I enjoyed this book. I listened to it in audio and really liked the narrator.I look forward to continuing the series.
I just read number 11 in this series last month. I love Kitty. I started to get board with this series around the 8th book, but the last two have brought me back to the Kitty I love :)
Yay the one book I've been nominating (cuz it's on my TBR pile) finally got picked :) Just started it this morning on my break at work, so far so good :)
i didnt like this one as much as i wanted to. the concept was great but seemed like something was off or missing. idk. maybe i'll read the second one to be sure.
Uh oh, I'm 12% in and (view spoiler) My inner feminist is not liking this at all. I'm not new to werewolf power dynamics in this genre, but that's a bit much for me. Where's Mercy Thompson when you need her? :(

I like Kitty and am mostly enjoying the book so far (I'm about 35% now). I feel bad that she has this conflicting dual nature where the wolf in her compels her to submit to things that the human otherwise wouldn't want to do.
I really liked it. I liked how Kitty grew and got her self confidence. I was a little disappointed with her position in the end but will be interested in the next book. I thought the werewolf dynamics were drawn in a way I could believe.
For those that have read past the first book in this series, do Carl and Meg ever appear again? The way that part of the story concluded was very unsatisfying for me.
So I know we had a lot of people hoping that this book would be chosen. What do you guys think of it?
I loved this book and the rest of the series. I'm really looking forward to the next book. Watching Kitty grow into a strong, self-reliant character was one of the most satisfying elements of the book. The secondary characters are all well developed, as well. Definitely worth reading.
I really enjoyed this book. I listened to the audiobook and I could actually believe that I was listening to her radio show. The story line could have been stronger but the main character was likable and I think that is half the battle to win me over.
I liked it and I feel the story was enhanced by the narrator. I think this first book sets a good stage and sets an expectation of growth for Kitty.I liked her as a late-night DJ struggling to find her niche.
I liked it enough to continue through. I got about 1/2 into book 5 and have come to a big slow down. Book 4 was a good stopping point as the story comes full circle and she returns to Denver, also she has a mate and that fleshes out pretty well. I should have stopped there, at least for a while. It was a good choice for me as a BOTM though I think I voted for The Mane Event.
I really disliked how the pack dynamics were at the beginning of the novel. I'm not really up for domineering alphas, but I appreciated how Kitty grew as a character throughout the book. I'm going to stick with the series.
I thought it was just okay. I can see the potential for a great series, but this book itself didn't really suck me in. Thankfully it was fast paced read. It peaked my interest enough to see how Kitty develops in the series and where the series is going to go. I also did enjoy the radio talk show part.
I love the Kitty books. The first book threw me a bit when the end was not so happy, but I really like that now about them.

I got this book like two years ago and have just never got around to it, I may have to jump in late on this discussion or I'll never end up reading this one. I think the mixed reviews about how she's treated and her reaction to that had put me off partially, but it's good to hear that gets better throughout the series.
