simply amazing. i'm going to read Cardinal Numbers.another alternative source is bibliopolis—there are less sellers on there but their prices may be lower than some of the ABE ones.
Here's my review of Odditorium.
Hob was one one hell of talented writer, and a funny guy as well. I went ahead and ordered Inner Tube and Cardinal Numbers: Stories based on the strength of this book. It was a fun read - though it is pretty straightforward, and doesn't really contain any of the experimentation that is present in most of the stuff touted in this group.
ETA: Here's an obituary that ran for Hob back in '88 that has some good information about him as well:

Excellent. I still haven't actually read the copy of Inner Tube I picked up back when I made that first post, but I'm glad that he's actually being read now! ANd I will read that copy next then!
Inner Tube is pretty fantastic afterall. Broun has a singular voice, and writes about telcom overload and the eternal emptiness of the desert (juxtaposed against L.A. naturally), unfolding over 53 fragmentary, out-of-order television channels, um, chapters rather. Total gem here afterall. You'll know from the moment the first chapter opens.

Gordon Lish-edited writer of "intense, eccentric fiction", two of three of which were composed via a breathing tube while paralyzed from the neck down.
I've just ordered a copy of Inner Tube, but there are many more where that came from on the used book sites.
