Avatar the Last Airbender Debate discussion

I'm just opening this topic as kind of a place to re-unite ideas, plots, characters and us of course! I've personally been super busy all year with a million and two things, one after another. I know that isn't really the best excuse, but I couldn't feel motivated to roleplay at all and eventually forgot about it. And then, I had a brilliant dream where I was sitting on a really nice beach and actually Dune, Ondryn, and Vaer came out of the ocean and told me they needed to find the hidden shell, so we were all looking for the hidden shell and I kept saying "You people look REALLY familiar" and eventually they told me who they were and I said "I totally forgot about the role play!!" And then it started raining and Ryka came ambling out of the forest with her timepiece and tapped it slowly saying "It's time!"
And then I was Harry Potter and my friend Robyn signed me up for the Hunger Games but I didn't have any socks and it was really cold, but that's besides the point XD

So yeah... I WAS busy, but I'm not anymore and I think that dream was a sign that we should start role playing again :-) because it's a REALLY awesome story, and I am really attached to my characters and feel bad just leaving them there suspended in time xD (I even named my goldfish Codai!)
So I made a post, which wasn't anywhere near perfect because I haven't role played or barely written anything since I was 15 (I'm 17 now) and I think the practice would be really helpful. I like writing, it's just getting motivated when I have so much else going on which is the issue. But for now my life is pretty static and stress-less and with the Canadian winter hopefully gone for good, I feel a lot more ready to write, yeah?
Anyhoo, I'm a little lost with some of the characters and don't really remember certain things... I figured maybe you guys might feel the same, so I made this in case anyone has any questions and we can sort of collaborate on what to do with what and all :-)

On another note, how have you been??

Yeah, I have questions. I don't remember ANYTHING. But I will go re read a bunch of stuff... :P .... I think one of my characters has a baby and one of them is evil... ._.

Does anyone remember why Ammos and Vaer are mad at each other?

Ammos and Vaer are mad at each other because they were really close and then Vaer ran away for three years. And Vaer isn't mad at Ammos, Ammos is mad at Vaer.

Do you happen to remember how old people are? Are the ages in the "chapter 3 characters" topic still accurate, or is it three years later or...?

Oookay... let's see. Everyone's gone back or forward through time because one of my characters (Ryka) is a timebender. She meant to send only herself and her companion through time but since she's not exactly well practiced, everything went haywire and ended up sending most people through different streams of time... does that make sense? So there are groups of people scattered all over history all trying to figure out what is going on... it's alright if you're still a bit confused, because so are your characters...
Your character Zarya (Avatar) is one of the few who didn't go back or forward through time. She remained where she was in the first place, though everyone around her seemingly vanished into thin air. Which was everyone she knew. She is currently sitting in a cave with two of my characters (Theia and Nyx) whom she's just met. Theia and Nyx have been looking for the avatar for years, to help her... so there's no conflict there.
Your character Fajra is with Codai, Vaer, Ammos, Sira, Archer, and possibly random people... they're in Troy's house at the moment but they're about 80 years in the past and Troy is not in their time line. Fajra is fine but she's angry with Codai.
Raelynn... I don't really know, since I only have one character in that group. She's with Aeros, her daughter Petra, Khana, Aaron? and a few others. Aaron (I think that's his name) is sort of their leader at the moment because he seems to know a lot about time, though I don't know why... he's really smart. Basically the most of them are trying to find each other and as Ryka (the timebender) continues to travel through time trying to find her childhood, time and space will keep malfunctioning, sending different people through different time streams until she realizes what she's doing and things get mended.
Basically... Andy might be better at explaining this.

((Okay... so I figure Pater and his minions are in some kind of forest by a canyon... actually remember that place in the actual series where there were the two rivaling clans and Aang had to bring peace and whatnot because the guide broke his arm and everyone was sneaking food in and they were attacked by giant... bugs? That's the scenery I see, without the bugs or the clans... Cyri was with them in my post so I assume the others are somewhere there too... I wasn't sure if they'd left or not. But I need Cyri for the demon plot thing, at least temporarily. Her friends could try to find her? She's in the spirit world right now, being held hostage because the demons think she knows Nyx, although if Nyx, Theia, and bad-ass fighter chicks team up, Zarya (who is with Nyx and Theia right now) could get them there and try to save Cyri while figuring out the Nyx/Korina plot. I think Korina's still alive... by the way, I also think all these people are currently in present time (as in they didn't move through time) but I need to figure out a way of getting Khana back there, so I need to separate her from the others at some point unless you have something planned for her. She can go back after, I just need her to have some sort of mending end to her dead sister plot so she can go back to being fun and less depressing and evil... as for Green and Blue, I have no idea where they are but Tondria (Ondryn) is with Ryka currently hurtling through time and space so who knows where they'll end up! Ryka is obviously trying to get back to her childhood but they might get separated at some point, and they still have to walk all the way to Ryka's old home... which I'm assuming isn't in any of the capitals since she's a time bender...))

My problem is I hardly even remember any of these characters and I'm not necessarily invested in them. My problem is I have a hard time taking on characters that technically aren't mine anymore. :/ The feeling has definitely passed for many, if not all of them.

Well you don't have to roleplay, no one is making you :-)

Oh I want to, just it would be easier for me to have new people. Start fresh I guess?

Or.... we.... could start over... like... I have no problem with doing that.
I mean I'm lost too... we could always keep the one going that IS going, and... start a new one as well? One where I won't feel so lost with my five billion and a half characters?

Plus we could do something cool or whatever and just start off not knowing who the avatar is... and it could be some sort of mystery...

Yeah, like have them not be one of us in particular. I vote to start over. It only seems logical, we are all quite new, why not have new people? :)

We're 152 posts into this one... some of those posts are really long or took a lot of time... It feels weird to just end it with so much happening. I agree with what you're saying sydney, that we're all quite new so why shouldn't our characters? But how do we continue this story without the characters who built it in the first place? I don't want to just leave them...

I don't have a problem with it if it's what everybody wants but I'm just saying.

I don't mind either way, but if you chose to continue the original I will keep myself from it. Though stay in the group and follow along occasionally.

I think it would be rather easy for the three of us to continue the one we're currently working on,
while we start another role play of just... the future. You know? We could just sort out what happened in the past and start fresh with a new one, and keep the old one going as well. Does that make sense?

Basically we're covering the story of two avatars in two different role plays.

One is Zarya's story with Sira, and Ammos, and Vaer and all of them. Oh and Troy.

And one will be the new avatar. Whoever that is. This avatar will be born like two hundred years after Zarya's story though since avatar's have long, looooong, lives.

hmmm ok i have some ideas :)
