Fire Buddy Read - Starting 1st May
Unless you have huge amounts to do Karlee I'd say you've got plenty of time to finish it, everyone I know raced with it in no time :)
I'm hoping to join in also, but I have a lot of other things going on before the end of the month. Hopefully, I can read Graceling in time.

If I can get a copy of both this and Graceling then I will also join you. But I may be a little delayed as there are a few others before them on my TBR list!
You should! I really liked Graceling and I'm looking forward to this read. :) Can't wait to hear everyone's thoughts!
Joanne, it would be really great if you could join us, I always like reading your thoughts on the book :)

Thanks Lynn ,I am looking forward to our next book :Fire ,may 1-13 :)
I'm going to try, I have a book due back at the library next week that I haven't started yet! I may renew it as its a big one! I'll check at the library to see if I can get copies of the books. I know one branch has the audio book of Fire, but I find I'd rather read a book than listen to it, I tune out and miss bits!!
Cathie, I'm really happy you are going to read with us :), it's great to have you in a discussion :)
I might be a little late too, as I'm totally absorbed by the Delirium trilogy. Now I'm reading Pandemonium. If I'm able to stop myself from continuing it, I will start Fire right on 1st of May, but otherwise I join you two days later :)Joanne, I keep my fingers crossed for you performance during the race :)

Anima - You're a fast reader. I'm sure you'll have the whole book read before I'm half way through! No worries. Start when you're ready. :)

I just started (only on page 65) and my initial thoughts are that I like it, but not as much as I initially liked Graceling. I like Fire, but she seems very similar to Katsa. I not a huge fan of Archer... at least not yet, but he has potential. I really like Brocker as a father figure and I'm so curious...(view spoiler). I'm hoping to hear more about that back story later in the book. :)
Can't wait to read more, but I'm still missing Katsa & Po a bit. I'm sure that will go away as I read more and get to know these characters better.

Not started yet as I need to finish The Time Keeper and my life has gone a bit crazy currently. It will be the next book I start though.

I just finished the Time Keeper too. :) I needed to start this one because I'm hoping to have time to read Shadow of Night this month too, but I have a bunch of books that I'm already reading. That and I really just didn't want to wait. hehe
I haven't started yet either, I got so caught up in Delirium series, that now my schedule seems out of place. I hope to start reading it in two days, as I want to finish Narnia chronicles, part two. I read the Time Keeper last week, and after Fire I thought of starting Hunger Games series, but I'm afraid I will get sucked with it even more than with Delirium one LOL
I agree! Read The Hunger Games. It's a great series.
I still need to read the Delirium series, but I'm putting it off until I have more time. (I really do require a lot of time keeping! lol)

I started Fire, but have only read a few pages. I will have lots more time come the weekend :)
After all your encouragment, I scheduled The Hunger Games on the second half of May, than I should have some more time to get sucked in without too much worry about time LOL
I still have to read Graceling so probably won't get to Fire until a little later in the month. I meant to read Graceling in April but got sucked in by Game of Thrones! lol
Alycia, I do know what you mean, I was reading the whole series last year, and I got sucked in it for almost three months skipping all other reads LOL
lol Lynn! Yea, I guess you're right. Lots of rabbit trails... ;) Anima- I can see myself doing that this year. So much for any other planned books I had on my lists! lol
@ Anima: I second everyone. HG is a must read. I read all three books back to back. :D@ Kristie : Keep going with fire. You'll see you'll love all the characters as much as you loved the others. :)
So I have started now, just finished the prologue and about to start part one (page 15).
It didn't take me long to realise (view spoiler), which has immediately peaked my interest. I think I'll be racing through the book this weekend.

I agree with you Lynn, I'm in 5% now and already intrigued so I decided to spend today's evening to get to 50% at least, unless I'm sucked again :)
I agree Lynn. I thought that was pretty quick to figure out as well. Although, I expected there to be more about him in the beginning of the book because of the prologue and there wasn't. Maybe there'll be more later in the book? I've read to page 107 so far and I'm really enjoying it. I like Fire's character more and more.
LOL Vanessa, I took a chance on reading your spoiler and that doesn't give anything away :)
I'm 25% through, page 82 - At the moment I'm struggling to understand why (view spoiler)

I will post my thoughts of the book while reading (probably will try to put something after each chapter maybe?) and invite you all to do the same.
As we all read at different speeds, I would ask that if you're going to talk about a specific point / plot (rather than your general feelings on the book) then please use spoiler tags.
