OH EM GEE I started reading it not realizing y'all were as well. Mind if I join in? Even though I'm reading it for the first time?
I certainly don't mind, but I didn't start the group...how far along are you?
Hmmm, a friend showed it to me and I the prologue captivated me. It was just so lyrical, and then I immediately loved the framing. So many stories within stories. And I was immediately charmed by Kvothe's troupe, when it got that far.
I AM IN A CONSTANT STATE OF WANTING TO REREAD THIS BOOK. I'm here specifically because I saw a post on tumblr :D I'll latch onto anyone who wants to talk about it.
Yes please join;) We welcome all discussion.
I wanted to re-read because I wanted to read the second one, and I realized that I didn't remember enough about the first one. So as part of my big book project 2013, I decided to re-tackle Rothfuss. I just think there's so much here to discuss that it invites a read-along.

I was listening to this podcast interview with George RR Martin. On obviously he's super hot right now and the hosts were gushing about him in their previous discussions about Fantasy, putting him on a very short list with Tolkien and Jordan (and a few others I think) two writers that I enjoy immensely. So, as the guys are crowning Martin as the current ground breaking king of fantasy, Martin comes on the show and said this new kid Rothfuss might be the next Tolkien. I'd never heard his name before but that was an endorsement not to be ignored.
Well i'm currently reading book 1 and i already read book 2 :-) my mistake... 8-) In Portugal the 2nd was was divided in 2 boos, so i though that was book 1 and book 2, instead of book 2 divided... It wasn't as bad as you may think because it gave me a more accurate perception of the story, and made me comprehend some stuff that otherwise i would not.
Though i read the 2nd book in a short amount of time, this one is taking longer because i'm very busy reading stuff for work... it's a pity because i'm enjoying it so mush. No i'm trying to read at least a chapter when i go to bed, but usually it is impossible.
Never the less so far i enjoyed the 2nd book more that these one, perhaps because i couldn't stop reading it and the gap between reads wasn't so long.
And i must admit so far i'm just so much in love with P. Rothfuss, for me he is in fact a genius, i'd eat his brain up! The books are so well written... are poetic and magic without any doubt.
