Jason Pepper I really enjoyed reading some of David McCullough's histories of engineering. His books focusing on engineering include:
The Path Between the Seas,
The Johnstown Flood,
The Great Bridge, and there might have been some in
Brave Companions. I haven't read Americans in Paris yet, so that may have some engineering characters too.
