Slenderman game is pretty tame in daylight with people around, but I would be really creeped out if playing alone in the dark. It's a really basic, repetitive game, not much replay value once the initial novelty wears off.
Unquestionably my favourite is Candle Cove:http://www.creepypasta.com/candle-cove/
It's so perfectly realised. I love the idea of someone innocently stumbling upon that discussion while browsing a forum about kids TV.
I actually took a shot at writing my own creepy pasta, which I thought was pretty effective, but frustratingly when I went looking for websites to submit to they all seemed to be dead and archived.
I've posted it to my blog: https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog...Been hanging onto it for over a year now thinking the opportunity to publish might come along, but still can't seem to find a suitable place, so might as well just put it up.
I always liked the practical, how-to guides that used to pepper the creepypasta forums (especially the ones involving mirrors), so this was my own attempt at creating something in that mold.
Plus... For all I know, it might actually work.
Really cool, there were a lot of nice elements to the story. I'd actually give it a try if it didn't require 40 minutes.

I love creepypasta. Candle Cove is definitely up there. Recently though I've been going through the entirety of http://www.scp-wiki.net , which is a treasure trove of awesome horror ideas.
Can someone please direct me to a good definition of creepypasta? I keep reading about it, but I honestly don't understand the term -- and I write horror! I obviously need to get up to speed. Thanks in advance --
Like Ann can someone please explain what "creepypasta" is... I've never heard this term used before....Thank You 🥴🤔🙄😬😳
Creepypastas are horror-related legends that have been shared around the Internet. Creepypasta has since become a catch-all term for any horror content posted onto the Internet. These Internet entries are often brief, user-generated, paranormal stories intended to scare readers.OK....now I understand!!!😀😄😆😉😌
Jonas - I love the backrooms!!! I would love to read a book that is about someone getting lost in the backrooms

Jules wrote: "Jonas - I love the backrooms!!! I would love to read a book that is about someone getting lost in the backrooms"for me it depends: I would like to read something about the early versions of the backrooms, from today's point of view not so necessarily
Agreed!! I think the closest I've got is House of Leaves. Also a short story called "Sonata for a Harp and Bicycle" in an anthology called "A Bundle of Nerves". There's a scene where one of the protagonists gets locked in a school and the way it's described is very backroomsy

Here are links to two of my personal favorites, one long and one short:
