May's read-along will be one of the new books by the author's, Camilla Läckberg, Viktor Arnar Ingólfsson, Yrsa Sigurðardóttir, and Leena Lehtolainen. These books will be for sale at the beginning date in the U.S.

Do you think the Ice Princess can be included in this read along? I usually like to start with the first book in the series? Just wanted to know,

If you haven't read it yet, then I would suggest that you do.

Ian wrote: "Which Camilla & Yrsa books are they?"Camilla Läckberg is The Stranger and Yrsa Sigurðardóttir is "Someone to Wach Over Me". They should come up under
Current Reading, if they don't let me know.

message 6: by Ian (new)

Ian | 35 comments Ah I've read both of them - I think. Someone To Watch Over Me - I think that's the one that was called I Remember You in the UK and was the one that didn't have Thora in it. I also didn't realise the UK was that far ahead with Camilla - I'm currently waiting on #7.

message 7: by Ian (new)

Ian | 35 comments It isn't the Yrsa one I was thinking of - so I gotta seek it out.

Ian | 35 comments OK now I'm confused. I clicked on the link on the front page and got a review of a book I've not read. Checked on Fantastic Fiction and Amazon...and it came up with I Remember You?????

Anna (aetm) | 228 comments Maybe one of these classic cases of the same title being with different names in different countries, like Mercy = The Keepers of Lost Causes...

I have Daybreak. I should start reading it next week after I read Henning Mankell.

I'm reading The Stranger and wow it's not in the order we've gotten the books. Unless I've done something out of wack. Well I know what happens.

message 12: by Susan (new)

Susan (susanthomas) I have Daybreak on my Kindle ready to go, but I have a couple of other reads to get through first.

Mary Choberka | 69 comments I'm listening to The Stranger and, somehow, I've read the ones I have in order.

I'm reading Daybreak and having a little trouble caring about the detectives - which I must do to enjoy. I'll give it a bit more effort.

I believe that The Stranger has finally played into our hands Patrick and Erica are finally married and everything makes sense now.

I started Lackberg with The Stranger...book four. And will continue from book four as I enjoy the characters private and work lives although perhaps it took me awhile to get used to her format of so many characters stories and switching from one to the other without notice or chapter change....once I adjusted to her writing style, I enjoyed the flow so I downloaded what is to date available, to me, in English and am on a reading binge. Quite pleasant and only slowed due to visitors from NA three in a row so not much reading time for a few weeks!

Filming of the new TV series Fjällbacka Murders began in August 2011 based on the characters from Läckberg's novels, but the stories will be new, with actors Claudia Galli and Richard Ulfsäter playing Erica and Patrik. 'My books are my children & I want to hand them over to somebody who will look after them,' Camilla is quoted as saying.
Läckberg and her friend and fellow author Denise Rudberg have hosted the literature series Läckberg & Rudberg on SVT.

I finished Daybreak. At first, there wasn't a lot of suspense and I wasn't sure I would like the book. By the end, I changed my mind. It really sneaked up on me. I would read other books by this author. Hope we will have a discussion because I thought some things were left in the air.

This was my review. I gave it 4 stars

I'm glad to hear this as it is really dragging for me - don't care much for detectives either.

See what you think by the end. I was really surprised.

I fear I am becoming difficult but it is not meant to be so!

After much research, I can only conclude that Department Q 3 is Redemption in one area and A Conspiracy of Faith in another....in my part of Europe on iBook I need to wait for Redemption until July 18 but it is pre ordered. Coming next for this author are:
Journal 64 Q4
Marco Effetken Q5

Therefore I cannot join the read along....
