Maybe you have done it on accident or on purpose, but what are some ways to ruin that first date. Or get out of it.

It's been a while since I've dated but I would tell boys my parents won't let me talk on the phone to guys much less date. Wow, how times have changed!

I, uh...I never dated. By the time I actually went on a date with my husband, I don't think there's anything I could have done to dissuade him.

I have noticed that bringing up H.P. Lovecraft as a topic tends to confuse and drive away many people, though.

I pretty much dated my husband too, but I imagine texting all night or checking your phone is a big no no.

last guy I went on a date with was on his phone most of the time texting his brother... I ended up stealing his phone and telling his brother he was busy... his brother sent him a text saying he was an idiot for being on the phone in the company of a girl... and asking if I was his secret girlfriend... most awkward thing to happen on a first date
