Becky (beckycolcord) Going forward, we will have to have a plethora of novels to choose from, so if you will, recommend all the novels you can. Any range of post-apocalyptic type!

Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

I loved the maze Runner series, along with Matched, Birthmarked, Enclave, and the Dwellers Saga, followed by the Country Saga. the books of Ember are also good.

Divergent, don't know how post apocalyptic it would be considered but very good.

It seems I have nothing else to do but this lol. But the Legend series is really good too!

Holly (hollycoulson) Anyone who wants a more 'adult' dystopian novel, The Handmaid's Tale is a phenomenal read.

Tyler (trogers) | 6 comments Hi, I am looking for another series to start on, I've read Hunger Games (loved it!!), Divergent (great story, serious disappointment with other parts) and I've just finished Shatter me but after reading reviews and plot summaries about the next book I was quite upset and cant bring myself to keep going with the rest of the series.

Can anyone suggest a good series to read that mixes romance (please don't judge, and NO love triangles!!) and good action?

Thank you

Jennifer (jenngerber) | 2 comments Mila 2.0 is a new novel, and although it isn't a dystopia it has a lot of action in it and a little bit of a romance!! I loved it & definitely suggest it as a read.

Tyler (trogers) | 6 comments Thank you Jennifer, I'll check it out.

Becca Sokolosky (becsoko420) | 3 comments I'm glad you recommend Birthmark, Enclave, Legend & Matched. They are all on my to-read list. The Dwellers Saga, Country Saga and book of Embers aren't ones I have heard of. I will have to look into them for sure! I also have Margaret Atwood on my to-read list.

Tyler (trogers) | 6 comments Jennifer, I have gotten the sample of Mila 2.0 and the premise sounds really good but before I get into the story, is there any sort of love triangle? I hate sound like a child but that's a show stopper for me. Thanks for your suggestions.

Becky (beckycolcord) I just finished Enclave about twenty minutes ago and so far, it's fantastic! I really enjoyed it. It isn't so much dystopian as it is post-apocalyptic. Still, a very interesting read, I'd highly recommend. Also, Legend is spectacular. I haven't made it to the final book in the trilogy, but it is definitely worth picking up.

Jenn | 7 comments Going to check out Birthmarked now! Another one not mentioned is Cinder... Takes a little to get into but it's really good, i like the love drama. Prob 3rd fav on my list. Just got done The Woodlands, quick read and pretty decent.

The Uglies is a good series. The Forrest of Hands and Teeth is another good one. They are YA, but totally different

Jenn | 7 comments Just finished Horde ( razorland series) what a good ending! Especially after the bad ending of The 3rd Divergent book I had read right before. I really liked the series, one of my favs!

glad to know Horde has a good ending. Allegiant was kind of disappointing.

Becky (beckycolcord) I'm reading Outpost right now - very interesting! Moves with good pace.
I agree about Allegiant, I hated it so much I quit reading it.

Liz Bell | 1 comments Hi everyone! I am grateful for discovering Goodreads! Such great exposure. I am a 32 year old chick living in Manhattan and I’ve written two books, NOTHING like one another. One is a YA dystopian novel about a girl who is born into the Illuminati, but is unable to be programmed or brainwashed. She therefore is an outcast among the “Others” (everyone else other than the Illuminati) and her own cult. She grows to see how evil a conspiracy she was born into and quests on a search for her mother who ran away when she was little, and answers. Only 99 cents, give it a shot!

My other novel is an adult fiction work, based on my real life high school bullying experiences (hence the similarities in the name). Listina is an angry bitter alcoholic who is barely functioning and stumbles upon diaries that she knows she is afraid to read. She does, after hitting rock bottom, she knows her spiral downward is going to kill her. She relives every humiliating memory one by one, being bullied by her own friends as well as other girls. Here are links to my social media below. Enjoy!

N (worldwidereads) | 1 comments Hi Survivors!

As a prepper and post-apocalyptic fiction fan, I'm happy to see how big the apocalypse community is!

This is one of my favorite doomsday quotes: "If the grocery shelves are empty, you're nine meals away from anarchy". I created a story around the consequences of survival instinct, Lucifer Effect, Gray Man Theory, and several other theories and facts.

I'd love to invite you to check out my 4th book, Apartment 905 . It's an action-packed dystopian book about the story of Matt Macain in a world that lost 80% of its population because of a deadly virus (Sounds familiar?)

Since I'm self-publishing this book, I decided to run a crowdfunding campaign to cover the costs. In return for your generosity, you will receive a printed book, audiobook, ebook, or the entire package based on your contribution level.

Crowdfunding Campaign for Apartment 905

Please feel free to reach out about what you think about the story, cover, and everything else. I'd love to hear from fellow post-apocalyptic fiction lovers! My email is nedim@nedimsahin.net

BLURB:

After a deadly virus wipes out 80 percent of the world’s population, Matt Macaine, an ordinary urban resident, must now live in a corrupt society ruled by gangs after the government’s collapse.

Unwilling to abide by new rules, Matt escapes his apartment and ventures on a cross-country trip to unite with his family. He eventually realizes the virus and gangs are not the only threats in this post-apocalyptic world.

Is it a mistake to leave the confines of his home, or is fleeing worth what he uncovers?

Stay safe!
Ned
