted to get off my list.

The title contains the word Dying

Tit..."
I've had this on my shelf for about a year...will read it one day - might be my April Toppler read :)

There is no rhyme or reason to how I assign points. I think, "Ummm... let's give points for this, or that. Nah, anyone can read a romance or mystery so let's give it one point...." I really don't try to lead people into reading one book or another. It just seems that way. Hehehehe!

King Solomon's Mines is on my tbr list. I've heard that it's good book

Reading this was tough even though I have a scientific background. I never did care for physics... It was nevertheless interesting and certainly made me reflect on the wonder of the universe and ponder on the why and how of our existence.
Here is what I calculated for points. Please correct me if this is wrong.

Is the title The Illustrated with a sub-title of A Brief History of....? Or is the title indeed that long phrase with no sub-title? I'm just checking, because sub-titles aren't allowed, and I want to be fair. I will let you decide.
