Sapphira carries Lacey into the warehouse and lays her on the floor. She would leave to get things to make the poor girl comfortanle, but Lacey could wake up by then. A vampire.

Evy limped in, in her human form though. "Is she still changing?" She asked softly.

Sapphira nods, still watching Lacey. "She's lucky to be unconscious right now." she murmurs

((kk np...I'm gonna be drifting here as well))

Lacey moans and Sappira winces, "Would you mind finding a butcher and getting some animal blood for when she wakes up?" she asks Evy

Lacey fluttered her eyes slightly, her mouth aching like something fierce...a pressure inside her teeth like they wanted to push out of her mouth. And a strange...ravenous hunger began to build inside of her.

Sapphira watches Lacey. She was beginning to wake up. She prepares a blood bag

Lacey sat up slowly, her eye blinking rapidly as she struggled to understand what was going on. And then the smell of warm copper floated over her and she lost all sense of anything except the hunger rising in her stomach, taking her over.

Sapphira walks over to Lacey and hands the blood to her, "Drink dear." she knew that Lacey wouldn't be able to think of anything but blood.

Lacey felt the blood close to her, and then lunged forward with a snarl, tearing into the bag and drinking. Her mouth seemed to burst open as her fangs descended, but after that pain, it was nothing but satisfying the hunger she felt.

Sapphira sighs sadly. "That's right dear, drink." another promising life, wasted. She grabs another bag of blood ((Bye :( ))

Lacey had just finished the second bag when her sense came slamming back into her. She scrambled upright with a choking gasp, blood coating her chin and lips, and dribbling down her neck onto her clothes. She looked at Sapphira with wide eyes, horrified at what she'd just done....what she was.
"What....what happened?" she sobbed out, her mind whirling. "I'm a vampire now...aren't I?"

Sapphira watches her sadly, "Yes, you are. Calm down..." she pulls Lacey into a hug "I know how you're feeling."

Lacey jerked away from her with an involuntary snarl.
"Feeling?" she snapped, her fangs coming down as she glared at the other vampire, "That's the thing...I'm not feeling anything! Oh God..." she turned away with a gasping sob, wrapping her arms tightly around her as she mumbled half to herself, "I'm a vampire."

"Lacey," Sapphira says soothingly, "I know it's hard to accept. And I hate that this happened, but let me help you."

"How?" Lacey barked, turning around and glaring at her, "Show me how to hunt humans?"

"I would never hunt humans!" Sapphira ays, apalled. "How could you think that? I'll teach you to controll your thirst..."

"How was I turned?" Lacey lifted her chin, "A vampire hunted me. How was I suppose anything different?"

"Because I never once so much as looked at you and Cory like I would hurt you! Not all vampires are the same! I tried to protect you.... And failed..."

((bye))

Lacey sighed and turned towards her, a determined yet regretful look on her face.
"I'm sorry," she said, her voice soft, "I just...this is....really big for me to take in. This morning I didn't even think things like vampires were real....and now I'm one."

"I know what you mean." Sapphira sighs, "I felt the same way, but I had no one who would teach me... "

Lacey nodded and then took a breath, looking up at her.
"So," she said, "What's first?"

"First, you must learn your limits. You are extremely powerful now, stronger, faster, your mind can process things faster." Sapphira replies

"I don't think the last thing is true," Lacey said with a wry look.

Sapphira smiles, "It will, any person, no matter how fast their mind works, will be overwhelmed by a change like this."

"Isn't that true," Lacey said, and then asked quietly..."What about....blood....what about that?"

"Blood. You have to have blood,else you would starve, slowly becoming weaker until your body gave out. Though, you can still eat and drink regular food, you shouldn't overdo it." Sapphira holds out two bags of blood, "I've given you animal blood first," she indicates one hand, "so that you won't go into a feeding frenzy upon tasting human blood." she indicates the other bag.

"I thought you said I wouldn't have to drink human blood," Lacey said, backing up with a wild look on her face, the monster she was now aching to taste it, but her mind telling her not to.

"No, I said you wouldn't have to hunt humans. You can survive on mostly animal blood if you drink a pint of human blood every week." Sapphira says gently, "I know that you're very conflicted. Your mind says not to drink the blood, but your instincts are aching for you to drink it." Sapphira puts the blood away, "You can have some when you feel you're ready mentally, and not because your body is demanding it."

"If I don't hunt humans, then how the hell am I going to be able to "drink" human blood?" Lacey snapped, glaring at her.

"Blood banks." Sapphira says patiently, "You get bags from a blood bank, which I will buy for you, as I buy for myself."

"But where do they get them from?" Lacey persisted.

"Humans donate blood all the time, blood drives, and some of that blood is marketed to vampires." Sapphira answers, still patient. "I am one the the vampire who buys blood, instead of attacking humanes."

"Wait a minute," Lacey shook her head, still confused, "You mean blood drives aren't all for medical reasons? They're run by vampires?"

"No, there are very few, if any, run by vampires. Soje humans that know about us are willing to sell a small portion of the blood, though most of it is for medical use."

"Gotcha," Lacey said, although she wasn't very convinced.

"Seriously, blood is very expensive and rare. Ninety-eight percent of the blood in blood drives goes to humans for medical purposes." Sapprira says

"Ok, ok," Lacey said, closing her eyes, "Sorry. It's just..." she let out her breath, "I think I'm ok now."

"It's hard to accept that you've become a blood-sucking monster. Trust me, I know." Sapphirra says

Lacey didn't reply, just nodded her head.

"So, are you ready for blood or do you want to try out your new powers?" Sapphira twirls a log

"I don't know," Lacey said, her voice flat.

Sapphirra sets the log down, "Would just like to sit and think?"

Lacey shook her head, and began to pace.
"I just don't know," she repeated.

Sapphira watches her sadly, then sits on the floor. "You can do anything you want, within reason, so long as i'm with you, okay?" she says gently

((Wanted to let you know, I won't be on from tomorrow(Thursday) until Sunday))

"Why do you have to be with me?" Lacey asked.

"So that you don't do anything you regret." Sapphira says seriously. She knew from experience.
