Me! I didn't think it followed the book as much as the other two movies respective to their books but I thought it still did a great job! I liked that it came up with an original scene with Lucy using the spell and it was not just well-made action but scenes that were kind of emotional as well.
Agreed. I thought the movie was terrific, and didn't drag like the first two did in places. The largely absent Peter and Susan helped as well, as I never liked how the actors portrayed them, either in the films or the BBC production from the 80s. It's such a shame production on the other films stalled, as Will Poulter's portrayal of Eustace was superb. Apparently they were going to film The Magician's Nephew next, and would no doubt have focused on how Jadis first came to Narnia.
Yes, I enjoyed both the book and movie. I liked the portrayal of Eustace. I can't wait to see if they plan to make more of these books into movies.
Yes, I love the movie. whenever my kids want to watch a movie I always suggest one of the narnia movies!
YEah I really liked it. I always thought it was a shame that the movies weren't successful enough to continue the series.
The spell part was my favorite!
I loved the movie too, but i didn't like how the four got split up. i loved the movie sooooo sooooo much!
The movie and book are amazing! I think they are the best out the series : ) I hope they're going to make another movie, with the same actors.

i think they will, look: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1223947/?...

I found it a little dull, though perhaps I've just grown too old for Narnia :( Better than Prince Caspian, though!
I loved the movie! I'm just sad that it didn't do as well as the other two movies. I really want them to make the Silver Chair and bring back Eustace but I heard they won't :-(
I just loved the movie..I hope they'll make another movie for the last book,I really love the book's ending..
Haven't seen it but want to see it. It was my favorite book though. I also want them to make a movie of The Horse and His Boy.
well, it'll be the best narnia movie ever!! well, in my opinion.
Voyage of teh Dawn Treader was always my fave Narnia book, so I was worried about the film, but ended up pleasantly surprised. The visuals were gorgeous and the ship sublime. I can see why they tweaked the storyline to give it more of an overarching story - Voyage of the Dawn Treader always felt a little bit like a collection of short stories to me - that could have ruined it, but I think it worked out well.
I noticed that with each movie they got less and less accurate. I hope the future moves will move out of that pattern.
Eustace was super funny! I was laughing really loud in the theater (I know, for shame on me).Yeah, like Korban said above, the movies got less and less accurate. I like the 2005 LWW movie the best; it wasn't all crazy, none of the characters seemed out of character (except maybe bossy Peter), and Lucy. Georgie Henley was an awesome actor for her; there's this innocence in her eyes that I bet Lucy would have if she was there. And how Susan acted, at first saying that it wasn't sensible and all of that. I hated the Susan/ Caspian paring in the second movie. And the fight with Peter. Very unlike him compared to the books, don't you think?
They could have done so much more with it than what they did. It barely followed the book and left out some of the best parts. The first two movies were awesome, but this one was a real let down, in my opinion. This was one of the best books in the series, and they did not do it justice.
I think with the amount of time they had to do with and the editing to make the film as short as possible for the young folks (though the film ended up being over two hours!) I think they did an admirable job. I mean they had to combine at least two of the islands they went to in the book into a single island and the change to put the sea creature with the "fear island" type of scene was pure genius! I feel there aren't enough fans that give this movie any credit in a positive way and that spelled the death to the franchise. It's probably why the franchise is currently gone in my opinion. Seriously out of negative critics fans have repeatedly said on the internet "if the new film comes out I will choose to not watch it anymore." I am sure the filmmakers caught wind about that as feedback about the decreasingly successful series and they have decided to call it quits. It's a real shame. :(
My fav of the books (if that's possible) and yes, I liked the movie.I have to agree with another post and say that the fight was unlike Peter, though Susan did tend to flirt in the books I don't remember any mention of her ever doing so with Caspian. I'm still counting down until The Magician's Nephew.
I loved the book, so when I heard there was going to be a movie of it, I was very excited and worried. As a movie by it self, I thought it was very good.
As a movie based off of a book, I thought it was just ok.
I was very surprised by how easy it was for me to watch the movie as a movie(instead of a movie based off of a book).
Over all I thought it was a good movie, but I liked the book better.
I loved both. But I don't like the movie so much anymore because the plot became too different from what Lewis planned for it to be.
Korban wrote: "I noticed that with each movie they got less and less accurate. I hope the future movies will move out of that pattern."So true sadly... I want to re do all the failed movies now... The Lion The witch and the wardrobe is the best by far, it followed the book almost exactly.

I can see why they twe..."That was actually my favourite thing about Dawn Treader, the random little adventures. I liked exploring all of the different islands.
I enjoyed the movie. However, I wish they had come up with a better villain than some random green mist that shows up out of nowhere, for no specific reason.
I enjoyed the movie; I don't think they needed the mist, but I understand why they must have felt it was needed. An island hopping book like The Dawn Treader is not an easy story to make into a film, and I thought they did as good a job as could be expected.
Victoria wrote: "... I never thought of that! Now I like the movie even more (even though I still thought it was already pretty great). So out of that in a small way it took the small tales in a collection in the book and made it a full narrative of a story in the film. It kind of made a little improvement over the book.
I loved the Voyage of The Dawn Treader, it is the Narnia film I watch the most often. I really enjoyed the first two but I thought that the actor who played Eustace really lightened up the film and I have always had a soft spot for Reepicheep, ever since I read the books! The relationship between them made for some hilarious moments!
I didn't. I was actually really disappointed. This book is one of my favorites in the series, and it was just far too inaccurate for my taste.
The movie was really fake, I think because it was a different director. All the fight sequences looked like they wee choreographed and like they were dancing. Stunt doubles were noticeable. There was a lot less violence between this movie and the prince Caspian film. Plus the character Caspian speaks in an English accent all of a sudden, I thought he was a telarmarine! All through the second film he was talking in a Spanish accent!!But this is my favourite book out of the series! but the movie is a huge let down.
I like how they showed the characters, but I'd say 50/50 for the actual movie. Also, I went and saw it in 3D, and only 2 things popped out.
I hope they're going to make another movie, with the same actors."
I saw on Narnia's Facebook page that they are beginning to work on the Silver Chair...I was so excited when I saw that, I own every one of these movies and books, they're just awesome!

I thought the movie was okay, but I think that they should have kept the original plot. (And not added the green mist of Evil, magical swords, etc.)
Book was way betterThe film had changed directors so it was really different
Like there is a close up of lucys
Stunt double, the fighting is really crap, caspian had a spanish accent in the film before now he has an english accent what the hell is with the swords?!?! Andrew adamson this must have been a huge let down. Nice boat btw it looked fake
"The film had changed directors so it was really different"I didn't know that it had changed directors. That explains a lot of the differences between this movie and the other two.
I loved the book AND the movie. This movie is one of the only ones I know that is equally good to the book. :)
Leonard Mürgin wrote: "I noticed that with each movie they got less and less accurate. I hope the future moves will move out of that pattern."I agree. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe followed the storyline almost exactly, while the Dawn Treader changed the whole plot. ( The "green mist of EVIL" and the seven magical swords, etc.)
