"Mumbo jumbo voodoo?" Riley repeated, trying to hide her queasiness with sarcasm. "Is that the technical term for it?" She asked. Her skin prickled and she shuddered against her will as the strangest sensation passed over her. The sensation passed and she froze. She sniffed the air and her wolf side tried pushing forward, she longed lope back home but knew that was impossible. Especially since she was a very long way from home now."Where are we?" She asked in a low voice and hoped that the Searchers didn't hear the fear there.
Jamie pulled open the front door and led Riley into the kitchen before taking her make-shift blidfold away. He took out more of his handy twine and wrapped it around her torse, binding her to the kitvhen chair he'd just sat him down in.
He smiled. "I don't do technical. We're at my home." Try anything funny, and you'll be dead." he said, walking to the fridge to get a bottle of water.
Taking a giant swig of fresh water, he sat down across from Riley, crossing his legs and studying her, chewing on his lip. "What pack are you from?"

Taking a giant swig of fresh water, he sat down across from Riley, crossing his legs and studying her, chewing on his lip. "What pack are you from?"
"What you don't know?" Riley asked sarcastically. Her hands were still bound and she was starting to get more irritable than scared. At least the ridiculous blindfold was off. He hadn't answered any of her questions so she decided not to answer his. It was the least he deserved, after all he had attacked her first. She had been minding her own business and he had kidnapped her, that didn't exactly provoke cooperative feelings in anyone let alone a Guardian. Her stomach rumbled and she felt heat rise in her cheeks but she pretended nothing had happened, hoping he would too. Not like she would trust anything he gave her anyway, he was likely to give her various substances just to see how they affected her. She leaned back on the chair and closed her eyes, wondering how long she could just pretend she was back home in Vail with her pack mates. She would probably never see them again, even if they didn't kill her they wouldn't exactly let her go either. Her only hope was that the Keepers would come for her but even that hope was slim. She was no one to them, not an alpha not even a beta. They had no interest in her and could replace her easily.
She was on her own in God knew where. And she knew that they were no where near Vail, whatever that sensation had been over her skin had changed the sounds and smells into something completely foreign. She had no idea where to go if she got free and that right there was one of the biggest 'ifs' on her mind. If she got free, if they would kill her, if they would turn her against her pack somehow, if they would experiment on her to try to find more effective weapons against Guardians. Tears welled in her eyes but she refused to let them fall, she deserved all she got if she was going to cry before even attempting to get free.
"Oi! Jaaaaammmmiieeeee!" The call came from somewhere else in the house and was soon followed by Alexandria poking her head into the kitchen, she had known Jamie had been out and she had hoped he might've gotten a pizza or something from Vail. Any sort of fast food really. Instead her question died in her throat and she stepped fully into the kitchen crossing her arms over her chest and frowning over in Jamie's direction. "Really? You brought back one of them, but not a burger or pizza?" Groaning she marched over to the counter, pulling herself up on it and sitting. Legs dangling she turned her attention onto the Guardian. "Since I take it you were conscious when he brought you in....why didn't you shift and rip off his face? I mean honestly what's the point of being a Guardian if you don't fight for yourself?" Raising a brow her bright blue eyes focused sharply on the girl, obviously Alexandria was a bit of an odd card. Sitting on the counter she let her shoulders slump, obviously looking relaxed....as though she didn't really think of the Guardian as a threat.
Jamie heard Alex calling for him, and he grinned. Her head peeked through the kitchen door and he waved her inside. "Well, I was in thr mood for a big meal." he joked, rolling his sage green eyes. "I figured if she's from the pack we're focusing on right now, we can get a little information." he told Alexandria, grinning.
He turned his face back to Roley as Alex spoke, rolling his eyes once more. A happy smile stayed on his lips though. "Hey, don't encourage her. I have a narly injury anyway... She's got a 'tude on her anyway." he said taking another swig on his water.
((Short poste, I know, but I'm studying for my History exam, so they'll be a bit short for a bit. :) ))

"What's the point of being a Searcher if you can't get your own damn food?" Riley said, mimicking the her tone of voice. She hadn't looked up or even opened her eyes when the new Searcher came in. She didn't give two shakes about what they thought of her and she was tired. Her wounds were still bleeding and sue was a little sore from where the man had jumped on her back. Her panic was gone, replaced with a sort of weary resignation. She would find a way to get away as soon as she could but she didn't see that happening anytime soon, especially if she didn't get any food or water.
"What's the point of being alive if you can't leave your own tiny city?" Alexandria retorted with a roll of her eyes, sure they could get food in the city. But the damned Guardians were like vermin....popping up everywhere. Smiling over at Jamie she nodded, "You should get any wounds treated.....and you should get her wounds patched up as well. She won't be much use to us if she bleeds to death or the wounds get infected." Shrugging she reached up into the cabinet behind her head pulling out a peanut carton. Cracking it open she ate a few of the salty snacks before raising a brow, "So......what's the deal missy? You got a name or do you want me to call you Guardian all the time?" Alexandria didn't care either way....but she was better at playing good cop rather than bad cop in any situation. Besides......knowing the girls name might be helpful later on if her packmates went looking for her.
"Tell me where I am first." Riley said, opening her eyes and leveling a stare on the woman. The man hadn't been very forthcoming with information plus he was the one who had kidnapped her in the first place. Her stomach rumbled again but she ignored it, choosing to focus on the Searchers instead of her empty stomach. She wished she had actually eaten the squirrel instead of just tossing it around but it was too late now.
Jamie nodded. "Oh, I know. We just got home." he scratched the dark scruff on his face and glanced at Riley, reaching over tp Alex for a peanut or two. "I'll let you clean her up, actually. I've already been accused of rape once today."
He made an outraged face at Riley, swallowing his snack before saying, "I told you! We're in my home. Me, and my dear wife here." He said, winking and Alex. While they were entertaining wolves, they always took up the fake appearance of a happy married couple, living in a home. But in fact, they both knew they were in a Searcher outpost.

Nodding, Alexandria paused and pushed her hair out of her face before shrugging her shoulders at the wolf. "Somewhere in North America, Guardian." Slipping off from the counter she smiled and set the peanut canister on the counter behind her before raising a brow at the female wolf, "Now I'm going to give you a choice. You can be the good little wolf and not run off or fight when I un-do those ties......or I can sedate you to be able to take care of those wounds. Sedating you means no food though......And if you do run or fight....chances are you'll end up sedated or dead. Make your choice, Guardian." Leaving the kitchen for a moment or two she returned with a black case, opening it to reveal a rather large needle. The only reason for the shot being so large was due to the fact that Guardian's burned through medication rather easily so their doses had to be larger than average. "Unfortunately for you, Guardian, we don't have an exact street address. Dirt road and what not...."
Riley snarled, "don't touch me." She'd rather take her chance with getting an infection- which was almost zero- than let them do anything to her. She was irritable, she didn't know where she was and the people holding her obviously thought of her as less than human. They weren't telling her where they were which mean one thing- nowhere near Vail. If they were near Vail she should be able to hear the same animals, see the same mountains, something should be familiar but there was nothing. So somehow they had transported her here in the blink of an eye...Her mind snagged on what the man had said and she looked between the two of them and tried to keep a straight face but couldn't manage it. She cracked up and couldn't stop laughing. There was no way the two of them were married. The very notion was more than laughable. It was downright hilarious.
She knew she probably shouldn't laugh, and that she was was probably a sign that she was cracked but she couldn't help it. When she calmed down and looked at them both and grinned crazily, "you're talking to a wolf here people. What do you honestly think my choice would be?"
Jamie shook his head, watching Alexandria go and gettheir shot bag. It was frightening- such a large needle and such a large dose of purplish sedate. He thought Riley was quite studpid for choosing that option. He didn't feel any sympathy for her at all. "I told you she was snippy." Jamie said.
The wolf started giggling, and his eyebrows knitted together. "What's your problem? Do you get off from huge needles?" he asked, his patience waning slightly. What did this wolf think she was? She wasn't an alpha, or even in the higher ranks. He wondered if her pack would miss her at all.
He glanced at Alex, an eyebrow raised. What was wrong with this little girl? He couldn't understand the way she was acting in the bonds of Searchers- the people who killed her people.

Riley started laughing harder, her stomach starting to ache a little. "Yeah that's it, they get me all hot and bothered." She said sarcastically. She collected herself and managed to stop laughing but couldn't stop the last couple of snickers that pushed their way past her lips. She watched as the woman approached her carelessly with a syringe full of purplish goop. She pretended to be relaxed but her senses were on full alert. When the woman was close enough Riley flashed her uninjured leg out and swiped the syringe out of the woman's hands. It flew across the room and shattered on the ground.
Riley looked at them both reproachfully, daring them to do something.
Alexandria looked over at the broken syringe and laughed a bit, "Oh Guardian, I hope you didn't think we only have one needle. With your kind it does best to be prepared." Shrugging she stepped back and then looked over at the mess. That irritated her though. The mess. Just looking at it started to get close to igniting her temper. Which was why she muttered something about going to get a taser before leaving the room and heading off to collect herself. Being around Guardians spiked her senses enough. When they made a mess? That just irritated her to no end. They obviously were well positioned in their role of being beneath Keepers. Belonging to the Keepers. It made sense.
"Of course I didn't think that, just wanted to see your faces when I did it." Riley said, the picture of innocence. She felt a cat-that-ate-the-canary smile spread on her face and she was sure they wouldn't appreciate it. Oh well. They had no use for her anyway so aggravating them while she could was an opportunity she just couldn't pass up.She felt an itch on her ear and rubbed at it awkwardly with her hands. Man she wished she weren't tied up. She really wanted to go wolf and lope home. Feel the wind through her fur and go hunting with her pack mates. She wondered if they had noticed she were gone yet. Probably not, most of her pack mates were a lot older and like Dash thought of her as more of a nuisance than a pack mate. Which stung most of the time but now? It cut pretty deep.
Jamie watched the whole exchange rather quietly after Iley retorted so well. He wasn't going to get into a wolf fight with a sixteen year old girl who was just a bit too snappy for her own good. He scowled as Alex approached her with the syringe, looking for anything funny from the Guardian girl.
As soon as Alex was ready to stick her, Riley jerked and kickedthe needle away. The disturbance caused Jamie to leap up from his chair, knocking it back onto the floor. "Alright, Wolf. I have no problem with force." he said.
He stomped over to her as Alex left the room, collecting herself anf blowing off her steam. His anger bubbled up in his stomach and he kicked Riley in the leg, where she was already bleeding. "It's time for you to shut up."
He went to the counter and quickly grabbed another syringe, walking to the girl. He wasted no time, shoving it into her arm, just above the rope that kept her hands bound. "Nighty night, brat. See you soon."
"Akex, she's out."

Bastard Riley thought groggily. Her wounds were mostly healed anyway, they just wanted to see her suffer. She would have made a crack about both of them having serious anger management issues if they couldn't even deal with one teenage girl without resorting to violence but she couldn't speak. She felt a growl build in her chest as her wolf took over. She slumped to the ground, her last thought before being pulled under was something along the lines of: I really, really don't like them.
At Jamie's voice calling out, Alexandria headed back into the house and then into the kitchen returning with some medical supplies to tend to the wound. Thankfully Guardians healed fairly quickly so it wouldn't take too long. Unfortunately Guardians were also stupid about their wounds, pushing their limits. Which was why she got to work quickly on cleaning the wounds and then binding up the rather large wound in the girls leg. "So what is she?" As in. What was her ranking.Finishing with the girl she knew the Guardian would be sedated for another 30 minutes at most, 15 at least. Turning towards Jamie she nodded towards his wounds, "Let me see." Heading to the sink she set about cleaning the supplies, obviously not one foolish enough to risk mixing the two blood types.
10 minutes later Riley forced her eyes open and clenched her mouth shut, feeling the urge to vomit. She looked around and tried to focus on her surroundings but her eyes were swimming. The Searchers were gone, or at least not in the room. Her legs were free so she got to her feet woozily. She took a few quiet steps towards the door, trying to stay on her feet. She lengthened her canines and started chewing at the enchanted rope around her wrists as she crept. She heard something coming from another room and she froze for a second before bursting into action and making a run for the door.
Jamie sat down and let Alex tend to his wounded leg before hell broke loss.
((Makin' room for JayLa. :) ))
((Makin' room for JayLa. :) ))
Riley made it out the door and was across the clearing by the time the Searchers had gotten to the room where she had been held. She was feeling pretty good but tripped on something and came crashing down, twisting her ankle as she did.She cursed loudly and clutched her ankle, hoping they wouldn't be able to find her just yet. She slowly moved her hands up to her mouth and started chewing at the bonds again. She finally weakened them enough to rip the apart and she almost cried out in triumph. At the last second though she remembered that they were probably still looking for her and stayed silent. She just needed another few moments for her ankle to heal and she could find a way to get home..... Hopefully.
Alexandria had raced into the room upon the sound of something and then frowned to see the door open and the wolf running. "You did not pick a smart wolf..." She muttered in the direction of Jamie before racing out through the door and off through the clearings and the trees listening intently for the sound of the wolf. Thankfully Alexandria always kept a gun on her person. Just in case and right now she was glad to have it. After all this wolf was running about! No doubt getting injured some more. "Come on out, Pup......." She called out to the trees frowning slightly as she listened. Honestly the wolf had to be nuts. Girl didn't even know where she was and yet she was running off? What would happen when she went back to the keepers? "oh I was kidnapped by searchers"....."And you escaped? You a regular wolf? Even when Alphas of the strongest rankings fall down dead to the searchers?"..... Yeah the wolf was just asking for a punishment by running off. Keepers wouldn't believe her for a heartbeat. "Idiot..." Alexandria growled out under her breath stepping lightly, her hand on the trigger it would only take a fraction of a second to pull it and send a bullet into the chest of anything that came running at her.
Riley shifted in her wolf and tested her ankle gingerly. It was tender and would probably buckle under too much strain but it would do. She set off at a slow trot, her ears swiveling and her mouth open so she could smell and taste the air for any hint of the Searchers. Her stomach growled she had to hold back a hunger induced whine. She steeled herself and decided to look for something to eat so her stomach wouldn't give her away.
Riley found a few rabbits and made quick work of killing them and eating them. She licked her muzzle and tried to put weight on her ankle. It was better but would probably buckle if she tried to run for very long. She lay down, putting her head on her paws. It was getting dark and she had no way of knowing where she was or if she could even get home. Or if she wanted to go home. The thought made her newly filled stomach quiver in fear. They would surely punish her for being caught and accuse her of helping the Searchers. She didn't want that and she couldn't think of a single person in her pack that would care enough to stand up for her. She let out a tiny, involuntary whimper at the thought of being thrown to the wraiths. Her ankle had healed by now at least. She looked up at the sky, she had three options. One: stay in the woods and try to avoid the Searchers. Two: Wander around and try to find civilization so she could get back home. Or option number three: try to find civilization and find somewhere else to go that kept her away from both the Searchers and the Keepers. At the moment she was inclined to go with option number three.
