Zohal (bookworm122) | 202 comments I CAN'T WAIT TILL THIS EPISODE.

I really enjoy scary episodes of Doctor Who.

When I saw the trailer the first thing I thought or was reminded of was a Sarah Jane Adventure episode I saw which seemed very familiar.

I can't believe this is the episode where the Doctor will be afraid and he will admit that he is afraid.

I voted on the poll. I chose The Unquiet Dead cause that episode just freaked me out.

CAN'T WAIT!

Leyah (serferrant) | 365 comments I haven't voted on the poll yet. Can't decide which episode to choose! Btw, this episode looks EPIC.

I kind of feel terrified of this episode a bit maybe yeah. I don't generally like scary things. BUT it's Doctor Who so I can't wait.

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 1085 comments This is an awesome season lemme tell ya wut! I don't think they'll tell us his name. They can't ruin the mystery! Moffat is misleading us again

message 15: by Sinda (new)

Sinda Quietus (superwholockedtrekacrossthestars) | 553 comments Mod
I hope so. I don't want the mystery to be revealed. The Doctor's most important secret.

message 16: by Zohal (new)

Zohal (bookworm122) | 202 comments I think that in that episode River will find out his name as we know that he did not actually say his name to her in 'the wedding of river song' but we do know that she knows his name because of 'silence in the library/forests of the dead'

message 17: by Zohal (new)

Zohal (bookworm122) | 202 comments But I don't think we'll find out the name

HOW DID I NEVE MAKE THAT CONNECTION BEFORE howhowhowHOW did I not notice that's why she knew his name.

Zohal (bookworm122) | 202 comments Here is an article taken from this url http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/doctorwho/...

The title of the series finale has been revealed and is the hugely intriguing: The Name of the Doctor.

The ‘poster’ for the series’ final adventure was unveiled today and it also confirms that Alex Kingston is back, joining Matt Smith and Jenna-Louise Coleman for what promises to be a jaw-dropping end to a spectacular series.

But we’re not there, yet! We’ve still to unravel the mystery of Clara – the woman ‘twice killed’ and yet still by the Doctor’s side… What secrets does she hold? And in the weeks ahead we’ve a trip to a haunted house, a journey to the centre of the TARDIS and a nightmare clash with the mighty Cybermen. But after all those adventures we have The Name of the Doctor and stand by for something that you might always have believed to be impossible…

[This series is probably going to become one of my favourites. :)]

message 21: by Marlene (new)

Marlene Ocampo (seeyouspacecowboy) Hide was fantastic! Absolutely bloody fantastic! It wasn't rushed at all, it had good character moments, an interesting and original plot, and I was entranced throughout the whole thing! Lots of quotables, and the TARDIS is as sassy as ever. XD I love you, Sexy. Oh, and Clara was great. SHE DROVE THE BLOODY TARDIS, FOR PETE'S SAKE!

Something else I've really been enjoying about Clara. Even though she has one of the most perplexing backstories (with the whole twice-dead thing), she behaves as a very realistic companion. She talks about the morality of the Doctor seeing the birth and death of the Universe, and she was shakened by seeing the dead bodies in Cold War. I am very impressed by her character, and think that she has been doing a magnificent job as a companion.

LOVED this episode.
References to Sherlock?
References to classic?
Yesssss good
Shipping monsters?
Also good.
I think Clara is a time lord, because she drove the tardis. Also when Emma was describing Clara she said "pretty, clever, and more afraid then she looks." that applies to the doctor perfectly.

message 24: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 1085 comments Well she doesn't have to be a time lord to fly the TARDIS, she can fly herself ya know :p

message 25: by Zohal (new)

Zohal (bookworm122) | 202 comments I just watched the episode and it was great. CLARA IS AMAZING!!!!

Cannot wait till me next weeks ep!

Yeah but she didn't really have time for training. And the Doctor can't really even fly it either haha. And lots of other things too haha.

message 31: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 1085 comments Haha, well it is supposed to be flown by several Time Lords :)

Zohal (bookworm122) | 202 comments Has anyone else noticed the increased amount of rose references in the past doctor who episodes. They're indirect but they still refer to Rose.

E.g. In HIDE
"Can't you just, you know, fly the TARDIS into a parallel universe"

"It's the oldest story in the universe. Boy and girl fall in love, get separated by events, war, politics accidents in time. Since then they've been yearning for each across time and space, across dimensions."

And also this

Check out this website. It shows all rose references. Your mind will be blown

You mean to tell me that every single time they mention/show wine or say rose or have someone wearing a rose it is a subtle reference to the character of Rose?

I think maybe some of it might be intentional but I think that most of it is not.

Yeah not all of them are really references merely people over-analysing but there are some pretty interesting references such as the fact that the day that Rose met the 9th Doctor was the day that Clara's mother died.

5th March 2005

message 36: by Emily (new)

Emily (lafillebrigitte) | 1085 comments Some of those are pretty far fetched, but I agree, I definitely noticed the references in dialogue
