Just started watching this season. I couldn't believe the ending!!!

that extended christmas episode spoiled everything :(

The ending was horrible. :(

I didn't actually see the episode (my dad told me about it...I was upset to have missed the episode, no matter how upsetting the episode itself was), but when my dad told me about it, I screamed, "WHAT???!!! NO WAY!!! WHY??????"

Anyone know when the new season premiers?

I was so upset too, I was hugging a pillow shouting at that episode. But I think I would have been more annoyed at any other ending. The only other possible way I could see him leaving is by divorce, which would have tarnished his character in my opinion.

I cried over Lady Sybil; so sad. Matthew was sad too, of course, but I didn't cry.
