Hi Robert,Something went wrong with downloading your book "Poems of a Common Man". It came only showing special characters from the keyboard (like $,,,,%#+!@, and so on). Do you think this was a one-time-only transmission mistake, or would everybody who buys your book get this messed-up download? You might want to check into this. -- About the WWII group: I found out that it is on facebook, and I am not on facebook yet, but soon will be. I am still struggling with the Goodreads website. -- Looking forward to your new books. Hope they don't come down like "$$$,,,;;;&!??%+&" again. -- My book will be in the making starting tomorrow. Hired a digital marketing specialist since I am such a computer-moron, and my husband -- while much better than I -- isn't exactly a computer-geek either. -- Lilo

You can ask me anything you like about what life was like in Germany during WWII. -- I was born in November 1939 and remember parts of 1940 (when I was a baby). I remember rather well throughout 1941 (when I was between 1 and 2 years old and we lived in Munich). In winter of 1941/42, when the air raids on Munich intensified, my parents voluntarily evacuated to the small town of Pfaffenhofen, where we squeezed into the 2-bedroom apartment of my two grandmothers (my real one and her sister, my adoptive one). The apartment was the upper level of a duplex, which was owned by a horrible Nazi. The SS-nephews of our landlady prided themselves with the brutal murder of Jewish children. Most people in the neighborhood were Nazis. We did not socialize with them. All of our friends were non-Nazis. When I was 2 years old, I told the daughters of one of the aforementioned SS-criminals that our family listened to BBC, only to learn shortly after that that this was forbidden under penalty of death. My family never learned that for the remaining 3 years of the war our lives hung on a thread. -- So, go ahead and ask me anything you like. (Don't be shy to ask personal questions.) It
won't be long, and there won't be any people alive to tell about this time. (By the way, my adoptive grandmother had once seen Hitler in person and kept telling about it.) Waiting to hear from you. -- Lilo Huhle-Poelzl
