A place to eat and hang out.

Daniel led Saff into the diner. She felt much more comfortable with her new attire; a pair of faded jeans, a dark blue v neck t-shirt, and a pair of comfortable flip flops. She still missed her pendant and hoped someone had picked it up with the intention of returning it to her. If she went back.

Daniel studied Saff as she sat sipping her milkshake. He wanted to ask if she was okay and why she had run into the equipment shed but decided not to. She had finally relaxed enough to set her elbows on the table as she ate. He picked up his burger and took a bite, still looking at her.

"Earlier with those girls... Are you sure you're okay?" Daniel asked. She avoided looking at him and shrugged. "I'm fine, it takes more than that to scare me." She said quietly. His brow drew down but he didn't say anything. To him it seemed that she must have been plenty scared to dive into a storage shed but he supposed she was just putting up a brave front.

Saff knew she was in dangerous territory. She couldn't let him know why she had really run into the shed but she didn't want him to think those girls had rattled her too much. They hadn't.

Once they finished their food in relative silence Saff excused herself to go to the bathroom. Once she came back out they went to the truck and drove back to Daniel's house. Her eyes started drooping and she struggled to stay awake but her Draki was weak, making it a lot harder than usual to stay awake. She yawned softly and leaned against Daniel, not bothering to fight it any more.

Daniel's breath spiked when Saff leaned against him, her head resting on his shoulder. He found it harder and harder to concentrate on the road with her pressed into his side. He swallowed and pushed his less than honorable thoughts from his head.
