"Awesome! I play guitar. I've got two." River took out her phone while she spoke, and checked it quickly for any texts.
"I love it."A thought occured to River, and she asked Ethan shyly, "Um, so I was wondering if I could possibly try something with my powers on you? I wanna see if I can access certain memories..."
"Perfect."She turned to him, a serious expression in her face. "Listen, I need you to create a sort of...room, in your head, sperate from all the others. And lock in there only a few memories that you won't mind seeing- or feeling- again. I'm going to try and find them and replaying them in your head so I can see them too. I'm gonna try my best not to hurt you, but let me know if I do."
(mornin'! throw a quick post up and then I gtg! bleh tomorrow is moving day! cross your fingers I wont drop something on my feet...fall down the stairs... y'know ;D ahaha)River could tell that whatever Ethan was thinking of was painful.
"Are you ready?" She asked.
"Okay.." River touched his shoulder, focusing hard. It was as if she were in a maze; a dark maze, with no light to guide her. She was wandering, taking shuffling steps forward until she saw a door. A light came from inside it, and she eagerly turned the handle. Like a wave of ice cold air, Ethan's memories hit her, and she gasped as all the air left her lungs. But she had to keep trying- she caught flashes of people; a young Ethan standing in the doorway of a house, watching his Mother take off...
"Don't move..." She whispered.A tense moment passed, and River opened her mind, forcing herself to relax. Screams met her ears, mingled with voices, many, but she could pick out Ethan's from the group.
She saw a man, who must've been his father, striking Ethan across the face, sending him to the ground. She felt the physical sting of it as well as the emotional pain it brought Ethan.
River felt like she was about to pass out, so she dropped her hands, recoiling from Ethan's mind like a bungee cord snapping back."Are you okay?" She asked.
"I saw...your parents... your mom leaving? I saw your Dad hitting you..." She swallowed, obviously shaken. "But I...I *felt* it all too. I felt how sad and angry you were when she left. And how afraid. And the pain and fear when he hit you..."
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have done that." A little flustered, River pulled out her cell phone and texted Arissa, hoping the two could meet. She felt like she'd interfered too much into Ethan's mind.
She nodded, looking him deep in the eyes. "Thank you."But she found she couldn't look away, as hard as she tried, her gaze was locked with his.
"So...maybe we can meet up again tomorrow?" She said, blinking for the first time in a few seconds. "After classes?"
Finding her courage, River stepped forward and hugged Ethan quickly, blushing when she pulled back. "Bye,"
"This is nice," He commented, looking around at the old fashioned lamps that were lighting up the dusky night. He glanced down at his hand, still held tightly in Shale's, even though they'd slowed their pace.
A spark of heat jumped in Ryan's stomach, but he said nothing except for, "Yeah..."(sorry it's so short- just waking up lol)
"Well... my family are all magical, so I guess they call that "Pure- blood" or whatever, not that I care. I've an older brother, Clint, who's an idiot, a young sister Brit, who's...weird," He snorted. "And pretty decent parents, though they try to make me out as the next "big and powerful wizard". Which is embarrassing." Ryan shrugged. "Not much to tell really."
"Nope. So, does your family live here? In the town? Or somewhere else?" Ryan asked, reaching up to brush back his hair that had fallen into his eyes. "I've gotta get this damn hair cut a little bit I think." He laughed.
Ryan looked down at her, a sparkle in his eyes. "Well thanks. That's always good to hear. Do you live with your family? Or in the mansion?" He glanced over at a piece of jagged metal that was lying on the ground under a bench. Strange... you don't see that often. He thought.(I'm going somewhere with that btw xD)
(xD Agreed)He nodded at her statement, then said, "Hang on," He let go of her hand and jogged over to the debris and picked it up. Turning it over a few times in his hands, he grinned, then asked her, "What's your favorite flower?"
"Just wait," He beamed. He touched his fingertips to the metal, his eyes sparking, his focus one hundred percent on the thing in his hands. The metal glowed white hot for a couple seconds, but Ryan didn't react. In about a minute and a half, the hunk of steel was a glowing orchid, white, and not the rusty red it had been before. Pleased with his work, Ryan turned, and handed Shale the flower, which was now also much lighter than before. "Here," He said.
(That's fine lol :)Ryan beamed, glad that she liked it. "Yeah, it is. Molecular manipulation. Basically, I can turn anything into something else, or shape it differently. For example, I can turn steel into gold, or rubber into glass."
Vee and Jax left the mansion right after Maria had arrived, she was disappointed that she didn't get to spend time with Daggers princess but she knew it's for the best if she wants to see her again at all. Strolling across the streets in silence they found themselves at the park, Vee looked up at Jax "Let's stay here for a bit" she said smiling. She was exhausted from the lack of sleep and Jax was unusually silent. She let her hand linger up his arm "Are you okay?" She asked worriedly. Their relationship was going so well now but she still is not so good at reading his mind and it frustrated her.
Jax stiffened but then relaxed, "I'm fine really." He felt the need to add the last word since his whole body was screaming that he wasn't okay. He shook his head to clear his thoughts and he was relieved that the chaos of his mind began to vanish. When only a couple of thoughts only maintained he turned to Vee with a smile, "Do you feel like you've seen the world for the first time? Because right now, with you, it seemed to be clearer." He told her truthfully.
She was listening to Jax scanning the ground for a dry patch of grass. When she heard what he said she turned looking at him, trying to figure out what triggered this thoughtful side of him "It feels the same way to me you know?" She replied not wanting to lose him to his thoughts again "Like all these places I've been to and all the things I've done before somehow seem different" she smiled shyly. She was never was one to express emotions unless it was anger, but she has to go with his mood for now. And it felt good for a change.
Her phone buzzed and she fished for it quickly, praying nothing bad news. It's a text from Hunter, which turned out good news actually.
*We've got a meeting with the security team heads of town at midnight, be at the meetings room in the mansion at 10 sharp to go over things.*
The message was forwarded to Stefan, Quin and Jax since he was fishing for his phone. She put it in her back pocket "Now tell me what got you all thoughtful?"

Jax took his phone out off from his jeans when it buzzed. He looked at it for a moment before putting his phone away. How odd that Hunter would send him this message. He thought he wasn't a part of this circle anymore but to get this was a surprise. He snapped out of his thoughts to answer Vee with a wistful smile, "Nothing. It just got me thinking that life couldn't get any better." Now that I remember you and all... He added silently. This thing between them was fragile and he couldn't afford to mess this up with his psychotic thoughts of negativeness.
He saw the way Vee's eyes flashed on him with some kind of emotion and he knew that his words hit a nerve. It was true though. Ever since he had woken up at that basement, got his memories back and fell in love with Vee all over again, it made him realized that his life is close to being perfect.

Vee beamed at how he sees life perfect where actually it was falling apart. "I know, I'm pretty awesome" she said teasingly. She sat on the ground and patted the grass next to her for Jax to do the same. She snuggled into him, the tree offering a nice shade from the sun. She felt him relax, the tension leaving his body so she changed position laying her head on his lap so she can see his face. Jax was still a puzzle to her compared to Hunter and Stefan, she can almost read then instantly, but with Jax, she still had to try hard to figure him out. "Remember when we first met?" She asked chuckling. It was the welcome ceremony and he was hitting on her almost as soon as he knew her name. But of course being Vee she got too drunk that the rest of that night was a blur. Her thoughts then drifted to how he acted later on, a hopeless romantic one moment and a phsyco the next. It was all because of June. "Jax" she whispered "Tell me about June"
Jax sighed as he felt the welcoming weight of Vee on his lap. This was truly a first with him in his life because his time with June was so short that they hadn't got the chance to do this: to relax and just talk. He turned to Vee as he brushed his fingers through her hair. Remembering that time with her in that welcoming ceremony was truly an amazing and memorable time. He didn't know what to do with a fun, carefree girl so he pretended to act aloof and unaffected by her which made him act that way whenever she's around.
He trailed his hand over her body until his hand was laid upon her waist. He needed to do this not only because of Vee but also for himself. "June...funny thing about her is that I can't remember anything about her except for her smile and the way she lit up my world even for a brief moment." It was true, for a short time he had know a taste of love is and that had been a fact which he would say to Vee.

Vee had mixed feelings about this June person, she was thankful that Jax was happy with her for a time but kind of jealous at the same time which doesn't make sense she knows. "Is it so horrible to be jealous of a dead girl?" She asked. Because she was jealous of June. Jealous that she's been Jax's first love. Sighing she continued "How did you meet her?" There was also the question when did Quin come into the picture, but Vee had a feeling Jax didn't know that part. Quin didn't say anything, but she remembered him bringing June up when he was trying to stop Jax from being with her. But she could swear the emotion that crossed his face that second was not just "knowing June" but she kept it to herself, she shouldn't be jumping to conclusions. "When did you fall for her?"
"I don't think so since she's bound to get jealous of you and she's dead." He told her with a smile playing on his lips as he tucked a stray hair behind her ear. Answering her should ease some of her jealousy so he did answer her as truthfully as possible, "I feel for her when she accidentally spilled coffee on me. I know, a bit cliche but that's what happened. With her standing so aghast, her beauty and compassion showed even through that small act." He whispered as he let that moment reply in his head.
It was a Tuesday morning and he was having a hard time getting out of the busy coffee shop. He was late for his job and this was the 3rd time to be late and he couldn't afford to lose his job right now since he was between bills. He should leave town and start anew but he liked this place. That's when something so hot splashed on his white shirt that made him shout. "What the?!" A terrified gasp entered his hearing and that's when he saw the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life.

(( Oh I haven't posted in a couple of days, Uni is screwing my life :'( ))
"It is a cliché" she smiled. She didn't know why she asked him about June, it only made her feel more jealous. She decided she didn't want to know more but secretly thanked June for making Jax happy if even for a little while. She kissed Jax softly lingering for a while "We should head back, I wanna sleep for a bit before we go on our saving mission" she knew she probably won't fall asleep but at least they can cuddle or something. Did she just think cuddle? Get a grip Vee! She told herself.

((same goes for me :( ))
"I think you're right about that." Smiling back at her with the same warmth she was giving him. "Anything you say, Vee." He can hear how Vee was acting on his word about June. A hint of jealousy was there and gratefulness(?) that made him think of how Vee was really like as a person if he didn't know her. She was compassionate with people, that he can see, under all that bluster and attitude.

She stood up brushing dirt off her pants "Okay mister let's go or you'll have to carry me all the way back" she said challengingly. She still wants to know more about Jax's life before her but not about June. She wished she could get a glimpse of him as a kid or a boy in school. Was he the smart kid? The bully? The loner? Her curiosity was fighting it's way through her exhaustion. The guy she's with now, is so different from the one she met a month ago, maybe even less. Their plates were full now though, she'll have to figure this out later when Stefan was safe.
Jax stood up and glanced at Vee with a laughter in his eyes. "I would still carry you around even if we don't go," and to fortify his words he picked her up like she weighed nothing in his arms. She squealed and he smiled widely as he surprised her. "What are you going to do now?" Their heads almost touching as he clutched her tighter so that she wouldn't fall.
Vee giggled like an idiot when he carried, she wasn't used to being treated like that and it felt nice for a change. She doesn't have to be the sex goddess, or demon since she's no goddess that everyone's intimidated by because Jax saw through all this bullshit. "Oh the list is endless" she said wickedly running a finger down his neck "But I think we should go home, or Hunter will live up to his name and hunt our asses down" she said giggling again. She never knew she could actually giggle before Jax, many things are changing so fast and she feared she might fall back.
((To the meetings room?))
((To the meetings room?))
He put her back on her feet again but not before stealing a kiss from her lips quickly. "I would like to those 'endless things' with you after the meeting then," he whispered wickedly close to her hear and he can feel her shiver as his breath warmed her. Being this new side of him was just surprising as Vee's reaction to his words. He wouldn't have thought Vee would giggle not once but twice in a row in front of him. He remembered a tough woman with steel as her backbone and maybe he wasn't the only one changing into a better person.
