Non Profits Literary Program discussion

As you have been kind enough to donate to Dawn's very worthwhile program, I thought I would be safe asking for some help on this thread.

I am looking for a few more reviews on Amazon.com as I'm not confident that the four winners of my recent Giveaway will review the book. I'm needing half a dozen or so more reviews in order to be eligible for a Bookbub promo. If you like the sound of Revolution Earth, a thriller where an underdog takes on Big Oil, and would like to help with a review that would be great. I am happy to do the same for you and I post my reviews on GR, Amazon.com and Amazon.uk. The only genre where I am out of my depth is sci-fi and am not very familiar with ya/fantasy but will review all other genres. If I don't feel I can give a book more than three stars I don't review it - it isn't fair on the author.

Very much hoping we can help each other out.

You don't have to purchase a book in order to review - otherwise writers couldn't send out advance book copies to readers. Publishers do that all the time. I've always used an Avatar on Amazon so I haven't had the problem.

It does seem strange, Savannah as I post my reviews to both Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk. If I've purchased the book it will be from the .uk site - yet I can still post a review to the other Amazon site.

A while ago there was some examples of Amazon removing reviews from authors who were reviewing the same genres as they write in (in an attempt to stop some malicious reviewing and sock puppets) - but if you are a reader, I can't understand why you haven't been able to post!

Ah yes, now I see your problem, Savannah. You do need to have bought something from Amazon previously - doesn't have to be a book though... I have accounts with Amazon.com and .uk as I have previously bought from them.

My book is literary fiction, (some have called it historical fiction) and I can get a free e-book copy to you if you'll let me know whether you need Nook or Kindle.
