Is the plan for this one mid-month or right after Fish & Chips??

Hi. Ooh I didn't see this one the other day. When are you reading Fish & chips?(I read that a few weeks ago) i'll work my other reads around the dates.

We are reading Fish & Chips on May 1st. We are trying to decide if we should go right into Divide & Conquer or wait until May 13-ish to begin book 4

Oh ok.I'm starting one on the 1st as well haven't got dates for my other ones yet.

No. We are starting Fish & Chips on May 1st.

No I know I meant i'll be starting another one that day as well so will probably finish around the same time if you decide to start the next one straight after. Either way works for me so i'll check back in when i've finished my book and see what's been decided.

AHHHH! I can't start this one yet - I have to read *grumble, grumble* almost 700 page book....and I still don't get to find out WTH Barron's is....
I'll try to squeeze reading this one in when I need a break from Mac and Barron's

I finished a few weeks ago. i liked it - you learn lots of background stuff.
I will have and soon from library. Not sure when I will start them

you will NEVER know what Barrons is. That is the only reason I kept reading that series even though I didn't enjoy it. But the author never revealed and Mac decided she didn't give a shit.

I didn't like the imbalance of power between Mac & Barrons. I just didn't like them.

After this book, there is another book , which has a couple of cops (partners like Ty & Zane) which feature heavily in , Kind of like a book 4.5. So I just bought Warrior's cross to read next (Tea from NBC clued me in :)

I got Warrior's Cross from Amazon. I read page one last night and stopped. I will wait for you guys to catch up because this one we need to discuss!

The ending of Divide and Conquer made me say "oh no!"

Freaking dudes take one step forward and two steps back. Are males really that inept with communication?

That tightlipped Zane is topping from the bottom. I thought Ty would be the one who would be a bottled up basket case since he was the marine with anger management issues. But Zane took up the role with authority.

At first, I was willing to think Zane was in shock...but after that, it was like he didn't care--but I know he did because he was having inner dialogue with himself. which series are you talking about Elishia? Warrior's Cross seems to be a standalone right now, not a series. Did you mean another series?

YEP. It's our 10 year marriage anniversary on May 23 so we are ditching the kids for a week. (I've never been away from my kids for 1 week. I am nervous about that, but my husband is so excited to leave them).

But it's just a week. Maybe one day we can have enough money and days off from work to do one of those Mediterrean cruises for 13 days

What do you think Zane was thinking about Nick?
he wasn't very articulate, at least to Ty about his feelings regarding Nick kissing Ty, Nick wanting Ty...

I don't think Ty needs the I Love You words even though he really wants it...but Ty needs the actions.
By Zane not letting Ty in, Ty feels like Zane hasn't given him complete trust and access, something Ty has made a big effort to give Zane.
Ty has let down a lot of his guards and doesn't hide around Zane anymore and he wants Zane to do the same, but I guess Zane hasn't reached that same comfort level---and that is why Ty is bugging out (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I agree I think Ty's really invested in this being a relationship but because Zane is being so tight lipped about his feelings and seems so skittish sometimes Ty is expecting to get hurt. I think they whole thing with Nick has made him think that there are people who would out there that would express their feelings for him more freely ( I don't think I explained that properly).

Zane seemed to suspect about Nick and Ty so you'd think that would make him at least tell Ty that he loved him, I also think he should of gone and had a word with Nick. That would of shown Nick and Ty that it did bother him, plus Ty probably could do with Zane showing his jealous now and then. (hide spoiler)]

So I started this tonight. I have to say the water ballon fight scene was pretty hilarious along with the texting scenes.

Then I do need to re read it because I thought he wanted to tell Ty but I didn't think he said it out loud...just in his head. I also recall Ty saying he felt like Zane loved him but hadn't said the words and it was okay for now.

Referring to Zane/Nick spoiler (view spoiler)[ here was my thoughts. Yes, Ty was jealous of Ryan ~ surprised in fact that he was jealous of Ryan but he also wasn't *upset* that he was jealous of him. He was ok with being jealous and when they got home Zane essentially told him that he absolutely had no reason to be jealous of Ryan as he had never even looked at him like that ever. For Zane it has always been Ty since they partnered up.
Now when you get to the Ty and Nick thing ~ personally I was pissed that Nick even did that ~ it was a shitty thing to do to a friend and if you think about it Nick is never gonna think Zane is good enough for Ty especially with the fact that he never really saw Zane and Ty in action and the fact that Ty shared that his saying I love you wasn't responded to. Yes - it would have been nice if Zane manned up at that point to tell him he was pissed over the Nick thing but lets think about this Zane (1)is always the one over thinking what he will and will not share/say with Ty because Ty is such a loose cannon & he doesn't want to upset him (2) due to his addictions and what he went through after he lost his wife he still doesn't feel worthy of Ty (3) he just found out that a guy that is his head he thinks is worthy of Ty just put out there that he has feelings for him....oh and they have a long history of having each others back and past experiences together (4) he didn't want Ty to think he was just sharing his feelings at this point due to finding out that Ty got kissed.
Quite honestly - was not happy that the authors put this in here - really these two have enough fricking problems relating that unrequited love from a non person so far in the scheme of things wasn't really necessary. I'm gonna be pissed if Ty goes off with Nick once Zane finally told him he loves him. Which for god sake Ty already knew!! (hide spoiler)]

I love that he finally decided on his own to attend AA meetings!! A step in the right direction.

(view spoiler)[ Ok the ending ~ OMG really. Ezi - you are so right two steps forward and how many back?!?!? First after they were stuck in that mausoleum together I don't think Zane should have let Ty go off by himself before the wake. He should kind of know by know that time in Ty's head alone usually isn't good. But I can't believe after Zane opens up to him he would leave. That was a big WTF momemt for me.

Back to an earlier part - Zane was extremely calm outwardly about being blind but he really wasn't calm about the fact that he may never see again. I can't even imagine it myself. However I didn't feel that Ty truly got what Zane was dealing with at all. I know that Ty really took good care of him during this time but he never asked him about it or got him to talk about it like Zane did with that one phone call to Deuce. (hide spoiler)]
