message 1: by Laura (new)

Laura | 500 comments We are now taking suggestions for our next group read. Again we are going to pick 2 books. One contemporary and one non-contemporary (eg. paranormal, dystopian etc.).

Your suggestions must be NA. If the book you suggest is not obviously NA please explain why it is or it may not be included in the vote.

The books must also be available in all countries at the start of April and not be a part of a series where previous books must be read first. Please only suggest a max of 1 book in each of the two catagories. If you suggest multiple book later suggestions may not be counted.

message 2: by Laura (new)

Laura | 500 comments For non-contemporary i suggest Destiny Gift by Juliana Haygert. It is a slightly futuristic paranormal romance/ urban fantasy/ dystopian novel.

message 3: by Beth (new)

Beth (abby2) | 12 comments I agree

message 4: by Brianna (new)

Brianna | 171 comments I agree. Well, if I can wait for May to read it. Lol.

message 5: by Magan (new)

Magan Vernon (maganvernon) Agreed on Destiny Gift and for Contemp I'm going to go with Bad Rep by A. Meredith Walters.

message 6: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer Thomas | 29 comments I'll vote for Destiny Gift as well for Para- looks interesting. For contemporary- Falling into You by Jasinda Wilder. I know some may say it is not NA, but Contemporary Romance, however; the main character is 18- 21 during the story, just not in college, and is definitely trying to figure out life as an adult.

I have heard lots of people refer to Falling Into You as NA so we should be able to include that one :)

What about Waiting For You by Shey Stahl

Waiting for You by Shey Stahl

I also think Falling For You is a good choice

message 9: by Elise (new)

Elise (redentrapy) I'd like to do One Week Girlfriend (Drew + Fable, #1) by Monica Murphy .

message 10: by Michelle (new)

Michelle For Contemporary- Falling Into You by Jasinda Wilder

message 11: by Dawn (new)

Dawn | 4 comments Destiny gift sounds really good.

message 12: by Amanda (mandy) (new)

Amanda (mandy) | 26 comments Contemporary:
One Week Girlfriend (Drew + Fable, #1) by Monica Murphy

Non-Contemporary:
Dark Seraphine (Seraphine Trilogy, #1) by KaSonndra Leigh

message 13: by Gabby (new)

Gabby (gabbybarocio) | 28 comments voting for contemporary Second Chance Boyfriend (Drew + Fable, #2) by Monica Murphy , but Falling Into You (Falling, #1) by Jasinda Wilder would definitely be an excellent choice, as well!!

for non-contemporary: Warm Bodies (Warm Bodies, #1) by Isaac Marion

message 14: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Claudy (ashleyclaudy) | 46 comments Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes

^ for contemporary. It sounds really different, takes the alpha male to all the negative crazy places you fear he could be.

message 15: by Mitsy (new)

Mitsy (mitsyc) | 35 comments For non contempary I suggest Being Human by Patricia Lynne . It is a New Adult/paranormal book about twin brothers. One becomes a vampire while the other stays human. It explores their relationship and how each are treated because of the other. It's wonderful as it also explores family, love, college situations, and what's it's like to human. :)

Okay, for NA, I'll go with
Falling Into You (Falling, #1) by Jasinda Wilder

message 16: by Marialee (new)

I won this book in a giveaway and I am sooo glad I did. I LOVED it. Plus, the second one comes out on April 9th. So just a couple more days! It is called

Two awesome suggestions. Thanks Lauren :)

message 19: by Rea (new)

Rea | 16 comments The space between by Kristie cook is a paranormal new adult book

message 20: by Brian (new)

Brian Palmer (briancpalmer) For non contemporary, I'm recommending Genesis (XII Saga, #1) by Jason Rowe . It is the first entry in a dystopian supernatural action saga. Set 100 years in the future, twelve supernaturally gifted individuals are recruited to stop a growing evil that is threatening to destroy New Earth. But doing the right thing will cause them to be branded as terrorists, named Public Enemy #1 by the most powerful man on the planet, and heroes by only a scant few.

XII: Genesis is the start of an epic adventure that features action, drama, suspense, superpowers, love, forbidden love and centers on the struggle between good and evil and having the courage it takes to do what no one else will.

message 21: by Laura (new)

Laura (lbrimer) For contemporary: A Different Blue by Amy Harmon (A Different Blue) by Amy Harmon

Lucía Contemporary: The Opportunist - Tarryn Fisher

message 25: by Heather (new)

Heather Williams (rucifey) | 11 comments For contemporary I also like One Week Girlfriend

This Girl (Slammed, #3) by Colleen Hoover
It comes out April 30 and I can't wait!!
