Elise padded through the forest, nose to the earth as she tracked a deer through the undergrowth. Her white ears flicked back against her skull and she sunk low to the ground as the sound of hooves became audible on the forest floor. Elise scoped the forest, her icy gaze sliding over the misty outlook. She was upwind of the deer so they wouldn't catch her scent but she could smell theres. That and the line that marked the silvermoon territory. Elise didn't usually cross that line though she was really close now and walking slowly through the trees she could smell the scent of the silvermoons on the wind. She gave her fur an uneasy shake and padded through the undergrowth. A deer became visible up ahead. A large but slender doe was stripping bark from the trees up ahead. Elise huffed, her breath condensing in front of her face. She let out a low hum before digging her claws into the earth and launching herself into space. Her small paws hit the earth and she flew through the trees. What she lacked in size Elise definitely made up for in speed. The deer flicked an ear towards her and then bolted into the trees. A feral snarl ripped through Elise's jaws and she kicked her feet into the earth, driving herself faster until she was upon the creature. Her teeth closed around the doe's neck with a satisfying crunch and the two went tumbling over in the earth.
Panting, Elise got to her feet and shook her fur out inspecting her kill. It was only at that point that she realised she had crossed the line. She pricked her ears up and gazed about the space, her hunting had put her in danger but she wasn't about to just drop her kill and leave.
Craven was on patrol, he was supposed to head back to the pack house 10 minutes ago. But he felt a presence enter the boarder, he needed to check it out. He came upon a she-wolf standing over a dead deer. She smelt of Shadowfield...Craven released a loud threatening snarl. Creeping closer to her.
Ali was just on the edge of the Silvermoon's border, she decided to take the offer from Fenris, well she would at least stay at the Silvermoon territory until she learned something's and decided whether or not to become apart of the Silvermoon pack or stay a rouge, Ali was waiting for someone to come, she wasnt about to die for crossing
Elise's head shot up at the sound of paws thudding against the damp earth and when the deep snarl reached her ears she froze, her body tensing rigidly as she turned to face her accuser. The wolf that stood before her was much larger than she was, male and great brute who had a wild and reckless aura to him. Elise backed up a little from her kill but she wasn't going to abandon it. It may have crossed the line but it was still hers. Her lips drew back from over her teeth and low growl sounded in her throat. She wasn't any good and this threatening thing but it was one on one so she guessed she wasn't at a huge disadvantage. Elise shook out her fur and watched the male wolf in agitation.
Craven had informed both his alpha and beta about the rogue and the shadow on their lands. Flaring his nostrils at his orders, he ran behind a tree where the Silvermoon had spare clothes. He walked out when he changed, "Rogue, the alpha has granted you permission to go to the pack house. Be warned though, you will be watched!" His gazed turned to the shadow, "Your alpha has been informed of your boarder breach, I am to escort you off Silvermoon land."
Elise's eyes flickered briefly to the kill at her feet as she listened to the words of the silvermoon in front of her. She huffed under her breath and backed off a little before turning on her heel and sprinting into the trees. Elise cleared the border line as she launched over the scent placement and turned to see the silvermoon. She raised her nose in the hair in a somewhat snooty manner before disappearing between the trees. Elise wasn't looking forward to getting back to the house, the alpha was going to have her tail for this.
Craven stared after the shadow and shook his head. He was going to take her to get something to eat in town, but she took off before he finished explaining himself. He rand his hand through his hair, and sighed...what should he do now? He decided to go into town anyways, he was hungry and was going to get something to eat.
Ali wasnt on Silvermoon grounds, but she could she what was going on, maybe the offer was gone, maybe she should just go home Ali thought.....wherever that was.
Craven turned to the rogue, "Nope, don't even think about it." she looked like she was about to bolt. "Follow me, I'll take you to the pack house. Don't worry, no one will hurt you, alpha's orders and all." he gave her a reassuring smile, as he motioned for her to follow him.
"Try not to make anyone angry when we get there...the Silvermoon pack is a little...harsh against rogues." Craven explained as he walked with her to the pack house.
Lily walked through the woods of her pack territory. The meeting with the rogues had been intense. I mean on the bright side they had a beta male but on the down side Renee would probably murder him in his sleep. She sighed and sat down against a nearby tree listening to the sounds so natural in the woods.
Axel ran up to Lily, "Hey are you alright? You ran off without saying goodbye..." He was worried about her, what happen today was a lot to take in. He was still shocked at what his cousin had done. A rogue as a beta? It was insane!
She shrugged. "I just don't like that everyone assumes that rogues are so terrible. I mean not all of them are. I mean was I terrible when I joined the pack? Where my parents. No. I spent my first 10 years as an rogue. Yeah I didn't know I was a werewolf but my parents spent 15 years as rogue's 5 of them before I was born. And they never killed anyone. Yeah okay I get why some people don't like them but its stupid how everyone thinks they're all the same when there not. That's like saying all humans are the same."She realized she was ranting and that he probably didn't want to hear all of this so she shut up.
"When your on the not on the side that lost something it's hard to see the reason behind their pain. The former alphas trusted those rogue...hell Lily, one of them was my dad." Axel stopped, he had never told anyone this before. "My father wanted his own pack, and my uncle was going to allow it...until he killed both of my cousins. That's why everyone hates rogues so much in the Silvermoon pack. But Finn has tried to change that, most of our current members are ex-rogues. That's because he gives the ones he sees good in a choice, a chance at a life not on the run, or in hiding."
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "Okay yeah I get that but still thinking every rogue is the same is wrong."She said quietly. She shook her head. "Okay um I really don't wanna talk about this right now okay its giving me a headache so can we please talk about something else. Please just anything."She said rubbing her temples.
"How about that strip tease right in the middle of the meeting? I thought that the alpha was going to throw them out." Axel attempted to get her to laugh.
She grinned. "Yeah that was pretty funny."She said with a laugh. "I mean really in the middle of a meeting in front of the pack?"
Axel groaned, "Some people, huh? What shocks me is who is was...." not wanting to say more out loud he got quiet. He walked over and sat beside her, tossing her a fruit roll up.
Lily easily caught the fruit roll up and started chewing on it. "Yeah."She agreed. "You'd have thought though that they would at least know to do that stuff in private."She rolled her eyes. "Talk about hormonal."She said with a grin.
"How do you feel bout our new beta? Do you think he'll be good for the pack?" Axel was slightly upset about it, he had always hoped that his cousin would name him beta. Obviously, he was wrong. He wasn't sure how he felt about the rog...beta going from rogue to beta without any proof that he was trustworthy though.
She shrugged. "I don't know."She answered. "I mean we really don't know the guy so she can't exactly judge how he'll do. We just have to hope he'll be good for the pack. Fenris seems to think so and he's alpha so I guess that means we should at least give him a chance."She explained.
((OMG! Spider just came at me! Ughhh! I hate them!!))Axel reluctantly nodded in agreement, "I guess you're right. Fenris does have this weird ability to pick out rogues that actually turn out to be loyal pack members." he flashed her a joking smile, "I mean just look at you and Renee. You two aren't that bad. For ex-rogues and all..."
(UGH I hate them too so creepy))She shrugged. "Well yeah but for me in my 10 years of roguedom I didn't even know I was a werewolf. I was lead to believe I was human. You know human school. Human friends. Hanging out like a human pretty much."She said.
Axel knew, he just liked to tease her sometimes. He understood that some rogues were okay, but there were some...like hos father that weren't. Letting them roam around town is one thing, but he agreed that if they entered pack land without permission they should be killed. Yes, it was harsh. But what reason would they have to cross without permission? What reason did they have to be all the way out here anyways? Axel tried to see it Lily's way, he really did, but sometimes it was just hard.
"Don't think too hard now Axel you might hurt your head."She teased. She knew not everyone would see things her way and that she couldn't expect them to. And she didn't expect them to. I mean it was good enough if they just tried. She just wanted them to try and if it doesn't work then fine it didn't work. And she meant like really actually try. Not something where they say they tried but really all they did was think the word rogue and decide they hated them and it didn't work. No she meant like seriously try.
"Ouch, way to wound my pride, Lily-Pad!" Axel held his hand to his hart as if she had broken it. He wondering if they were done with the madness in the pack house...he also wondered where Cora was. He hadn't seen his baby cousin since she got back from university. Good thing she can back early too. If she had arrived when she was originally supposed to, well they wouldn't have an alpha female. "Have you seen Cora at all? We could have really used her tonight, when Renee went postal." As Luna Cora seemed to have a calming effect on everyone. Which is great in situations like tonight turned out to be.
She rolled her eyes at him and laughed. She put both hands over her heart. "Oh Axel I am so so sorry about your pride."She said in mock sympathy before laughing again. She shook her head. "Haven't seen Cora at all sorry. But yeah it would have been nice if she were there."She shrugged. "Well no one was hurt at least."
"Tell me about it, then we would have seriously been screwed. Having a Luna has made us lazy in the healer department. We have hunters, scouts, and sentinels out the wazoo! But only one healer...one." Axel chuckled out loud, they were a physical pack, they currently outmatched the Shadowfield pack in strength and number.
She shrugged. "Yeah we kinda are. I never really thought about it before."She said. "But yeah its also a good thing because pack member getting hurt at all isn't a good thing in and of itself."She said. She never realized how the pack replied so much on their strength believing they won't get hurt resulting in more Sentinels, hunters and scouts.
"Well with Cora around we never really had to worry about our pack members getting hurt. She's like 5 super charged healers all rolled in one, but if she was to be out of town or something, doomed. One word and that it is, doomed." Axel decided he should talk to Finn about it, he needed to know.
Lily laughed at his comment about Cora."Yeah she kinda is."She agreed. "Wasn't she just out of town?"She questioned. "We weren't doomed then. Not saying it couldn't happened cause it could but..."She shrugged.
"She was finishing up her final semester before she starts medical school...she wants to be a doctor." Axel understood she felt the need to improve herself, but she could already do everything without going to college. That's the part he couldn't understand.
Lily nodded. "Oh yeah I forgot about her going to medical school."She said. "But it makes since that she wants to be a doctor and all since she is the luna."She wondered what job she would have had if she still believed she were human. She also wondered what she'd be doing now if she still lived without knowing. She'd probably be with Kaitlyn, Skylar and Rose down by the lake daring each other to jump in the freezing water.
(( I don't wanna D: ))"Ehh I don't know, she's never been one for that kind of thing before. But you never know, the past defines us more than we ever know." Axel's face was thoughtful, sometime's he was very insightful....sometimes. "Where do you think you would be, if you never found out you were a werewolf?"
She laughed a humorless laugh. "Yeah the past really does."She said. She smiled at him. "I'd probably be with my three human best friends Kaitlyn Sky and Rose down by the lake daring each other to jump into the freezing water. After awhile of nobody taking the dare we'd walk to the end of the dock and I try to push Kaitlyn in but she'd take me with her so we'd both be soaked and freezing. Rose and Sky would back away so we could grab them and pull them in so we'd just start splashing them but of course they'd move away so we couldn't anymore. Eventually Kaitlyn and I would pull ourselves out of the lake and we'd all go back to Kaitlyn's for hot chocolate and maybe a scary movie and we'd all end up spending the night there past out on the coach."She said with a smile. She could picture it too. She missed them a lot. I mean she visited maybe twice a year. But it wasn't the same. The four of them use to hang out every day. They had been inseparable.
Axel felt bad for her, he didn't know what he would do if he didn't have Craven or Finn. Heck, even Renee had Cora, "Maybe you could start hanging out with Cora now that she's back, I'm sure she wouldn't mind. Her Renee don't do much but train, shop, and work out. But I'm sure they are fun sometimes." He looked over at her, and pushed a strain of loose hair behind her ear.
"Yeah maybe."She said with a small smile. "Not that I could ever replace the 3 of them but I do need some friends again. Just talking with people because they're pack ain't gonna cut it."She said. She didn't know Cora very well. The only times she ever really talked to her was when she was hurt and needed healing.
"Why don't we head back? I'm sure that everything has died down now...hopefully anyways." Axel smiled over at her, offering his hand to help her up.
"One can only hope, right?" he waved his hand in front of himself for her to lead the way. "If not, we can always leave again."
She shook her head and starting to lead the way. "Something tells me we'll be leaving again then."She said and shot a grin at him over her shoulder.
"Yeah...just heard that the fighting isn't over..." Axel stopped, apparently Renee had been asleep. That was until Finn busted through the house in a rage, because Renee called him a coward.
She cringed. "You still think we should go back?"She asked turning around to face him. Finn seemed pissed and she really didn't wanna deal with a pissed of alpha.
"Well from what I've heard, Finn isn't mad anymore because Envy calmed him down. And Cora is at the house now, so she has a great chance of calming Renee down. It might not be so bad after all, but it's up to you." Axel revealed the information he had just found out.
She bit her lip. "Do you think we'd be interrupting?"She asked. If he thought they would be then she'd just stay here. She could wait if she had to. Pack business was more important than her wanting a friend.
"I'm not sure, honestly I think there will still be a whole bunch of fighting going on...it might be safer here," he gave her a faint smile.
