My name is Mark Allan Gunnells. I am a writer who previously has mostly published horror and fantasy, but I recently published a gay romance that involves time travel called THE EXCHANGE STUDENT. This seemed like a good board to be on.

Yum, time travel. I added your book to our group bookshelf, Mark, but you should take a look and add it to any appropriate sub-shelves.

Thanks guys, I feel embarrassed you're doing all my work for me. ha ha I need to get online more to help promote my stuff. It's not your typical time travel story, as it is set in an alternate reality where time travel is commonplace, to the point that it is regulated by the government. A 17 year old is accepted into the Time Exchange Program to travel to 1963 and spend a few months living there. He ends up falling in love with the 17 year old son of his host family. And if that wasn't complicated enough...there is also a possible terrorist threat to alter the timeline. For Nook folks, it is also available on B&N:

Mark, I just finished reading The Exchange Student and wanted to let you know how thoroughly I enjoyed it. I was emotionally involved with the characters, interested in the plot and just had a great time reading it. Without giving a spoiler, let me vaguely say that I was so touched and emotional by the ending you gave it. I look forward to reading more of your work.
This sounds great. I was an exchange student (not in time but to Brasil). I'm going to download it today!

Flying cars preferably. Jet packs. Even floaty skateboards!

Oooooh I'm still totally waiting for my George Jetson flying car. I mean it's 2013 already! Where is my flying car--and Rosie the robot maid. I want a robot maid, please!
Exchange student in a time travel program sounds like fun until someone f**ks oneself. Literally, I mean. You know, grandfather paradox? :)
I just recently read Robert A. Heinlein's short story "--All You Zombies--" (quotes and dashes are part of the title). I can't believe I never read this one before! What an amazing time travel paradox story. RAH's The Door Into Summer was always my #1 favorite time travel story until I read "--All You Zombies--" but now I shall have to read your story, Mark. I need inspirational material :)
