Nichelle (tramble) | 5 comments Hey, All.

I am trying to find a book that features Mary Tudor, Queen of France and Charles Brandon in it's opening pages. I downloaded the sample to my iPad and a glitch erased everything. Cannot remember the title to save my life.

The sample chapters were told from the POV of a very young lady-in-waiting attending Mary after the death of the French King to whom she was wed. Charles Brandon arrives in France to take Mary back to England and Mary confesses to her young attendant that it's Brandon she wants to marry. She is granted permission by Francis I.

Not sure if Mary Tudor and Charles Brandon remain in the story. From the little I read it seemed as if the story would follow the young maid in France.

I believe the book is a recent publication. Can't remember the title or the author name. Does this sound familiar to anyone.

Appreciate any and all help.

Thanks.

Laura | 99 comments I'm not sure if this one matches and it is not a recent release but is available as a Kindle book. Mary, Queen of France. I'm pretty sure I have read the book that you are describing but this looks like it is the only close one in my list. If this isn't it, I'll keep looking.

Nichelle (tramble) | 5 comments Thank you for answering, Laura.

The book was a more recent title. I feel like I found it while researching Francois I but hasn't helped me to relocate it.

Appreciate your help.

Nichelle (tramble) | 5 comments I don't believe it was YA. Seem like the story might get a tad racy.

Thank you for trying to help me.

Susan (boswellbaxter) | 96 comments It wouldn't be Mademoiselle Boleyn, would it?

Mademoiselle Boleyn

This looks interesting enough to download but it's not the title.

Thanks for your help. Appreciate it.

Nichelle (tramble) | 5 comments Hello, All.

I found the book. It's The Last Boleyn by Karen Harris.

The book was originally published in 1983 which is why, I suppose, it didn't show up in more recent searches.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
