I've added it to our bookshelf, but I had to guess which shelves to out it on, so you might want to double check.

Maddie wrote: "What's the Daily Dose? Just curious."It's a package of stories that Dreamspinner delivers to you, one story a day for the month of June. You can either buy the entire package, or each story individually. Here's Dreamspinner's page on it: http://www.dreamspinnerpress.com/stor...

Is that why a bunch of Dreamspinner time travel books appeared last year? I am not always crazy about DS's editing, but I was very happy indeed to see that (I love time travel).

Well, if we have to introduce ourselves... girds up loins...
I'm Anna, and I've loved science fiction ever since I first realised it existed. I've been writing stories for myself for years, and I've recently taken the plunge to write professionally.
I have a short story in a Dreamspinner anthology being published in June (their 2013 Daily Dose) but it's not science fiction related - although it does make a lot of jokes about maths, Boolean mapping and Legrangian points.
But more to the point, I've also just self-published a novella (around 20,600 words) which is both m/m romance and science fiction, and I'm currently working on the Shield series of five novels, also science fiction.
FlashWired
FlashWired is the story of Cal Paxton and Jeeze Madrid, the top scouting team on the Pathfinder-class starship, the Carson, on the very outer edge of Earth's expansion across the galaxy. They're wingmen, best friends and lovers. Jeeze is shot down over a planet inhabited by a race Earth has never before encountered, and it's some time before the Carson can finally mount a rescue mission. What will Cal find, and will he finally be able to persuade Jeeze to accept hand and heart?
Maybe I should warn for an ambivalent ending!
Chapter 1 of the first Shield novel, Gyrfalcon, is included with FlashWired as a taster.
Anyhow, I look forward to some lively discussions here on the board and getting some great recommendations to read.
