We need to think about nominations for May-June book, does anyone fancy going for something from the women's prize for fiction?

Sounds like a nice idea. A couple of them are on my to-read list anyway.

Breige (breigeflynn) | 87 comments Sounds good to me. If it's in the library I'll give it a read! I know Gone Girl is on it's way to me already

Oops it's nearly May already! As there was overwhelming support for this idea ;D I shall do a poll this weekend when I have time to do it, if anyone else wants to do it earlier though please feel free to set a poll up

looking forward to seeing what the results are. I found it difficult to choose between so many great books:)

I was going to vote for Life After Life by Kate Atkinson Life after Life because Bring Up the Bodies (Thomas Cromwell, #2) by Hilary Mantel Bring up the Bodies is a sequel and I haven't read Wolf Hall. I ended up voting for May We Be Forgiven by A.M. Homes when it read an article where it was tipped to win.

So now we have a tie we could have a quick decider poll (which could get more participation) or Sarah and I could choose between the 2 top books:) Up to you Jo:)

I actually voted for NW, but I'm happy with either of the top two choices. I haven't read Wolf Hall yet either, although it's on my shelf, and I like Kate Atkinson. I'd be willing to read along with whatever's chosen :)

Ok, can you two (Sarah and Kirsty) pick either Wolf Hall or life after life. If its still a tie after that I will have to be decisive and vote myself :)

I choose Life after Life because I think reading Wolf Hall to get to read Bring Up the Bodies with the group is a bit of a mammoth task:)

I was thinking the same, given that I'm also reading A Games of Thrones at the moment lol I'm happy to go with Life after Life -- I'll try and pick a copy up after work tomorrow.

It was £19, so it's going to be amazon after all. I'll join in as soon as I can!

I've ordered it today, so I'll be starting as soon as it arrives :) Bit of a delay, I know, but I've been really busy. 'Nuff said, I've got around to it now!
