Here is where we can discuss Elantris by Brandon Sanderson chapters 23-33.
DO NOT post any spoilers from further along in the book, this is just for chapters 23-33. Discussing events from these chapters and previous ones though is perfectly fine.

I just finished chapter 26 :)
(view spoiler)[AH! I loved that Raoden and Sarene have kinda met in Elantris :D I got a little ridiculously excited over that, haha. Also feeling more sympathy for Hrathen lately as well, now that he seems to be having doubts and stuff (hide spoiler)]

Ya same I really start not hating him! All the chapters have melted together for So i am not sure What I should talk about. I am not just sure how to do the spoiler tag thing that hides spoiler? Would anybody be able to tell me?

Finished Chapter 33 -
The book is starting to get into my favorite part now. I love romance but I have a problem with instant attraction and love. I love that Raoden and Sarene make a connection while he is cursed and she has no idea who he is.
But I'm still not completely liking Sarene. She is very arrogant.

I am not a big romance person person but as long as its done well by author and its not insta-love then I am Fine with it!
I completely agree on Sarene I really like her but its hard to love her character because of her arrogance.

Yeah, I hate instant love too. I liked the development between Sarene and Raoden when she had no idea who he was as well. I thought it was interesting and nicely done.

And yes, Sarene was quite annoying. I liked that she was strong and intelligent, but her arrogance that she's the only intelligent person in all of Arelon was really irritating.

And yes, (view spoiler)[I was really intrigued by what the King was doing. I've finished the book now so I can't quite remember what he's been doing by this time and how much you know but it is very exciting! And I liked how Hrathen's been developing over the book. I like him a lot more than I thought I was going to. (hide spoiler)]

Wow, a ton of stuff happened in this section!

I really liked all the scenes with Serene and Roaden. To be honest, my usual genre is romance, so it doesn't bother me at all. Although I am not an insta-love person much either (although I've seen in done well), the also say that they had been corresponding for a year via letters and their seons. I like that though; they got to know each other before they met. I am also a fan of when there is some big misunderstanding that comes into the love story like happened here.

The area discovered by the Elantrians was very intriguing, and I am looking forward to seeing the outcome of that, sort of confused about the pool though. 1) Why is it so far away from Elantris, and 2) Why is it able to maintain its magic?

Hrathen was a huge shocker. I didn't want to stop reading at that point. I think it is kind of cool that with all of his doubts he will now get an inside look at the place he was trying to bring down.

The King... Wow. Looking forward to seeing how that plays out.
