Skyra walked all the way here. She yearned to fly, but not till she was out of the academy's reach. She traced the wall with smooth fingertips as she descended a pile of rubble stairs. Her ears were alert and keen for any noise, waiting for the safe signal to shift.

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Suddenly, a column of flame erupted directly in front of Skyra, and as soon as the flames faded, a figure stood there, scowling. It was Askeli. "As I was saying, are you good with disguises?"

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra glared at Askeli. "I don't need one." She snapped.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Askeli raised her hands, backing away. "Well...you might."

Skyra Rider wasn't in a good mood, she had been about to fly, till she was rudely interrupted. But she couldn't blame the girl, she was curious. Sebastian had just put her in an off mood. Her pendent, which was sustaining an orange glow had died down to a soft blue.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Askeli grinned enormously. "Show me."

((Renee's house :) ))

Skyra's mind instantly had a wall around it. She didn't know the girl had mind reading abilities. "You won't breathe a word of what I am to anyone, you understand?" she seemed to growl. Skyra Rider couldn't let herself be on Sebastian's list.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Askeli frowned. "Sebastian? That jerk? No way! I just want to see..."

((She put a mind wall))

Skyra growled once more before turning on her heels, looking at the way back to the castle. This was going to take only a few moments. Besides, she needed to go and see her dorm after all.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

((It's just common sense.))

Askeli hurried to catch up to Skyra. "Whoa...hey! Wait! Where are you going?"

message 12: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra Rider was usually a nice person. Yeah.... usually. She had her little witchy moments and this was sort of one of them. She needed the space to plan, to think, to calm down. Her pendent started to glow a soft amber and in the next instant, she was gone.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Askeli scowled. Since when was that a power?

message 14: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

Skyra Rider, decked out in a golden dress, now torn thanks to her little run in the library, carried the dragon books to the Ruins. Her back seemed to ache, her hidden wings wanting to spring out and shift her into the golden dragon she was inside. To be free. Not yet, she shushed her dragon. Reluctantly, it complied. "Now," she muttered herself, placing the books in the center of the ruins. "Time for a quick surveillance check." She stepped down form the ruined dome and started to walk silently around the perimeter.

message 15: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments Nothing but an albino crocodile, unfocused as it shuffled around. It took a glance at Skyra, but animals have sharper eyes than humans. It kept moving, not wanting trouble from its powerful cousin. It did, however, look a bit confused at the books...

message 16: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
((Thanks :) ))

Skyra connected eyes with the croc, a flicker of amusement flashing through her eyes as she rounded the corner. Safe. Her dress, torn, shimmered in the moonlight as she took out the pendent, hers.

message 17: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments Creo, the angel disguised as an albino crocodile, blinked, looked toward the pendant, and blinked again as he looked away, pretending to be totally uninterested and doing very well at it. For three thousand years he'd been using this spying form, and it had failed him less than 20% of the time.

message 18: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra's hands unclipped the onyx flower at her neck, cupping it into her hands, replacing it with the pendent settling at her neck. She let out a long breath. Closing her eyes, she was about to shift. The pendent burned her, well, not burned but warned. "Make up your damn mind," she muttered, talking to it irritated. Instead, she lifted a hand, aiming it at the books. Closing her eyes, she called on the dragon inside her. Immediately, it started to stir.

message 19: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments Creo continued observing in a very, falsely uninterested manner, as though the crocodile saw this every day.
Then the magic started, Creo decided that most crocodiles would be panicked, and sped off into the water as fast as his stumpy little legs would carry him, still observing with one eye as he swam away quickly, but not so quickly that he wouldn't have a good view.

Fire, pure gold raging fire, shot from her palm, feeling new and hot. Nevertheless, Skyra didn't feel it at all, immune. The books disintegrated into ash, blending with the ruin's dark dirt.

message 21: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments Creo shot up onto the surface, human to allow for walking. Whoever this was, she was burning knowledge. Secret or psychopath?
He didn't wait for an explanation and knocked an arrow.

message 22: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra averted her eyes. It was in her to hate burning knowledge, especially about herself, but she had to for the good of her kind. Her eyes took in the soft glow bouncing off the ruin walls. They seemed to cast shadows of what would've been.

message 23: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments He aimed the arrow into the flames, muttered a spell, and fired into the blaze.
The arrow carried the fire with it and pulled the inferno from the books, leaving them somewhat readable.
Creo abandoned the bow and drew Destructionsbane, a powerful blade intent on killing the demon he'd once been.
Now they acted in harmony. He had fought millions of dragons, though only once a golden one, of leviathan breed. The scars had taken centuries to heal.

message 24: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra met his eyes, insight. Anger showed in them as she set them afire again. Not till every word was burned.

message 25: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments He pulled the blaze into his hand and absorbed the energy of the flames.
"Would you like to keep at this until you're out of power or talk?" Creo, ex-demon of flames, inquired.

message 26: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"Who are you?" Skyra hissed as she lit the fire again. She stored energy for a couple of days, she wasn't running out of it anytime soon. She eyed the blade, her position turning to a fighting stance.

message 27: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments He drew it in again, sort of enjoying this free source of energy. He was lead commander of the Angelic Armed Forces ever since the Illumination Wars, general-in-chief of the Interus Militia for The Almighty, and Ambassador to Demons. But he hated to pull rank, so he didn't.
"Creo, he answered simply.
"Why are you burning books?"
Secret or pyromaniac?

message 28: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"You have no business in knowing which." Skyra rolled her eyes. "You would think an Angelus would be able to hide their thoughts." She bowed mockingly in her gold dress though not low enough where he can catch her off guard by an attack. "So what do I owe the pleasure of a second one?" By second, she meant her encounter with Samuel.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Sam fluttered into the scene, his invisible wings retracting back to lay comfortable behind him.
"Creo." He stated, scanning him with uncomfortable blue eyes.
The angel was higher ranking than himself, so Samael would do his best to be respectful of him. He'd never met Creo before, nor did he know much about him.
His eyes then shot to Skyra, and he immediately narrowed them.
"What have you done now, Skyra? The attention of the angels seems to be focused on you ever so intently."

message 30: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"Trust me, it's not my intention," she growled. All Skyra wanted to do now was go back to the stupid dorm and get out of the torn dress. She could practically feel those satin sheets calling her. The books had finished burning, leaving on a scrap of paper left with the word "the" on it.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

"And it's not my intention to have my entire garrison spending all day watching over your every mishap." He retorted, crossing his arms. "We have more important things to attend to, yet you seem oblivious. If you want our protection you must stop getting your thick head into mindless trouble. Keep in mind that you are expendable."

message 32: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"I can handle myself Samuel," she hissed in front of the other angelus. She was determined. "I never wanted to be here in the first place if you angels didn't give that letter to my parents about this academy. I was better off. It's your fault I'm here. Why the Hunters found us," she said, her pendent turning a fire red with anger. Skyra's eyes shimmered gold, matching her dress.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

"Believe me, we did not send that letter. This school shouldn't even be here. I can't imagine what the blithering idiot who founded this place was thinking." Samael's eyes scanned around the area, before turning back to Skyra. "And it's Samael, by the way." He said it in a rather peeved tone. He lost count of the times his brothers and sisters had called him Samuel just to irk him.
His eyes softened slightly, and he extended a hand in a calming way, just to make a point. "Please, Skyra. If you say you can handle yourself, so be it. Let us trust you. I would be the most unpleasant experience if I was forced to smite you." There was a genuine truth in his eyes, but also a tiredness. Samael just wanted to get back on track and find his human.

message 34: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"Smite, a word with two meanings," Skyra glared. "And honestly, I hate either one." Her calming, now brown eyes slid to Creo. "I would watch that if I were you," she whispered cooly, eyeing it like a predator.

message 35: by Kendra (new)

Kendra (madamejade) | 1693 comments Skyra had not been the best at first impressions, so it's understandable that Creo willed a ruined portion of a wall near her to explode, the force of the explosion pushing her to her hands and knees but doing no real damage. He held Destructionsbane up to her neck, ready to spare or take her life.
"Why were you burning books?" he asked again, having been unable to see them on the little juncture from his crocodilian vantage point.

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
Skyra let out a sour laugh. "What do you think?' Her eyes shimmered gold and the blade started to turn on it's wielder, slowly pulling away from both of them. Skyra's fists was clenched by her sides and her pendent was a scarlet red.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Sam kept his eyes on her pendent in a rather nervous matter. "They contained information you didn't want us to see." He stated simply, more to himself than to the others. His angel blade began to manifest itself, seeming to sprout from his hand.

message 38: by tara, The Golden Heir (new)

tara wolfprism (tarawolfprism) | 1061 comments Mod
"Look who can think," she muttered, her scarlet calming into a unique topaz. Skyra was glad inside that Sam could see to be wary and he should be. Everyone was pushing her and the uncomfortable dress wasn't helping in the lightest.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

He opened his mouth to retort, but shut it just as quick, closing his eyes and pressing a hand to his forehead. The angelic telepathy trick came in handy, but it took a few years of training to tune it out. Right now static blurred through Sam's head, causing a fairly painful headache. There was another angelic being on school grounds beside himself and Creo. He looked up at Skyra with wide eyes, before vanishing with a flutter of wings.

Skyra raised her eyebrows. That actually worked out well. She looked to Creo. "We will meet again and perhaps next time, we can have a real conversation." She smiled darkly and disappeared into the woods.

((Creo, read suggestions :D))

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Brielle slowly walked into the ruins, her face still lit up in a light blush. Pulling her notepad out of her bag, she sat down on a sturdy pile of rocks. It wasn't comfortable but at least it was somewhat quiet. She pulled out a pencil and began to write a poem she'd been formulating in her head.

It took most of Bel's self control, and a bit of pain, but he managed to keep the Behemoth down and under control long enough to stop it from doing too much damage. His shirt was stained in blood, his fingers caked in it, and a good deal of it was in his hair. It was still slightly wet as he pulled his hands over the long locks.

message 43: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Brielle glanced up, hearing someone else enter the ruins. What she saw was a guy with long hair. He looked like he was in pain... and he was covered in blood. Brielle did a double take, "Hey!" She called, "Are you alright?"

Bel held his hand up to keep her back. Shaking his head, he blinked slowly. "I'm fine; don't worry about it," he replied. This isn't mine, he added mentally. His expression was glum as he shoved his left hand into his pocket, other hand holding back his hair from his eyes as he fished on the licenses he'd taken from the bodies.

message 45: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Brielle placed her notebook next to her, "Are you sure?" She didn't mean to impose but this guy was covered in blood. Suddenly, a thought hit her. She had no idea who this guy was. It could be his blood or someone else's blood. She hoped, though it was still a grim thing to think, that it was at least his.

His fingers met with the plastic identification cards, and the breath he didn't know he'd been holding was released. "Yeah, I'm sure," he said curtly, making sure she was at a reasonably safe distance away from him.

message 47: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) "Alright..." Brielle said, though she stood, making she sure she'd be ready if this guy needed help. She didn't really think he was okay. Why would she? If he'd just walked into the ruins looking normal she wouldn't have given him a second glance, but covered in blood? Well, that was a different story. She eyed him curiously: What exactly had happened to this guy?

Bel's eyes flickered between the usual blue color and red and gold. He grunted his dissatisfaction at finding his clothes were more so ruined than he'd earlier expected. He left his hair fall to his face, yes closed and head tipped back as he contemplated a good way to cove his tracks.

message 49: by Jenna ⭐ (new)

Jenna ⭐ (sungkew) Brielle wondered whether or not to approach this guy. She decided, though it probably wasn't a good idea, that she could at least try. She took a few steps forward, about five feet from the guy.

Bel's gaze darted to the girl. She was closer than before. Taking a few decisive steps away, he sent a heavy glare her way. "What're you doing," he questioned.
