Nothing Beyond. discussion

River pulled open the door to the Caf, marveling at the intricate designs and the long, white and red tables. Man, this school is just amazing...She thought. She looked around for someone she knew, but didn't see anyone.

As River took a seat near one of the floor length windows, she looked up and saw Arissa enter. Another girl was walked by her side.

River waved and grinned. It felt nice to actually know someone now. "Hey!"

Clover stood silent by Arissa's side.

"Hi Clover! Nice to meet you," River shook Clover's hand and motioned for the two to sit. "And I don't know what I'm gonna have...haven't decided yet. 'Bout you guys?"

"I may have a garden salad, but the greasy pizza also sounds yummy," she laughs.

River chuckled. "Well, why don't we get a pizza and split it? Sound good?"

"Sounds good to me," clover smiles.

"Cool," River stood up, taking out her Student checking card. "Pepperoni good, or y'all want different toppings? It's my treat."

"Pepperoni sounds great, and thank you," she grins at river.

"Sounds interesting... why not? First Firewhiskey now pineapple and pepperoni pizza!" She laughed. "You game Clover?"

When River strode up to the line at the counter, she stood behind a tall guy with brown hair, who had his thumbs hooked in his jean pockets.

((Sorry guys, had to do my chores -_- imma make a guy soon too.))

Clover waits by Arissa, "So have you known River long?"

Clover laughs, "She seems nice."

River hurriedly glanced away, embarrassed the boy had caught her staring.

River looks over to where Clover and Arissa are sitting, and shoots them both a 'omg how hot is this dude?!' expression, motioning with her eyes to Ethan.

"Thanks, and yeah I see him but I dont really know him," she looks at the guy.

Clover starts laughing as the boy catches their stares.

"Hush!" River says in a light tone, trying not to giggle too hard. Finally, as the line inches forward, she decides to say something to the guy.
"Uh, hi!Ihaven'tseenyouaroundherebeforeareyounew?"
She mentally yells at herself as the words tumble from her mouth.

Derrick walks in, this is his first time in the cafeteria, first day at his new school. Derrick than goes through the cafeteria line, than finds an empty and sits at it.

Clover keeps laughing harder now that river spoke to the boy.

River tried again, taking a deep breath.
"Sorry, um... Hi! I'm River, what's your name?"

"Oh, nice to meet ya! So um, are you new here?"
River tries to ignore the laughs coming from Clover and Arissa.

Clover covers her mouth with her hand to muffle her laughing.

Clover calms herself and decides to help River, "Im Clover," she smiles.

"Hows your day been? A bunch of wonderful I hope," she rocks back and forth on her heels.

Beet red, River quickly grabbed their pizza and half ran back over to her friends and sat down, covering her face with her hands.

Clover watched as River left. She was wide eyed and less confident.

"Ohhhhmygod. Now he's just gonna laugh every time he sees me!"
She lifted her head and saw Derrick, a guy she's actually seen around before.
"Alright, someone go see if Derrick wants to sit with us. But NOT me...I've gotta recover."

"So this is Arissa, Derrick, and you already know River," she says as she motions for Ethan to sit.

Derrick now sets his tray down and sits by Arrisa

Derrick finally sums up the courage to say hi. "Hello everyone."

Clover smiles and flinches as someone touches her shoulder.

"Care to introduce us?" Felix and Sam say at the same time.
