Heidi Angell (heidiangell) | 131 comments So true! And something that so many of us struggle with, to be sure! I had an author friend who told me "So, yeah, my book is a YA, epic fantasy, sort of dystopian, action/romance!" What a mouthful, and not even really accurate. Niches are not bad, really!

Linda Rondeau (lindawoodrondeau) | 8 comments I write cross genre. My latest book is a cross between romance/paranormal/suspense/and cozy mystery.

Heidi Angell (heidiangell) | 131 comments Dr. William, certainly a lot are. The key is identifying the one or two main elements in the story, and keeping it simple for the consumer.

I find it hard to write without crossing genres. Sticking with one little box of a category is difficult.

And most all my reading is cross-genre. I can't think of a book I have read recently that didn't cross two or more genres.
