How many of us are reading or have just read something that has been authored by some one local, or who is in our group, or has used Long Island as a setting? I’ve been hunting down stories from Long Island. I know of DeMille, P.G. Wodehouse, and Westermann to name a few.

I'm always more drawn to a book set on Long Island. I know James Patterson has written a couple of books set on Long Island. Beach House or Lake House or something is set in Amagansett.
If you can compile a list during your research, I would love to see it.

Oh, and how could I forget Bernadette Walsh! She is a member here and wrote Gold Coast Wives among others.

Here's two questions... 1) Are there any local (Suffolk Co.) editors/PROOFREADERS that you have used or know. Who are they?Doing editing electronically maybe wonderful for many, but it is a killer on my eyes.2) Has anyone out there use the STORYIST program to write with and use for formatting into the Kindle format?
