Not sure if this is the right place or comment, but...Just wanted to let you know that my novel Of Marriageable Age is coming out as an ebook in February or March 2014.
It is set in mostly in Guyana and India, with a little bit of England thrown in! Just in case anyone feels like visiting...
The old cover is no longer! Here is the new edition:

Thanks, Sharon!
Edgar Mittelholzer is an icon of Guyanese literature; so I'll add him and his books! He's perhaps best known for the Kaywana trilogy, Children of Kawwana, Kaywana Blood and Kaywana Stock.
which chronicles th history of British Guiana right from the time of the first Dutch settlers.
However, he gets more critical appraise for his other books, which are part of the canon of Caribbean literature :
A Morning at the Office
Corentyne Thunder
My Bones And My Flute
The Life and Death of Sylvia
and others.
Then there's this book about him, written by my cousin, Dr Juanita Cox:
In the Eye of the Storm: Edgar Mittelholzer 19092009: Critical Perspectives
You might be interested in Guises of Guyana - a poetry & photography travelogue published in mid 2013. One of the poems from the book - 'Mighty Kaieteur' - was featured in 'Explore Guyana 2014' - one of the country's official tourism publications, released at the World Travel Market Fair in London.
My new novel, The Small Fortune of Dorothea Quint, is now avaialble for pre-order on Amazon. It will be published January 16th 2015.
Set in Guyana and UK!
