I'm not sure what my favorite movies are...probably these:The Patriot
The Count of Monte Cristo
Batman Begins/The Dark Knight
Sweet Home Alabama
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
Gaskell's North & South
Jakes' North & South trilogy
Beauty and the Beast/Aladdin/Lion King/Little Mermaid
Just watch "Cold Mountain" I really like that movie. I plan on reading the book.
My kids watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer-Movie. It is really stupid.
Friday night we watched, Australia. I know it received mixed reviews, but really loved it. Cried at the end! The young boy in it should have been nominated for an Oscar! Some of my favorite movies:
Wizard of Oz
The Music Man
The Shop Around the Corner
Double Indemnity
All About Eve
Now Voyager
Gone With the Wind
Wuthering Heights
Frankenstein
Wolfman
Young Frankenstein
Some Like it Hot
Rebecca
Arsenic and Old Lace
Okay, I'm getting carried away!!
You have a lot of fav's that are great!
I love movies! I am getting Elizabeth from Netflix tomorrow. Very excited.

I watched the Happening with Mark Walberg last night. Written and producted by M. Night Shyamalan.
****Spoilers below***
It was good. I like Shyamalan's movies but very graffic. I think that films are just becoming more graffic with violence and death. I would have rathered some it jsut be left to my imagination instead of watching. Likethe scene with the men jumping off the roof of the building. the man getting eaten by lions, the man getting ran over by the lawn more, just to name a few. They should have edited it a bit better.
I really liked the Village, Signs & Lady in the Water. I liked this one just too graffic with several of the scenes.
I need a happy movie to watch now.

I liked the Happening until the ending. To me it just kind of died. Loved the concept tho!Nicki

I'm going to Watch Elizabeth the miniseries w/Hellen Miran. Very excited.
We are watching Dodge Ball. This movie is just so funny & so stupid! I still like it.
I did get my new Netflix movies I should really go watch them or go read. What to do?
I watched "knocked up' last night. It sucked.
Watched the Locket. A beautiful movie. I love Vanessa Redgraves
Does your local post office have a special slot for returns for Netflix and Blockbluster? Ours used to say just Netflix, but I think the competition objected.
All time favourite film is The Shawshank Redemption. Its amazing! Other films I love are American History X, Lord of the Rings, and The Matrix.
The Shawshank Redemption, American History X, A Tale Of Two Sisters, Se7en, No Country for Old Men, Terminator 1&2, Battle Royale, Survival Style 5+ and Training Day are some of my all time favorites. I probably missed some but yeah :D
No our post office doesn't have a slot for Netflix. I can't believe how fast they are in getting new movies out. It usually takes two days from when I drop it in the slot to when I get the eamil the next movie was sent out.
I too like Shawshank Redemption. LOTR was fantastic.
It's that fast for us too, Emilee. I just hate it when my kids get into the Netflix account and start messing with the queue. They love moving all of theirs to the top, and they always order crap. As soon as I drop off movies I come back home and make sure the queue is the way I want it!I let Aaron have access to the account because he can order movies at school and play them on his XBox (or Ipod) but he has tried to arrange for a bunch of junk to be here for the weekends when he comes home.
Emilee and Beth, the turnaround time is the same for us. I wish the CD book subscriptions did half as well on theirs.
I loved the Shawshank Redemption and haven't see it in a number of years. This is one I'm going to put in my queue today.
Forest Gump is another great Movie!
I haven't let my children have access to Netflix. I know all the movies I want would be gone. It would be HomeAlone, Rent, Jonas Brothers crap thing that is out and nothing for Mom.
You are so brave Beth!!!!

I just have to check my account frequently. We're on the 3 at a time plan so I try to keep if fair for everyone. Last night we were subjected to Beverly Hills Chihuahua, thanks to Jacob. I don't want to have to watch that one again so I sealed it in the envelope. I've had to do that a lot with Jacob's movies. "Sorry, we can't watch it again because I've already sealed the return envelope." I'm such a mean mom sometimes!
Beth: your not a mean Mom. I do the same thing. Get the movie out when they are worthless!
I just watched Becoming Jane, hence the reason I bought Pride and Pejudice. I also just last night, watched, You Don't Mess with the Zohan. LOL it was funny, but too much of the crazy, impossible effects. Some funny lines though.
Kids I think jsut have that kid taste. Bad Movies.
Oh, I really liked Becoming Jane. I need to buy that one.
Emilee wrote: "Oh, I really liked Becoming Jane. I need to buy that one."I loved it, the whole time I was putting my hand over my heart and loudy saying, "Awwwwwwwwwwwww!" lol
I just watched the Water Dog! OMG the cutest movie and I just knew it was going to make me cry! I was bawling! Both happy and sad tears!
Emilee wrote: "Oh, I really liked Becoming Jane. I need to buy that one."aww i liked it too its such a lovely movie
Maybe they will with time. I know I was trying to find a few that I loved and couldn't.
I watched the Good Girl. last night. Wow! Twisted but good.

It is true if you rewatch a movie you loved as a child you wont remember it the same way I used to watch the polar bear king all the time but now it just seems kind of stupid to me, some of my favs areedward scissorhands
sleepy hollow
the princess bride
the sound of music
ben hur
cleopatra
gone with the wind
the first adams family
the nightmare before christmas
hello dolly
and oh so many more ....................
Enduring Love, I liked that one. Thought Rhys Ifans was very good in in. The cast all performed very naturally. I've heardc a lot about My Left Foot, I'll be watching that one very soon.
Shawshank Redemption, anyone?
