It's time to fill our shelves with great recommendations from our readers. Please recommend your all-time favorite Romance book, and we'll put it on our book shelves. J.R. Ward is one of my all time favorite romance writers. Her Black Dagger Brotherhood series is amazing. Dark Lover is the first novel.

I love Nick too!

I would recommend "The Man in 3B" by Carl Weber. It is an awesome suspense, drama, and love story mixed in one. It's the first time Author Carl Weber steps out of his comfort zone and writes a different genre. He keeps his sense of humor however, and fills us with bizarre and hilarious characters. The ending will shock you!!!

This is the first in the trilogy by Nora Roberts and was the best romance series I've ever read.

I was torn. I love "The Time Traveller's Wife" by Audrey Niffenegger - but technically, is it a romance I had to ask myself? So I went back to another of my favorites Outlander the version I read was called "Cross Stitch", the first of the Outlander series Cross Stitch. Jamie and Claire are just a beautiful couple.

I loved this book, not a straight romance but I wonderful story. The Gentle Wind's Caress

This is a personal favorite for me.

I'd recommend Jude Deveraux's VELVET PROMISE, it's an oldie but the start to a great series.

I recommend 'Rock Star' by Jackie Collins. It's an enjoyable, absorbing story.

As Independence Day approaches, it is wonderfully easy to look forward to taking a day to wave our flags and shake the hands of those who have served our country overseas in order to assure our freedom. We dress up, walk in parades, shoot firecrackers and eat barbeque, drink gallons of beer, then return to our homes and our jobs feeling self-satisfied that we have done our bit to “honor our soldiers.” But is that even close to being enough?

Mercedes, I haven't yet read a Nora Roberts novel that I haven't liked, she is a fabulous writer and her stories encompass many genre's within her romance novels, she has been writing for Harlequin M&B for a long time and is my favourite author from this publisher.....

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers is my all time favorite love story/romance novel. She is an excellent writer who never fails to keep my attention and make me want to stay up all night reading!

Requiem For The Fallen

Very nice book, for those looking for something different, out of the ordinary and also inspiring. It is moody, dark and redemptive. Prose with a twist of poetry. :)

That is incredibly generous to donate so much, and yet I don't suppose Katy considers it enough.

I hope she realises... I'm sure she does... how much more she is giving than money. She's raising the status of those who serve and protect to where it should be: the top of everyone's list of people to respect.

I don't claim to have done anything like that in my novel, but there is a message hidden beneath the sex, drama and celeb hype if readers open their eyes, and their hearts.

I shall be interested to see if it comes up in the Book of the Month discussion in November, and delighted if it does. "Love", in my case Romantic Suspense, written for a purpose, can be a powerful weapon for good.

Losing Patients by Virginia Taylor.
It's clever and witty, combining romance with a doctor, detective work by a nurse to find a killer, and plenty of tension. I really enjoyed it.

I started reading Always Cambridge by HK Carlton. I love the style of writing, very descriptive without an over-the-head vocabulary. I would think it difficult to research this type of information, but she's done a great job of holding my attention. It just sort of sucks you in and won't let go. This is the first book I've read from this author, but surely won't be the last. I'm not usually a fan of mob-style books - but this is a romance that just grabs you.

& I keep coming back to you
Whenever reality gets to me, whenever I feel lost in this big yet infinitesimal world, whenever I feel low, whenever there is this emptiness & I have to go to look for love, for hope, I read this book.

It is historical romance. And those who like cheating, double timing, explaining all the wrong done in name of lust (& then call it love), well you will be disappointed.

Coz this is a story of two ppl falling in love every single day, fighting their battles both of 'em standing together side by side, it is about sacrifices you make for love and for what you believe in, it is about all those thing which are so missed in now a days literature, it gives hope to a pure, pious feeling called love.

Pls do read it, one of the best book I have read.
