Who is Clara Oswin Oswald
Check out the chairs in both "The Doctor's Daughter" and "Asylum of the Daleks"
Clara being given the phone number for the TARDIS would fit with the Rose's daughter theory- Rose worked in a shop when we first met her, and I think she did in the new World.
The other woman with a "Shop" connection would be Sally Sparrow.. I don't think she would have an actual connection with Clara but could have been the woman who gave her the #

I like the theory that it's Rose and Meta-crisis Ten's daughter, but I'm not too sure how that would work unless she is that plastic stuff that Amy was when the Doctor couldn't figure out if she was pregnant or not. That would explain her reappearances. In the short prequel to tBoSJ, I read that at the beginning the two kids that run by are Rose and Mickey. The kids are the appropriate age to be them, too. It, also, said Jackie Tyler was the lady that young Clara's mom was talking to before Clara came over to her.
Okay, first of all, Clara is not the doctors daughter. They KISSED in the Christmas Special! That would just be OVER THE TOP weird! She is NOT RIVER, that plot has gotten old. And I really don't think she is a future version of the Doctor. The name Clara Oswin Oswald, is an anagram for Window Across All. I also read somewhere that she is interdimensional. And Rose worked in a shop, so in TBOSJ when she says to the doctor, "The woman in the shop gave the number to me." Rose gave it to her, because if Clara can "hop" dimensions, then Rose can do that too.

This Clara's mother's name was Ellie. What about Victorian Clara's mum? We and the Doctor don't know if anything like that even ties her together. This version could be entirely different.
That idea is clever, and I am sure Steven Moffat probably thought of that, but I don't know if it really makes sense and flows with the story so far.
And we have already done a story involving a daughter of the companion, and Steven Moffat likes to keep the story fresh.
I don't have an entire theory yet, but could it be possible that Clara is a time lord (or something similar) in human form, as the Doctor with the watch in "Human Nature." She is completely human, with no memory of a former self, and complete memories of an entire human life (but never anyone who's known her for more than a year). It couldn't explain her dying twice, but it could explain why she doesn't seem to remember the doctor. Also interesting: Clara figured out how to fly the TARDIS; who else was able to fly it?
Clara theory The twelfth doctor( the woman in the shop ) gives real Clara the doctors phone number so he ( eleventh doctor ) meets her, after clever use of the tesalector in the snowman/ asylum two stir Him out of his post pond retirement with some intrigue. Because she has to insist on a flying lesson in j t t c o t t which means he turns off the shields the TARDIS explodes causing the crack in little Amy's wall and all that follows........
Mr Moffat as been quoted as saying Clara has met the Dr more than three times, and that the Finale, Show Will 'Change The Course Of Who Forever.' This possibly equals female
Doctor!
I think Clara ISN'T the Doctor's daughter. Maybe she is the Universe's way of saying "Here, take this and save the world." And then when he does the Universe takes her away. So basically she is the Universe's way of making the Doctor do anything it wants, because if he doesn't then it just kills Clara.
I saw a neat theory the other day that Clara is a reincarnation of Susan, the Doctor's granddaughter. I mean in tRoA, he does mention being there with her once before. Maybe that was a hint.
So? It's not a big deal. It's not like they did it. I have another theory, but it's not ready for public consumption, yet.
Hi I'm new to this group but my theory is maybe the same thing that happened to rose happened to Clara in the other dimension. Maybe Clara became trapped in the real world when rose became trapped in the other dimension. What I'm saying is what if Clara is another dimension rose.
Remember the episode the doctors daughter. Well maybe she got her memories erased at one point and Clara is Jenny. That is my other theory.
Wow! That's a good theory! Your very intelligent, I would have never thought of it! It makes sense...
Oh that's cool! I watched season 5 when I was about your age, and then when I was older I watched the others before that. I LOVE THEM ALL SO MUCH!
And guys I have a problem with some people's theory's. Well you say she could be rose and doctor Ten's daughter but if she was she wouldn't be able to regenerate because doctor Ten couldn't
The master unleashes the heart of the tardis and it is about to destroy earth and the doctor has to stop the doctor

Though now that I think about it, the Bad Wolf thing makes sense too...
