What are some of your favorite themes that are covered in children's books, and your favorite book that addresses them... Sibling rivalry, moving, sharing, life, etc...

My favorite is The Giving Tree, a wonderful story about sharing, giving, and the change of relationships over time.

M.G. King (mgking) Children's books often deal with loss -- The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, by Kate DiCamillo is a story that deals with this beautifully. Also Katherine Patterson's classic Bridge to Terebithia.

Themes that contained danger, adventure and the ultimate good over evil always sparked the imagination of my children

Brooke | 16 comments I love the "Lemony Snicket a Series of Unfortunate Events" stories. Love the adventures and lessons the children learn.
