If anyone is going through something and is looking for someone to talk to or just for someone to be there, here's a good place to find it :)

E.B. Hood (melabeth) It so hard to escape the contast madness in our world, but all storms do pass. I shall keep you in my prayers, that not only does it pass but good will come from your frustrations.

✿.Ⓐⓟⓞⓞⓡⓥⓐ.✿ (apoorvak) Thanks. :) It's just that, see I'm a freshman in highschool taking extremely advanced classes and I'm a straight a student. But my parents are always bragging about my brother, who is great too, but they just ignore me when it comes to him. It's not his fault, but I get jealous at times. I do sports, drama, and EVERYTHING, but it's like none of that matters.

E.B. Hood (melabeth) My wife would feel your pain. She is a very smart women, she a reading specialist. Her older sister is a Doctor no less. When her mom talks you wouldn't guess she as two daughters; it breaks my heart when her mother does that. Where not young, in our thirties, and we still get jealous when are siblings get attention we do not. And to put icing on the cake I wrote a book; and I can't spell without the help of google. I have worked in factories for half my life, and pc for the other half. My book as been well received, so now when we go to the library functions, I become the center of attention. And of course my wife is happy for me, and loves the fact that I am writing, but still it is never easy to play second place to anyone; not even the ones we love.

✿.Ⓐⓟⓞⓞⓡⓥⓐ.✿ (apoorvak) That's... wow. I'm sorry about that. I have always wanted to be a writer, and I still hope to publish some of my work. However, my parents always told me I couldn't make a career of it. I am interested in law, and I know that's what I want to do, but they don't understand that writing is my passion. They don't respect that.

E.B. Hood (melabeth) You don’t need respect to follow a dream. You get respect my accomplishing what others believe you could not do. I work full time, I have a wife and three kids. My oldest left home and is in the U.S. Army. My youngest is five. I write when I can, I write at night, but I don’t let it get in the way of working. Chase your dream but not at the expense of your future. If you have talent and people like your writing, who knows, in a few years I could be asking you for your autograph.

Writing is a great career! It takes hard work, sure, but don't let anyone get you down and discourage you from fulfilling your passion in life!
