Actually, it's like you will be the one to re-write the scene. (Plus, it's been a while since I read Inheritance, so I can't really remember the details *sheepish*)
Book: InheritanceAuthor: Paolini
Scene: Nasuada is kidnapped by Murtagh for Galbatorix
Nasuada lay curled up in her bed, her waking dreams keeping her from hearing the muffled sounds of an army and the voices of two tipsy friends singing in their own tent. Until the swish of her tent flap opening tore her from her dreams.
Her eyes flew open as her hand slid slowly to the knife hidden beneath her pillow. Her fingers curled around the hilt as she turned her head in a slow, sleepy manner so she could just see the faint figure in her tent entrance.
Through the tiny slit between her eyelids she saw the glint of steel and a gem glimmering in the stranger's hand. A dragonrider's blade.
"Eragon?" she asked, confused by his presence at such a late hour, and worried why her guards had not announced his presence.
"Now what," he asked in a voice far too dark to be Eragon's, "would my baby brother be doing in your tent so late?"
Nasuada's heart froze in her chest and her breath stuck in her throat. She saw one of her guards' bloody body lying in the dirt near the entrance, and she tried to swallow her terror.
"So Galbatorix has finally sent his dog to come kill me?" she snapped.
Murtagh chuckled darkly and stepped closer. "I see your wit has not dulled since I last saw you. But you are wrong, Galbatorix does not want you dead."
Nasuada swallowed again, her throat suddenly very dry. "Then what," she croaked, "do you want me for?"
"What I want is not in question her, Nasuada. As you said, I am only a dog. But a smart dog nonetheless that knows you well, which is how I know you clutch a knife in her right hand that you so cleverly his under your pillow."
She opened her mouth to reply, but he was across the room in an instant with the sword against her throat and his hand wrapped in her moss-like hair.
"Come now and no more harm will come to you or your people." he whispered.
Nasuada glared up at him as thoughts blazed through her head.
"And before you decide, remember that Thorn waits to burn every last grain of your food supply if you do not come."
She nodded quietly, her only hope now was that Eragon was close enough to save her.
Murtagh dragged her out of the tent and across the camp towards the woods. As they passed by Eragon's tent Nasuada's last nerve finally broke and she screamed at the top of her lungs.
Then the hilt of Murtagh's sword came down on her head and all was dark.
It's okay. It's really good! >.< I've never read anything as epicly awesome! (Probably cuz I haven't read any NasuadaxMurtagh pairings, and this is just...SO TWISTY!!!! >.< )
Thanks! I really adored these two, and I was rather annoyed when Paolini decided to put this scene in Eragon's POV (although the tipsy Arya scene was wonderful)
Book: Inheritance
Scene: Eragon says goodbye to Arya before he sails away
D-O:
Eragon: Arya, I have to go. To protect the dragons.
Arya: I understand.
Eragon: I love you Arya. I hope you know that.
Arya: I love you too. (anguish)Why can't you stay?
Eragon: I have to go.
Arya: Please.
Eragon: I'm sorry.
Arya: (comes to a decision) Then I'll come with you.
Eragon: (suprised) Really?
Arya: We've come too far to part now. I'm coming.
Eragon: But what about Nasuada? Your mother? Alagaesia? Would you really leave all of that for a boy not even half your age?
Arya: (looks at him straight in the eye) Yes.
Eragon: ... Thank you.
And so, they set sail.

I know...but anyone could say this whole Arya/Eragon thing needs to happen. He's got to have hordes of fans telling him that from the first book!
tru. it might be just my taste of books, but i just somehow felt that Eragon was still too darn arrogant, even to the end. He was just so...self-centered and full of himself!
Well he was kind of like that, although I do think he really wanted to stay in Alagaesia because his entire family and friends are there (plus Arya is too and it would've been easier to see her) and he gave that up so he could teach the dragonriders in the hope that Galbatorix wouldn't happen all over again. And am I the only one that thinks in a few decades when the whole "Murtagh was a horrible person!" hype calms down with the common people Murtagh could come back to help teach?
Actually, I was thinking more like Murtagh would go back to Nasuada. I think that they both have a sort of thing for each other, and I would love for them to get together. Then, Arya would be able to go to Eragon and help train the new Riders.
