Ahhh I can't pick just one! I have several series on my favorites shelf. Different genres, and I like them for different reasons. If I have to pick just one, I am going to go with A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones on HBO) by George RR Martin. Love Harry Potter and Mercy Thompson as well, and both happen to be on my favorites shelf. :)
I adored Sookie Stackhouse for about the first seven books (in fact, I credit this series for initiating me into the Urban Fantasy genre), and then it started to go downhill for me. :(
I really need to read the rest of the Mercy Thompson series. Read book one a while ago, and just never picked it back up. Sookie Stackhouse was really good, for a while.
Kate Daniels would probably be my favorite urban fantasy series though, although I do love Nicole Peeler's Jane True series immensely.
My all time is the Other world Series By Kelley Armstrong,But high on my list are: The Alex Craft Series by Kalayna Price, Dresden Files By Jim Butcher, Mercy Thompson Series by Patricia Briggs, I think the Downside Ghost will be up there too once I read a little more of that
That is really, really hard!!!!!! I might have to go with the Horngate Witches, Diana Pharaoh Francis. I was sitting here trying to remember the serious I get most excited about when a new one comes out. LOL. I loved all of Richelle Meads series, Kim Harrision, Jennifer Estep oh my goodness There are way too many :)
Has to be the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning for me. Have yet to find any series that even comes close to these.
I also have to addSookie Stackhouse by Charlaine Harris
The Sevenwaters Saga by Juliet Marillier
The Bridei Chronicles by Juliet Marillier
The Codex Alera by Jim Butcher
The Iron Druid Chronicles by Kevin Hearne
Tales of Lunamorte by Samantha YoungSeasons of the Moon by S.M.Reine
Night World by L.J.Smith
Other World by Kelley Armstrong
Descent Series by S.M.Reine
Beautiful Creatures Series by Kami Garcia

The Night World Series isn't by Kelley Armstrong.... Isn't it by L.J Smith?
Jacki wrote: "Everyone is supposed to be choosing only 1 series... That's what makes this hard"Lol yes, otherwise, I could go on forever listing great series. :)

Night Huntress Series <-- 3rd
Charley Davidson Series <-- 4th, could move to 3rd)
Chicagoland Vampire Series <-- 5th (1st 6 were best)
Mortal Instruments Series
I haven't read that many UF series yet but my absolute favorite right now is Kate Daniels. I'm also enjoying Mercy Thompson and Chicagoland Vampires. I finished the Fever series but I cannot say that it is a favorite - Mac ruined it for me. My hand is still itching to slap her for her vacuous silliness.
I can't just chose one, I can narrow it down to a few though. The other world series by Kelley Armstrong has to be one of the best series I have ever read. I have read each book multiple times and it's a series I will always love.
Fablehaven is another series I absolutely adore. It's not Urban fantasy but it defiantly deserves a mention.
Kate Daniels series I just love, love, love this series and I nearly forgot to give it a mention! It's a great series and I just love Kate and Curran :)
Finally I'll give Vampire Academy series a mention, just finishing off the last book in the series!! I have just enjoyed reading each book and haven't had much time to put them down. Here's hoping the final book doesn't disappoint!!! :)
Of any book series, Harry potter. Adored it, would attend Howarts if I could (though I'd be a Ravenclaw all the way ;) ). Of all the urban fantasy books I've read, Mercy Thompson/Alpha Omega world books. Patricia Briggs is amazing. Actually, does Harry Potter count as urban fantasy?
Hands down J.R. Ward Black Dagger Brotherhood!!!
Close second is Kresley Cole Immortals After Dark.
Close second is Kresley Cole Immortals After Dark.
Favorite= KMM Fever Series just edges out Stacia Kane's Downside GhostsLeast Favorite= Anita Blake and the last 4 Skokie books
I can't do it. I thought I could with Fever, but... As much as I love the Fever series, I'd have to say my favorite is whatever series has the next book coming out that I'm waiting desperately for. I just can't narrow it more than that
Harry Potter! I can read the Harry Potter series over and over. Not only did I fall in love with a majority of the characters, I became obsessed with Hogwarts. Each time I read the books, I discover something new and insightful. Harry Potter Rocks!
Right now it probably is J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood, though Mercy Thompson is a close second.
I actually finished the vampire of Babylon books last night and even though these books haven't got the best reviews I found them really good! :D will teach me to ignore bad reviews cause sometimes I like the books with the bad reviews! :D
Danii wrote: "I actually finished the vampire of Babylon books last night and even though these books haven't got the best reviews I found them really good! :D will teach me to ignore bad reviews cause sometimes..."i hardly ever relay on reviews because sometime the reviewer has completely different tastes. Msot of the tiem actually.
Asking which is you favorite series is like asking a mother which child is her favorite! Blackdagger Brotherhood - J.R.Ward
Dark Hunter - Sherrilyn Kenyon
Fever - Karen Marie Moning
Mercy Thompson/Alpha & Omega - Patricia Briggs
Chicagoland Vampires - Chloe Neil
Vampires of America - D.B.Reynolds
The Kings - Heather Killough-Walden
I could go on.....lol
Can anyone suggest a really good, fun read? I've lost interest in all the books I have sitting at home and I need to change it up a little bit. Do you have a favorite 5 star book or series that you would recommend?

and
are fun reads, and I second Mark's recommendation of
. Don't let the cover scare you off. :P
My all-time favorite (exceeding even Harry Potter) is The Incarnations of Immortality by Piers Anthony, including the original five books dealing with Death, Time, Fate War and Nature, and the later three: Evil, God and Night. C.S. Lewis and Charles Williams invented the genre back in the 30s, but Anthony re-started it in 80s.Of course, I'm also partial to my own:
Terra Luna: The Return of the Fiorgaels
Also The Black Company series by Glen Cook
The Shadows of the Apt series by Adrian Tchaikovsky
A Song of Fire and Ice by George R.R. Martin
