Rebecca I wanted to post a few words about the poor people that got caught in the bombs that went off at the finish line of the Boston Marathon. As far as I know everyone that was hurt or killed was a spectator. I don't know how many might be tourists and worse yet I don't think they have anyone in custody yet. I live about 7 miles away from Boston and work about 10 miles away. It was a very somber day here but we "Bostonians" will forge ahead and not let these crazy people stop us from doing the things that we want to do everyday.
On a more positive note days like yesterday are why I love to read. When the bad news is bombarding you from every direction sometimes you just have to shut it down and pick up a good book!
I hope everyone is having a good day today!

Bajen Hello everybody!

What have you all been up to? How is your summer reading going and all. What have you read, how much did you enjoy it?

I recently finished Pride and Prejudice for the summer challenge and it was a great read:) I highly recommend it, it is a must read classic.

Katz Nancy from NJ (nancyk18) I am currently reading two books - The English Girl by Daniel Silva and Fin and lady by Cathleen Schine and listening to Sweet Salt Air by Barbara Delisnky. I am also going to pick up the much talked about The Son by Philipp Meyer which I reserved at the library and which came in yesterday.

I used to be a one book woman but in the last few years I got into audio books and with the kindle it's so easy to bring that along and then there's one of my loves, the library where I reserve way too much so I am a reading machine. But to tell the truth I don't think I really do justice to the books I read at the same time and maybe soon will cut this down to reading one and listening to one.

Bajen I tried reading one book at a time but no it does not work. I have to read at least two books at the same time. I cannot get into audio books yet, I have to read the word not just listen.

I have seen The Son around a lot and I like what I have read from the back so I will keep a look out on it. I am currently reading The Seeds of A Daisy and The Emerald Talisman. Both are very good and I am enjoying them.
