Ali was leaning over the bridge, head in her hands, her elbows scraping the surface top of the bridge, she looked at the water trickling down, lost in thought, she wouldn't cry....she wouldn't...she was done with that, if only her friend dani was here.....no! Why was she so selfish!? Ali was rude to her friend by deserting her, she didn't even know where dani was, and Ali didnt blame her if dani never wanted to talk to her again. What was she doing? Did she even belong in the Silvermoon pack? She didn't ever want to answer to anybody, how could she become part of a pack, she was lost, what would her parents want? If only her mission was as simple as the waterfall before her.
Adam had been looking for a place to clear his mind, and the bridge not far away from his house seemed like the perfect place. He had hoped no one else would be there, but wasn't surprised to see another as he walked up to the spot. He wasn't the only one who knew the spot, and it was too beautiful to keep to himself anyway. He pulled the earbuds from his ears, silencing the sound of AWOLNATION as his feet carried him closer to the stranger. As he neared where she stood, he slowed his pace, coming with caution. He could tell she was a wolf, and you never approached an unknown wolf too fast. "Hi," he announced himself, shoving his iPod into his pants pocket.
(Sorry rhian Horan! Me and Abigail were already planning on posting here, I can make another character and rp if you want?)Ali jumped at the sudden noise, he came so quietly, she shook her head and got settled quickly "hi." She smiled lightly.
((You want them to be mates? :))
((Yeah, sorry Rhian!)) Adam saw her jump slightly, and was sorry he scared her. "Apologies. I didn't mean to startle you," he told her, shoving his hands into his pockets. Her dark hair shook out as she rattled her head, gaining her bearings again. He took in her appearance as she stood in the sunlight. Her eyes were a startling color of golden, and he was somewhat shocked by their intensity. He recovered quickly though, adverting his eyes to the water that ran below the bridge. "If you'd like to be alone, I could go," He said, not wanting to intrude. She looked troubled, and he wasn't great on socializing. But he didn't particularly want to leave.
((Let's rp them both for a bit and we can see! :D ))
"Oh your fine." She said she took a side look at him, and she got lost in his brown eyes. She sighed out a breath she didnt know she had been holding in "no, you don't have to go." Ali said, she was actually happy for some company, but didnt want to admit it, she was lonley, but she didnt want to be that girl who was a mess and went crying to everyone, so she found a place even more deserted, hoping someone would find her, and someone has, and she didnt want him to go just yet.((Okay :))
Adam nodded and stepped closer to the bridge's side so he could easily see the water falling from the rocks that were piled below the bridge. It was a beautiful site, and not one he got to see often with his aunt's controlled grip on his life. He'd been able to get away that day, only because she was working and would never know he'd been away from home. He relaxed when she told him that his leaving wasn't needed. He didn't usually like big crowds or loud people, but here was neither. Just a quiet bridge with an even quieter girl. He ran a hand through his messy hair, and cursed himself, realizing that it might have been a good time to tell her who he was. "I'm Adam. And you are?" he asked, looking over at her.
Ali smiled "Rosalie, but you can call me Ali, if you want." She said, and then she thought for a moment, and decided to in fact do it, she grabbed tightly on the bridges ledge, that was wet and slippery, and climbed up, putting her feet firmly on the ledge and standing up, she then turned to Adam "nice to meet you," she smiled,
Eyebrows furrowed, Adam never considered a girl named Rosalie would be called Ali. People named Alexandra and Anastasia were called Ali. Although, he'd never met anyone named Rosalie, so he decided he wouldn't know what the nickname would be. "Alright, Ali." he said, chewing his lip thoughtfully. It was times like these he wished he was more talkitive and less arcane, but he wasn't. He didn't wish otherwise very often, but he couldn't deny that the girl before him was quite pretty. "Whoa," he said as he was drug from his thoughts to the sight of Rosalie raising herself up, stadning bravely on the bridge's railing. He glanced from her to the water below, suddenly becoming aware of the long distance between the two. There were rocks jutting from the poll below too, and he raised his gaze back to her. "Do you have some sort of suicide wish, or something?" he asked, not realizing the harshness in his tone until after the words were out. He reconsidered quickly. "You could fall'" he told her, his voice gentler than before.
Ali watched at Adam, seeing he was deep in thought. She let all her her concerns leave her, as she looked at Adam, sure he wasn't very talkative, but she wasn't really either....we'll thats a lie, she was talkative, but only around talkative people. Ali sniffed the air...silver moon... Hmmmm.,....Ali closed her eyes, and spread out her arms, when she herd his voice, she laughed "no, just a freedom one." She smiled, "me fall? I guess that could happen." She raised her eyebrows, testing him, and pretended to slip.
((I don't think I want them to be mates, but they could date if that's good with you!)) Adam watched her closely, tensed at the slippery surface she was now so easily balancing herself on. The muscles in his back tightened as she spoke. He'd never seen someone throw themselves in dangers way like that, although he knew he'd done it many times. He walked closer to where she was standing, craning his neck to watch her raise her elegant eyebrows. He gasped as her feet slipped and lunged forward, grabbing her hands, letting his wolf speed control his actions. He closed his fingers around hers and pulled her toward him, loosing his own feeting in the process. He tumbled to the ground, pulling her off her slippery slope and onto his chest.
((Sorry it took me so long!!))
((Okay :))She gasped as the sene quickly unfolded before her, his hands gripped hers forcibly but gentle and warm, she was on top of him in an instant, yanked from the ledge, "are you alright?!" She asked concerned
(Its all good :))
((Woot!)) Adam hit his head quite hard on the bridge's wooden floor, blurring the image of the girl atop him for a moment. He groaned slightly, the sound rumbling low in his chest. His sight cleared, letting him see Ali's face looming over his, her hands on is chest, palms flat. Her hair tickled his collarbone as he gained his bearings again. "Yeah, I'm good'" he told her, sliding the hand that wasn't resting on her curvy hip to cushion his bruised head from the hard bridge surface. "Are you okay?" he asked, wondering if he should make any move to get up and end their closeness. In the end he figured that if she wanted to move, she could, and if not, he'd just lay there as he was now.
Ali looked at his eyes concerned, his eyes went unfocused and refocused. She felt a little dizzy, and knew that he couldn't be doing to good, "im fine, but you might have a concussion, you need a healer...or something..." She noticed his hand on her hip, she didn't want him getting up to soon and hurting himself anymore, she didn't really want to move either.
"A healer?" he scoffed, shaking his head. "I don't have a concussion. Just a bruise, I'm sure," he assured her, sliding his hand away from his head, he glanced at his fingers. Each calloused fingertip was stained red with the blood he now felt warm at the back of his head. Well then... She might have been right! He sighed in annoyance of his injury. She was the one on the bridge, slipping off, and now he was the one bleeding. How did it happen?! He bit his lip and looked back at her. "Well... I guess a healer would be nice, actually. Or just the clinic." he said softly. The idea of leaving to go let a doctor tell him to take some tylenol and having his aunt freak out when she found out he'd hurt himself wasn't appealing. He shook his head once more and gave Ali a different answer. "Why don't we just got back to my house? I'm sure my aunt wouldn't mind you being there. I can take care of it myself." he told her, trying to make it sound much more nice than going to a healer. "It's not very far from here at all."
Ali freaked when she saw blood "oh! You are hurt! This is all my fault!" She said getting off of him,a little dizzy. She was a horrible person, she tore off a piece of her jacket and knelt down behind him, putting the torn piece under his head. "No healer? Okay...." She said doubtingly, "I might not be welcome on pack lands.....but lets give it a shot, its not far? Lets go right away then! Can you stand? You can lean on me for support if you need to." She was overreacting probably, but this was her fault, she should have fallen into those rocks, instead of him having a head injury
((Wait wait! I'll move his house off of pack land to the city or something! :) )) Adam took a deep breath as she rolled of him, her eyes wide and her voice panicked and louder than before. He smiled, thinking it was cute that she'd been so concerned since their fall had happened. "No, it's not your fault, Ali." he said, standing up after her. His head swimmed at the sudden motion, but he still blushed as she tore her jacket. He didn't need such specail treatment. He blinked, thanking her politely, just as his aunt had taught him. "Yeah, we can go. Good news, it's not on pack land! She's at work, but she might get off early." he said, looking over at her. He grinned wider, lightly chuckling at her reaction. "Hey, it's okay. I'll be fine. Let's just go get an ice pack." he said. She offered him her body to lean into, but he shook his head, taking her hand instead. "Just don't worry." he said, trying to calm her. He didn't feel very good, but he didn't want her to worry. He began to walk, holding the torn fabric of her jacket to the back of his head, letting it soak up the slow flow of blood that was matting his dark hair in clumps and stickiness.
((I'll post the link here after I've moved it!))
(Okay :))But it was her fault, Ali knew, she faked the slip, not thinking he would take it literally, she held his hand, worried about him, nodding "lead the way." She was overreacting and he found that humorous, so she smiled softly, hoping he'd be okay, slightly scared what his aunt would think of her.
((Okay :))
Talen was running through the woods in his wolf form when he came across the old bridge. It was been around for longer than he could remember...which considering that he moved here two years ago wasn't saying much. The Silvermoon pack had become his home, though he missed his birth pack everyday. He still felt useless for not being able to defend his family, though he supposed it was harder on Preston than any of them.
Everest was on the bridge, swinging her feet back and forth. She sensed someone heading her way and tensed, ready if it was an unwelcomed party. Her hair swung down her back as she turned and stood up, awaiting the approaching wolf.
Lifting her nose to the wind, Everest caught the wolf's scent. It was foreign, but whoever it was definitely belonged to the Silvermoon pack. Taking it as a good sign, she calmed down a bit and awaited the fellow pack member with raised eyebrows.
((I'm working on my Enigma charries so my replies will be late-ish. I'll try to be as quick as I can though :)))Talen came to a halt, there was someone on the bridge. He sniffed the air...Silvermoon, instantly he relaxed, he trusted his packmates. Without a doubt. He trotted closer to the source of the scent, though it was Silvermoon there was an underlining smell that he had never smelt before. Strange, very strange indeed. A girl, around his age, came into his vision, she was one of the most beautiful girls he had ever seen. His wolf wholeheartedly agreed, wanting nothing more than to get closer to her, but Talen didn't. He had no wish to scare her off.
(( Sure thing;))
Everest's eyes widened slightly as her eyes came to rest on a guy. A very handsome guy she might add. Approaching him slowly, she tilted her head to the side. She could smell something on the wind, a very intoxicating and irresistible smell that seemed to be emanating from the guy. Everest let it slide as an expensive cologne. She let a grin slip through her façade and she waved a little. "Hey stranger. I'm Everest, a fellow pack mate." Her melodious voice rung through the forest, almost echoing somehow.

((He was in wolf form, but we'll say he shifted and threw on some clothes before approaching her?))Talen watched her expressions in silent amusement, he had to say he wasn't used to a girl...or anyone for that matter looking at him with that expression. People usually reserved those looks for his older brothers, but not him. He needed to admit that he was liking the change, especially since it was her gazing upon him that way. Albeit he wasn't sure why, there just seemed to be something about her, but he chalked it up to shock on his part. Everest, his eyes widened, "I'm Talen..." He was speechless beyond that, funny how they had just run into each other like this.
((Yes, that would be a good idea;))
Everest's eyes widened, remembering the strange boy from the pack link. "Talen? What a coincidence." She laughed and sat down on the edge once again, gesturing to the spot next to her for Talen to sit. "Isn't it beautiful." She murmured and shut her eyes, once again breathing in the fresh scent of her surroundings. She also got a good whiff of the intoxicating cologne he was wearing. Everest returned her gaze to him, smiling sweetly.

"Yes you are..." Talen murmured without thought, only to have his face turn a slight shade of scarlet when he realized what he had said. "Uh, I, um..." He cleared his throat to prevent himself from choking, "I mean, yes, yes, it is beautiful..." He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment, of course he would make an idiot blunder like that. "Do you come here often?" Talen asked in an attempt to save face, only to mentally scowled himself when he remembered that she was new to the Silvermoon pack.
Everest giggled at his comments, leaning back on the palms of her hands. "You're very sweet." She remarked, seeing a slight blush creep up his neck. It wasn't weird, for some reason it just added to his attractiveness. "And no, but I plan on doing so." She grinned, and played with a strand of her brownish hair. Everest's eyes roved Talen's features, searching for any imperfections and failing. There was something strange radiating from him that made her just want to hug him. But that would be weird.
Talen looked at her, a smile graced his lips he liked the fact that she didn't make a big deal out of his words. "Thank you." He replied softly, and moved to sit beside her, dangling his legs off the side. His eyes cut slyly over to her, he was taken in by her simple beauty. It was simple because she wasn't even trying, which he liked about her. "I've been here a few times, but now I think I've found a reason to get out here more." Beside I might run into you...that's what he was thinking anyways.
A pink blush spread over her cheeks as she saw the hidden meaning in his words. "And what reason would that be?" She grinned, scolding herself for the rapid blush that was setting her face aflame. Everest shifted slightly, the gravel had been digging into her palms. Gently, she brushed her hands together and watched the little rain of pebbles fall into the water below. Her green eyes returned to Talen's and she admired his good looks. He seemed like the kind of guy who didn't really take much care in his looks, and Everest found that strangely attractive.
Once again, the strangely appealing scent drifted it's way up Everest's nose again and embarrassingly, she caught herself subtly sniffing Talen. She probably seemed like some sort of pervert now.
((Just put up part one for Ace :D))Talen gave Everest a sexy side smile, "For the view of course..." He teased her lightly, going around the answer that she seemed to want. At the sight of her blushed his grin became wider but he didn't remark upon it, as she didn't comment when he was the one in her stead. His gray eyes followed hers as they watched the pebbles hit the surface of the water below, feeling her gaze fixated on him he glanced at her. She was mesmerizing, and suddenly he felt guilty. He shouldn't be thinking things like that about someone that wasn't his mate. As...girly as it made him sound he had been waiting to find her since he found out about mates. So the feelings he seemed to have for this girl he barely knew was strange, however they didn't feel wrong to him.
((I saw - he's soooo yummy xD))
Everest was blown away by his sexy smile. She blinked a few times, trying to register the fact that the smirk was for her, not for another girl. Guys didn't usually like her, let alone flirt with her. It's happened before, but had never gone for this long. Her long fingers tapped together, her nervousness showing slightly. "So... have you found your mate yet?" She asked uncertainly, knowing it was a delicate question for most wolves. Finding a mate was everything Everest has dreamed of, but unfortunately it hasn't happened quite just yet.

Finding a mate was everything Everest has dreamed of, but unfortunately it hasn't happened quite just yet.
((Thank you!))Talen frowned at her question, it only seemed to make his guilt increase. He wasn't like other guys, like say his brother Shane, he didn't have much of a past with girls. He always felt as if he was betraying her in someway, despite the fact that he hadn't even found her yet. He rubbed the back of his neck, removing his eyes from hers, "No, I haven't found my mate yet..." He wondered if she had found hers, the thought sent a pang of jealousy throughout his body.
For some reason, the tensing in her muscles relaxed as he spoke. Everest was glad, in a way, that he hadn't found his mate because personally, it made her feel sick to the stomach. She didn't know why, but it did. "Me either." She relented, looking up into Talen's eyes. They were very capturing, and drew her in more than anything. "So... what do you do for fun around here?" She smiled, trying to lighten the mood. She had already explored every inch of the territory, but wanted Talen's opinion of it all.
It was silent, apart from the chatter of birds on the wind. Strangely, the intoxicating scent was drawing her closer to him unconsciously, Everest's eyes delving deep into Talen's.
Talen felt a rush of relief when she confessed to him that she hadn't found her mate either. His wolf was thrilled as well, pushing Talen to get closer to the strange girl that had seemed to bewitch him. He refrained, though it took nearly everything that he had to stop from grabbing her hand, or brushing the loose strand of hair from her face. Talen didn't quite understand the pull that he felt for this girl, for Everest. The wind blew around them causing her hair to move further into her face, her perfume overtaking the air surrounding him. It left him breathless, normally he disliked perfume...though it was mainly because girls drenched themselves in it. Everest's perfume, howbeit, was intoxicating...like every scent that he had ever enjoyed rolled into one. His wolf began pushing harder, as if he were trying to claw his way to get out to her. That made Talen frown, perhaps Everest wasn't safe around him...the mere thought of her in any danger caused him to panic. Finally he couldn't take it anymore and he softly pushed the hair in her face behind her ear.
Everest completely froze as Talen's hand brushed across her forehead, leaving a trail of pleasurable tingles. She wasn't an idiot- she knew what tingles meant. Her features froze in shock, returning Talen's gaze. In that moment, she couldn't have been more happy with who she turned out with. Slowly, she took his hand in her trembling one and held it in her fingers, trying to let him know that she accepted him. Everest let the little word escape her mouth, and it felt so right to say it to him. "Mate." That simple word was enough. The intoxicating scent radiating from Talen and her unnatural draw towards him made sense now. When she was around him, a sense of completion filled her.
As the sparks danced across the tips of his fingers Talen was at a loss for words. He couldn't even begin to explain the rush of emotions that flooded his body. Pleasure, the fact that he had finally found his mate was like a wish that had finally come true. Fear, that he would somehow mess it up, or worse fail to protect her like his old pack. It didn't matter that he had been too young to know how to defend himself well enough. He should have fought...should have tried to save his parents. At least that's how part of him felt, the other part knew that he would have been killed if he'd stayed. Which meant he would have never met Everest, and that was a thought too painful to bare. He shook his doubts away, he had just found his mate he needed to focus on her not the past. He smiled as she held his hand in hers, then beamed when she whispered the word mate, "Mine..." He softly replied in agreement, while moving closer to her.
Feeling his emotions radiating off him, Everest wrapped her arms around Talens waist, burying her face in his chest. For so long she had waited for her mate, hoping that he would love her and her sister. Here he was, in the bone and flesh and Everest could not be more happy. A tear of joy escaped her eye, staining Talen's shirt a darker shade of what it already was. His touch made her feel at home, and loved. The Everest felt in that moment was undescribable, but she wanted it to last forever.
The grin that appeared on Talen's face was nothing short of pure happiness. Her scent...well everything about her calmed him down in an instant. He pulled her closer into his arms, loving the way that she seemed to fit into the perfectly. When he felt a slight wetness on his shirt he pulled back, she was crying...concern filled his body. "Everest? Are you okay? What's wrong?" He couldn't help the panic that entered his voice, he didn't like that she could be upset in anyway. As her mate it was his job to make her happy, to feel loved, and he planned on doing just that.
"No, I'm fine. It just... I've waited so long to find you." She murmured and twined her fingers behind Talen's head. This is what mates were supposed to do, wasn't it? She stared deeply into his eyes, searching for a sign of understanding. The forest surrounding them was silent, as if watching the werewolves understand each other. Everest's hair was drifting slightly in the wind, some of her bang escaping the bobby pin.
A small smile came across his face, he couldn't agree more. He had waited so long to find Everest, and she was well worth the wait. He couldn't get over how perfect she was for him, and considering that he only actually knew her name...well it was crazy. But that's what finding your mate was, it was finding that one person that completed you. The one that you would spend the rest of your life with. That's why Talen didn't understand why most male werewolves chose to 'date' before finding their mate. It's not like it was going to be serious, when you found your mate no other girl would ever matter to you that way besides her again. He kissed her forehead, "Good. I'm glad your not upset...I'm happy that I found you Everest."
"Me too." She beamed, blushing as Talen kissed her forehead. Even though they had just met each other, it felt completely natural to be in his arms like this. It was what mates were supposed to do, supposed to be. Gently, she rested her head on his shoulder, loosening her grip around his neck. Just being like this made Everest feel completed - made her feel loved. "So, um... what happens now?" She asked, pushing back her falling hair. Everest knew what happened when you first met your mate, but she had no clue about what comes next.
Well it was obvious to his wolf, he didn't want to let Everest out of his sight. Which meant one thing...moving in together. Howbeit, Talen wasn't sure how she would feel about that, heck, he wasn't even sure of he felt about that. Was it normal for mates to move in with each other right after meeting? Honestly, he wasn't sure. His parents died before they got the chance to explain that part to him. Besides, he lived with his two brothers, Preston and Shane, but they did have places set aside for when they did find their mates. He would talk to them about it...they would know...hopefully. "How about a date?" That seemed like a logical step. He could invite her to meet his brothers, maybe they could even get Emilia to cook. He doubted Everest would want to eat anything that he made...
"That sounds perfect." Everest smiled lightly at Talen. Truthfully, neither her or her wolf ever wanted to leave Talen again, but she wasn't sure how he would feel about it. A date would be nice though, maybe learn a bit more about each other. After all, they were going to spend the rest of their lives together. Weren't they. A jumble of thoughts flew into Everest's mind as once, her eyebrows furrowing slightly. What if he didn't want her when he got to know the real Everest? What if his family didn't like her? What if he was too embarrassed to say he didn't want her as a mate and was simply being polite? She tried to banish the thoughts from her mind unsuccessfully and bit the side of her lip habitually.
"Great!" He smiled down at her, he couldn't wait for his family to meet her. Well, he supposed he should probably inform her that he was planning on taking her to met his brothers. "I guess, well, it's less of a date and more of a taking you to meet the family kind of thing. Are you...are you okay with that?" He hoped so, he wanted to show her off to his family, he knew that his brothers were going to love her. How could they not? Talen was falling head over heels for her already.
"There's nothing I would rather do." Everest grinned and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek, lacing her fingers through his. Maybe she was being too forward, but at this point she couldn't care less. She had discovered her mate, and he was everything she imagined he would be! Everest could already tell he wouldn't abandon her, and her earlier fears were dissipating by the minute. Her gaze went down to the water below, and she gently swung her legs back and forth like a pendulum.
"I'm glad...what about you, did any of your family come with you...?" He didn't know any other way to ask her if her family had survived. He, of all people, knew how bad it hurt to lose family, and he didn't want to mention it if at all possible. So he started rambling about his family, "I have brothers...Preston, he's an elder...yeah, he's the youngest one that Silvermoon has ever had. Then there's Shane, he's a Sentinel...and full of himself, well until Emilia puts him in his place. Speaking of Emilia, she's like a sister to us. Our families were close and we were practically raised together." Talen hoped that Everest would like Emilia, and not see her as a threat. Because she wasn't, at all. A blush rose on his cheeks as she kiss it, and he placed one upon her cheek in return.
Everest smiled at his rambling. It was adorable, but she didn't want to make her mate uncomfortable. "My mother and sister came with me. Well, the empty shell of my mother anyway." She relented, her face impassive as she recalled her unstable mother. Every day was the same. Everest's mother sat in her chair every day, unmoving and stoic. After her husband's death, the woman has never been the same. Everest was left to care for her sister, and it was not an easy task. "My father died in a rogue attack, the one that killed my other pack." Everest said, sadness entering her voice at the remembrance of her previous pack. They were her family, and every single one of them had been killed. She ducked her head and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, wondering if she had said too much.
Talen's heart broke for his mate, he hated that she had to suffer though pain such as that. "My parents...well they died trying to buy my bothers and I a chance to escape before our rival pack, along with their pet rogues killed them..." Talen frowned, hating to remember the past, but as she shared her story with him, he wanted to tell her his. It was his way of telling her he understood how she felt and would be there for her through it all. "I would love to meet them sometime...your more than welcome to bring them with you when you meet my family." He lifted her head by placing his finger underneath her chin. Bringing her face closer to his, he brushed his lips softly against hers, giving her the chance to back away if she wanted to.
